Is this worth the $60 for the full game and DLC bundle from Steam?

I always liked these party games and been looking into Gigabash lately. Im getting pretty into super robots and kaiju thanks for Super Robot Wars and various anime. I really like Ultraman as well and theres several varieties here.

So basically if I am playing it mostly solo, how much content will I enjoy vs AI?

Is there online and is it populated?

Im on the fence to get it

What else do I even do in this situation?

Been working at a lab for almost 3 years.

Some background. The company was doing well until we lost a big client and around 30 people got laid off.

We are running in a skeleton crew. There are supposed to be 3 people in my department and now im the only one.

Each year we get a raise and for 2026 mine was only 1% when its normally around 3.5%.

I figured this was because HR is upset with me because last year I had to take an entire week off and go negative into my PTO because my son had Hand Foot Moutb Disease.

When I was suppose to talk to HR about options for leave or FMLA, instead thr HR rep basically told me I could get fired for missing so much work and that "a sick child is not a reason to miss work " and that i could have "gotten a babysitter"

Fast forward to beginning of April, I send my manager an email asking for a raise. I gave proof of my contribution by showing how many reports people were doing and I was doing over 50% in a 3 person team.

I never heard anything because my manager is notorious for just not responding to emails and when I confronted him about it he said he would talk to our GM.

Over a month passed and the 2 people in my department left. In the past 2 months 4 people have left the company because of how bad it is here.

I scheduled a meeting with my GM and said ive been doing 3 people's work, I barely got a raise and I wanted a better one. She said she would talk to HR about it.

That was 2 weeks ago. Ive had no response or follow up. I sent another email just asking when I can expect a response so that im not spamming them and I never got anything back.

The people that quit they begged to stay and asked what they could do to get them to stay. Do I risk putting in my 2 weeks or threatening to quit to get them to do something?

Theres really no backup for my position right now other than my manager and he hates doing anything as he just sits in his office on his phone.

Capcom is the company every gaming company should strive to be like

Its 2026. Big AAA companies like Nintendo are charing $80 for games with games rarely going on sale and selling Switch games that look like N64 games (Pokémon S&V)

Other companies are jumping to live service, battle passes and whatever way to get tou to spend money on subpar games.

Then theres Capcom.

  1. Games go on sale all the time. RE Requiem just came out and is on sale. You can easily get every modern RE for under $10. You can get games like MH Rise and World bundle for less than $20 which is hundreds of hours of content.

I get an email almost every other week about another Capcom sale here or there.

  1. One of the few companies creating banger after banger recently. Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter Wilds, RE remakes and Requiem, Pragmatic, SF6 doing hugely successful still especially compared to Tekken and MK.

  2. Not afraid to still experiment. Pragmata and Exoprimal are 2 recent completely new IP Capcom games. Where other companies heavily rely on their legacy games Capcom isn't afraid to try new things, with failure (Exoprimal), and Success (Pragmata).

  3. All of their videos games feel like genuine fun games without the fluff. So many AAA games get stuck in the Sony treatment of trying to create huge cinematic and set pieces with realistic graphics and putting gameplay last.

Capcom games have always felt gameplay focused. Although I will say some of their recent games like MH Wilds do tend to overdo their cutscenes.

  1. They almost always run really well. The only game I ever had trouble with was MH Wilds at launch. Every Capcom game has always run damn perfect at launch and they make games somehow run well even on Switch.

I normally dont simp for game companies but Capcom is one of the few older companies still doing great and consistent work.

So if youre reading this Capcom please bring back Sengoku Basara especially on Switch

What makes an adaptation "good"?

This is something I often think about when it comes to movies coming out based on books or video games or any preexisting media. What makes the adaptation good?

I think they fall into several examples.

Adaptations that adapt source material well AND make a great movie.

Adaptations that adapt the source material poorly, but make a good movie.

Adaptations that adapt the source material poorly and make a bad movie.

Let's look at some examples.

  1. Resident Evil. Around 9 movies that only vaguely follow the story of the games, casually taking elements from them and throwing them into the movies.

The first movie had a nice zombie thriller vibe and the rest of them went full action with little to do with the theme (survival horror) or story of the games.

The movies did successful money wise but they are not looked at as good Resident Evil movies.

With the Welcome To Racoon City movie, they tried to go back to the survival horror roots and follow the story of the first 2 games but it did nkt hold up.

The new RE movie coming out feels nothing like the games in tone (falling bodies and chill fat zombies in sewers?). If it didnt have the RE name, would anyone even be able to guess its a RE movie? If the movies dont follow any of the story of the games, who are they marketing for thr movie?

RE fits into the adapts the source material poorly and makes decent to bad movies. I dont think we have seen a genuinely good RE movie that's entertaining and adapts the source material well.

  1. Lord of the Rings.

I feel this is the pinnacle of adapting a source material well and making an amazing movie.

While it does leave some stuff out and changes some things from the books, overall the premise and ideas are all there and its made into an amazing epic of a trilogy.

I believe this how every adaptation should strive for, where it appeals to the fans and to the mass audience while making a genuinely good movie.

  1. Ready Player One.

Ready Player One is an example that does a poor job of adaptation, but still makes a genuinely fun movie.

The movie and book are only similar in their premise and name. Huge sections of the book are completely different from the movie, from the Easter Eggs, to the characters that appear, to characters living and dying, and even the ending.

It takes the premise and builds a contemporary movie on it.

This is where I like each one separately. I would love for a 1 to 1 adaptation of thr book but the movie was fun overall and had its own fun references (RPO is all about its references)

So what makes a movie a good adaptation?

The amount of money it makes?

How much its loved by fans of the series?

If its entertaining on its own with little to do with source material?

My attempt at Mashymre Cello in Tekken 8

Lee is my favorite character, and I always try to find characters from things I love to make him for.

I felt Mashymre the best choice from Gundam.
