I had originally hoped for an IISER but now I think I should join a college as a backup. I live in Kolkata,West Bengal.

Please kindly suggest any colleges which are still taking admission from board marks/direct.

1. Which IISERs have single occupancy rooms. I know Brp and Mohali(?) have single rooms from 2nd yr. Any other IISERs like this? Also for the other IISERs can I get any flat/pg nearby like for TVM.

I would really prefer studying/sleeping in private.

2. Can I bring my table,chair from home to hostel? I have a pretty decent setup(I know it depends on room size, but I think it will fit). Continuing on this, can I bring a sub 800W towerPC setup. I already have two laptops but they are 5yr old now and outdated. Don't wanna buy yet another lappy.

Additionally, can I get a cooler in any IISER hostel considering I stay within the hostel room's wattage limit? Where can I find this data tho.

3. What is the availability of good doctors for rural area campuses like brp,tvm? I am constantly sick (main reason for my 2 drops), so I really need access to decent gastroenterologist/surgeon.

4. Availability of e-commerce services. I know brp doesn't have access to blinkit like quick delivery. Can I get Amul Lactose free milk in Brp,Tvm?(I KNOW it seems outa left field, but I drink like 750ml everyday, it's a habit sorry)

5. Which campus has least dogs. I know every campus has them but which IISERs has least. I had a traumatic experience a year back(ganged up on me for no reason) , so I try to avoid them now.

Can anyone guide for English taught BSc/BS-MS programs taught abroad ,majorly Physics and Mathematics research oriented courses. I am just looking for a good institute with decent labs . Don't care about placement/job/settling. I will pursue Master's and a PhD later.

Long story short, my aadhaar card photo is of when I was like 9. Pretty sure will face problems if I put aadhaar card as one of the 2 identity proofs required. So, I have decided not to go with that. I would likely go with PAN and school marksheet/bank passbook.

However, I have come to know in some PSK ,the don't give a damn what you selected. They have autonomy to demand whatever documents they like, and such is written on the official government passport website as well. So from your experience what PSK should I opt for and choose my appointement. I live in Howrah, can go to Kolkata .

Will be applying for passport in tatkal as I need it to fill up some forms before 30th June
