I posted here asking why my wishlist growth was slow. I finally added the trailer and updated the Steam page. Does it feel stronger now?

Hi everyone,

I posted here before asking why my Steam wishlist growth felt slow, and a lot of you gave me very helpful feedback. Thanks a lot!

The main points were that the Steam page didn’t explain the game clearly enough, the screenshots looked too similar, and the page really needed a trailer.

I tried to apply as much of that feedback as I could.

Since then, I’ve added the official trailer, updated the screenshots, and made some changes to the Steam page presentation.

I’d really appreciate another round of honest feedback:

- Does the trailer explain the game better now?

- Do the screenshots and Steam page feel clearer and more appealing?

- Does the page feel more wishlist-worthy, or is there still something holding it back?

Thank you so much again. The feedback from this subreddit genuinely helped me improve the page.

Two people, one year, one game. Spirit Talk launches June 8th on Steam

Hey r/indiegaming 👋

We're Tortita Studio , a two-person indie team based in Spain. After a year of development, our visual novel Spirit Talk finally has a launch date: June 8th on Steam.

What's the game?

Spirit Talk is a cozy visual novel where you play as Julia, a young woman who inherits her late mother's shop in a small magical town. Along with the shop, she inherits the Gift — the ability to communicate with spirits, including her mother's.

It's a game about grief, memory, and finding your footing in a community that already has its own history without you.

What it took

One artist. One developer. One year.

Every illustration drawn by hand. A custom scroll engine built in Ren'Py. A character layer system so NPCs interact naturally with the environment. A spell minigame. A cast of characters with their own stories. Full localization in English and Spanish.

Where we are

  • 🗓️ Launch: June 8th
  • 💰 Price: 10,99$ (There will be regional adaptations in each area.)
  • 🌍 Languages: English & Spanish
  • 🖥️ Platform: Steam (PC)
  • 🎮 Controller & Steam Deck ready

Wishlist link → https://store.steampowered.com/app/4002100/Spirit_Talk__Cozy_Visual_Novel/

Thanks for reading, happy to answer anything about the development process 🙂

Are you looking game that's more city fixer than city builder?

Just officially announced my game, Neighborhoods, which is a city sim that goes in a different direction from traditional games in the genre - instead of shaping a skyline you're crafting a community. I feel like I see regularly see posts looking for recommendations in this vein, like either fixing up a city, or more modern urbanism (mixed use omg), so I'm very curious what people think.

Any upvotes/shares/wishlists greatly appreciated!

Interactive Menu is a new trend?!

The language selection is limited to only seven options, which means that if I want to localize the game for more countries, I'll need a larger shelf :-)

Demo is live now, so you can try this fancy menu and other screens of the game on Steam.

Is Graveyard Keeper Worth Retrying?

I LOVEE creepy “cozy” games and was so excited to try out Graveyard Keeper but I found it really difficult to get into. Even multiple hours in I was still having to look stuff up, and the disorganized crafting situation made it difficult for my ADHD.

Does it get any better? Should I retry it a second time?

Thesis research :Decoding the Cozy Game Phenomenon

Hi everyone,

As part of my Master's thesis in Marketing, I am researching the business and communication strategies used by cozy game publishers to appeal to female and casual players. My study focuses on how publishers break away from traditional, male-dominated gaming codes by leveraging specific visual aesthetics, emotional and psychological triggers, and lifestyle influencer marketing.

I am currently looking for two types of profiles to help me with my research:

  1. Female casual gamers (aged 18 to 40) who play relaxing games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Unpacking, Disney Dreamlight Valley, The Sims, or Palia. The process involves a 30 to 45-minute anonymous audio or video chat about your relationship with these games and how their marketing appeals to you. If you fit this profile, please fill out this quick screening form:

https://forms.gle/uCk3ApFak6K4FHg6A

  1. Game developers or publishers working in the cozy gaming sector. If you are involved in designing, marketing, or communicating these types of games, I would love to interview you to get the industry's perspective on how you adapt your strategies for this specific audience. Please do not fill out the form; instead, you can contact me directly via private message or at my dedicated research email:

Thank you very much for your time.

Cozycreepy

Not sure if i should post here or in a horror sub, but are there any cozy games with creepy or deep themes and such? i guess my closest is stardew valley and shane’s alcoholism because it tackles a mature theme in the town. I guess like, or something like your neighbor in the town is a ghost? stuff like that? with mining farming house building and stuff?

EDIT- amazing replies! thanks everyone 🥰

A cozy space cooking game with local co-op. Explore planets, grab weird ingredients, feed patient aliens. Steam page is up '^^ would love your feedback!

Hi everyone! We are two friends making a cozy little cooking game, set in space, where nobody is rushing you.

In No Space For Salad, you run a food truck in orbit, explore colorful unknown planets to gather strange ingredients, cook weird alien recipes, and decorate your little space restaurant however you like. It can be played solo or in local co-op for now.

We just launched our Steam page and wanted to share it here, because this community feels like exactly the right place. The trailer is very early alpha footage — the game is still in prototyping — so please be gentle! We are aiming for a late 2027 or mid 2028 release.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3882900/No_Space_For_Salad/

We would genuinely love to hear what you think. Any feedback, big or small, means a lot at this stage. And if it looks like something you might enjoy someday, a wishlist on Steam would truly make our day.

Thank you for taking the time to look!

First trailer for our cozy shop game, Gemmy Gems! 💎

Hey everyone! ✨

My team and I have been working on a cozy shop management game called Gemmy Gems, and I'm so incredibly excited to finally share our trailer with you all!

In this game, you run your own jewelry shop in a fantasy world. The core loop is super relaxing: you explore different biomes to gather raw stones, bring them back to your workshop to carefully mold and polish them, and then sell your sparkling jewels to a cast of mystical customers. You can also collect every gem type to complete your own museum! 🏛️💎

Since it's a cozy game, there's no rush or heavy stress. You can just sit back and play at your own pace. I think the strongest part of the game is our quirky characters. We have a very specific cast ✨

We are joining Steam Next Fest next month and will be launching a playtest very soon. If this looks like your kind of game, adding it to your wishlist would mean the world to us 💖

Cosmic Void - Simple & fun arcade game for the morning commute

Hey everyone,

I’ve been messing around with a small arcade game called Cosmic Void and wanted to share it here and see what people think.

The whole idea started from a simple question:

what if gravity was the control mechanic?

So instead of using buttons, you tilt your phone to control gravity and try to guide planets into black holes.

It starts pretty easy with one planet and one black hole… but every level adds more of both, so things start getting chaotic fast. Half the time it turns into a space pinball situation where you’re just trying to save the run.

The goal was to make something really simple to understand but hard to actually master.

Some quick details:

- You tilt your device to control gravity

- Planets need to fall into black holes

- Each level adds more planets + black holes

- Levels get progressively more chaotic

- Short, quick runs (good for killing a few minutes)

- No ads

If anyone wants to try it I can send codes to download it for free - just DM me, otherwise it costs the price of a cup of coffee

How to download: Play Store - Cosmic Void

Thanks for reading :)

Slice To Meet You - анонс нашої першої гри в Steam

Вітаю, спільното. Ми невеличка інді-студія, і щойно анонсували нашу першу гру на Steam.

Little Ghosties Demo Launches On Tuesday!

Hi!
I’m making a cozy idle pet collection desktop game called Little Ghosties.

The demo comes out on Tuesday.

I’m really excited to share what I’ve been working on with the cozy game community.

My last game was an incremental game and the Reddit community are certainly feisty to say the lease.

If this looks like the sort of game you’d like to play then drop me a wishlist on Steam.

Many thanks,

Chris

Looking for a game that combines cozy and non-cozy vibes

So, I just started playing Palia a few weeks ago and I already finished the main quest line. I really enjoy the cozy aspect where I can do some light gardening and ranching, then go mining or hunting for materials and build/decorate my house. I am new to the cozy game genre and this is the first one I've played. I was wondering if there any good games out there that combine the cozy vibes with more traditional rpg elements like combat and/or more realistic hunting.

In my head, I'm wanting a game that has combat like Skyrim, but cozy vibes like where I can take a break and just chill and decorate my house. I know skyrim has a house building dlc, but I'm wanting something less restrictive that still has good combat gameplay too.

I hope that all makes sense. Any recommendations?

I made a cozy pirate game, first game ever and would love feedback!

Hi all, I just made a game I had in my head for years. I loved the 2D pirate games of the 90s and 2k’s but it never felt clean enough, so I just made my own.

It’s called Leave Her Johnny (if you’ve ever played AC4 you’ll get the reference)

Version 1.0 is live in the Apple App Store, it’s free and no in app purchases or anything, just really a proof run of how I can continue down this path!

Appreciate any feedback!
