Capsule Art, same background I drew for the main menu.

Please forgive the mixels and rotations, I know it's a sin hahaha. I assembled it from various art pieces and had to place them to fit the capsule size requirements.

Blubbi - A MMO cute and cozy creature collector idle game I'm solo developing, has recently opened it's Steam page and has an active Playtest - Come join us!

Game Title: Blubbi

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4569130/Blubbi/

Platform: PC - Windows

Description:

It's essentially a game inspired by Neopets and various idle games, whereby you can collect cute creatures called Blubbies, you can feed them, give them toys, and they passively generate currency and experience. To level up you can send them to school. There's tons of dailies where you can get a variety of different items such as food, drinks, toys, map pieces that unlock new areas, ancient relics that give bonuses, stamps. There's a lot to collect and look out for. It's meant to be played as a side monitor game that you just check-in once in a while. I'm constantly adding new features and love getting feedback!

We also have leaderboards and a global chat where your avatar is your current blubbi, and your blubbi's level. There's server-wide events.

The main way to collect rarer and rarer blubbies is by rolling the firework "gacha" whereby you use the currency that your blubbi generates to buy fireworks that attract blubbies from the surrounding area.

The game will be free on release.

Free to Play Status:

100% Free to play

Involvement: I'm the only developer behind this game, the large majority of the art was also drawn by me, the rest was commissioned from a fellow friend pixel artist.

I'll be posting more art that I've done for the past couple of months shortly, but what do you guys think so far? Isla Nama in Blubbi.

Basically title. I've been working on the lore for the world for years, and drawing pixel art for years as well. I've been drawing the art for the world of Ivalisia. I've worked on the code for approximately 3 months and it's currently in a closed playtest.

This project is inspired by Neopets. You get a starter Blubbi, and you have various dailies where you can get food, drinks, toys, map pieces, equipment, etc. It's basically a side-monitor idler that you just check-in once in a while. I currently have 64 different Blubbi's that you can acquire. The project is fully online and multiplayer, there's leaderboards and a global chat as well as server events. There's around 500-600 items with 9 different rarity levels that you can collect and use. I have a bunch of different collections / archive collection displays too.

I also made a music player and pretty much all the music is lo-fi from Purrple Cat (with their permission)

A bit more about the pixel art:

The trees (and bushes), sand, ships, dock, and water were drawn by a friend that I hired years ago to create reuseable art that works well for my fantasy world (Ivalisia) which this project is set in, among a few other projects, I recoloured the water, everything else was drawn by me. I'm still learning but I'm at around 2,000 hours on aseprite so I've built up some skills, I just wish I was better at vegetation and animations hahaha.

The page isn't public yet since I don't have a trailer but I'd be happy to give out keys to anyone that wants to help playtest :D.

Anyone interested in joining a closed Steam playtest for Blubbi - a MMO-lite cute and cozy, pet caring and creature collector idle game I'm working on.

Hey guys, as the title says, I'm currently working on an MMO-lite Cute creature collector idle game. It's a cute 2d pixel art game, the playtest build is live on Steam but I'm hoping to get a few more cozy gamers and pixel art game fans thoughts and feedback before I turn the playtest public.

I'm not widely sharing art yet but trust me it's cute and cozy! It even has a built-in Lo-fi music player.

If this sounds like your type of game please let me know I'll send you a playtest key :D

Thank you, and I hope to see you in Ivalisia with your own Blubbi!
