I have a request I just need to see

Just recently picked up a shadow 2 carry. Been a few years since I’ve had a P01 and I’m kinda leaning towards thinking a P01 is better for me than the S2 carry. Anyone who has both a P01 and shadow 2 carry, can you confirm that the P01 slide fits on the S2 carry frame? Maybe throw a picture in the comments? I’m just curious

For those of you wondering why I would prefer the P01. I went with the S2 carry for the optic mount and better slide ergos. Now that I have the pistol it kinda feels like a “big” small gun. I can’t fully explain it, and it’s not that I hate it, just for a daily use case I think the P01 is over all slimmer with a more sleek profile even when milled for an optic.

My sinus saga appears to be over, thankfully

It started with sinus issues last August, flew on a plane, my sinuses got super swollen and inflamed and basically never went back to normal. Saw an ENT, confirmed fluid in maxillary and small drainage opening. Had a balloon procedure, plus turbinate reduction. Felt okay during the healing process

Jump ahead about a month and all my symptoms came back, “fluid” still present. I’m out on around 8 different antibiotics in a 60 day period, “fluid” still persists. But now my teeth hurt, so rather than take more antibiotics I go to my dentist. 3D scan my face and yup “there is fluid sitting on your tooth, get it drained and we’ll look again”

So at this point my ENT. Is happy to keep throwing antibiotics at it, so I start looking for a new ent and get recommended a private practice ent near me. They don’t take insurance period and it’s all out of pocket. Scary to say the least but I’m desperate, first and foremost it was a way better experience than the ent I was seeing before. She tells me she wants a CT from a specific place because they have the clearest images she’s ever seen. So $200 and I get the scan.

New ent tells me “wow you have a complex and sorta rare anatomy between your sinus and your teeth”. Sinuses sit in a valley kinda between my teeth. “It makes it really hard to see what’s going on, which is why I wanted this scan because I can clearly see you have a gnarly tooth infection in the right and left side”
Clear as day I can see the black mass on teeth that sit right up against the sinus. The “fluid” in my maxillary isn’t even fluid, it’s swelling it’s been swelling the entire time which is why antibiotics didn’t get rid of it. Only masked the issue and why it kept coming back.
The infection and swelling was so bad it was affecting my entire sinuses, but all the swelling was internal because of my anatomy.

So yesterday I had a root canal done on the first tooth, horrific I felt the “pop” when he opened the infected root. It smelled like a dead body instantly and the dentist said “this has been infected a long time for it to smell like that”. Yep infected for over 10 months. I’m 24 hours post root canal and I can feel all of my sinuses going back to normal, I nasal rinsed this morning and blew the most disgusting glob of goop out of the left side (root canal side) and actually felt the rise go into my maxillary for the first time.

What a wild ride man, glad to finally be getting some relief, new ent is extremely confident that I should be entirely back to normal in a month or two once both teeth are treated because the rest of my sinuses looked fine.

Kinda wish we could have an updated SP-01

I think basically an aluminum framed shadow 2 with a decocker would be nice. “Enhanced” ergos, optics ready, and just overall a sick option to have in the full-size space. Not to mention it would scratch my OCD itch to have a compact and a full size of the same gun. The SP-01 tactical is great as it is now…. But give me that 10% better. I’m entirely sure they could do it considering they make the compact already.

those of you who have an endoscopy where they clean out your maxillary...

was that a pretty easy procedure? I've got stubborn fluid sitting in the bottom of one side of my maxillary even after surgery, antibiotics and steroids that's putting pressure on one of my teeth and the pain is excruciating , and it seems like I've finally got an Ent to listen to me when i ask them "can't you just physically remove it and we see if it comes back"? I've been on nearly every different antibiotic with no luck. current insurance approved ent seems happy to keep throwing them at it though. New ent seems confident that it can be cleaned out, just that its deeper in the maxillary so it might be more involved. So just wondering how it went for others.

Recommend me some similar options?

So I’ve narrowed down my niche size and feature set that I’d like in an everyday pack. BUT I need a bit more water resistance and durability than this bag. The bag pictured is a Vertx any day bag - https://vertx.com/products/any-day-backpack?srsltid=AfmBOop1uSTsIdVYBjOgU5CXuAzpxv4AtejXqL-BD996\_bdmi9lA52Xr.
Website linked so you can read more about it if you want.
It rains a good bit where I live, it’s humid as well and I tend to use my bags at theme parks and when I travel as well. So again a decent bit of durability, water resistant zippers, and external waterbottle holders are a must. A padded laptop sleeve or iPad sleeve is also nice but not a total must.
I ordered the vertex bag and carried it a few days and got heavily rained on and it soaked through which made me return the bag, otherwise I liked everything else about it. So any recommendations would be appreciated.

Freshly coated after break in oil change

PPF’d the roof black, look dope but also park near a tree and Honda’s paint is kinda bad with sap and stuff.
Finally broke her in, changed oil and finally did a few WOT pulls. Meh it’s a 4 banger, I wasn’t expecting much. The saying “there is no replacement for displacement” kinda rings true here, but I knew what I was getting with this car and am still happy with the car overall. The suspension has broken in a bit, or at least I’m used to it. My friend still complained that it was very stiff.
First thing on my list to change is the steering wheel. I don’t like with how thin it is. Mugen wheel is on the way. Rubber “leather” shift boot has got to go too. Possibly thinking of retrofitting the integra type S knob and collar for an oem+ kinda look and feel. Very expensive though for no reason.
I think overall very basic bolt ons is where I’d end up with this car. Springs and wheels. Bit more cooling and airflow for the engine to wake things up a bit and then leave it there.

P30 volker trigger question

Anyone running one with the GG short reset? Did it require any fitting? They specify “only factory parts” trying to decipher if that’s “if it doesn’t work and you break it it’s not our fault” or legit it straight up won’t work?

They really upped the difficulty in this game

I used to be able to dabble in “unbeatable” in FH5 if I was feeling sweaty enough, but now I can hardly ever beat “expert” without borderline cheating. The AI are un rammable, immune to water and jumps and just unbelievably fast regardless of what tune I have in my car lol. It’s crazy, I can feel like “wow I’m driving my best” and then finish in 4th. I hope they fix it to where the difficulties are more in line with the titles lol, very humbling experience.

26’ Type R from 18’ F82 M4

My initial thought are, I’m happy overall with the car. A million settings in the CTR I had to sit down and change that felt like nonsense, but I assume that all modern cars now. FWD is something I’m still getting used to. It’s not as “in your face” with this car as it is with some other, but I notice the subtle differences here and there. Interior is fine. Wish they had the racing black package in the states, I’m not crazy about red interiors. It’s slow in comparison but a lot more fun to live with day to day and in realistic driving conditions its power is fine. Could use a wee bit more for my personal tastes buts its fine. The M4 later in its life started to show its “BMW-ness” leaking diff, leaking oil pan, suspension bushing wearing out pretty quickly. Subframes have to be dropped for a surprising amount of repairs and it’s not cheap at all lol. I’m excited to enjoy this car, don’t plan to get crazy with it, but who knows. I’ve heard from a lot of friends the CTRs eat rear brakes if you drive in +R. I like the throttle response though so I guess I’ll budget for brakes. Great cars though, never owned a Honda before but if past type R’s are similar to this in anyway I can say I “get it” now.

Fl5 mugen steering wheel question

For those of you who have this wheel, how much thicker than stock is it? I’m coming from an f82 M4 and the oem wheel is like pencil thin to me and I really don’t like it lol

I wish it shared similar dimensions to the cc9 like the length of pull, trigger guard undercut and an extended base plate that looks like it’s supposed to be there. I’m aware the flush mag has a pinky baseplate. I’d probably run that if I bought one. The CC9 is a tiny gun for babies that I can manage to hold and shoot just fine although it’s not fun. Just holding the VP9cc I can tell it’s just too small for me personally where it counts. Which is a shame because it looks so freakin good in comparison to the cc9. Maybe I need to try it with backstraps or something, I was only able to mess with it as it’s shown. I like the optic mount though. Maybe in 25 years HK will bless us with a vp9CC L that’s a smidge bigger for those of us that aren’t 4’11 and bake cookies in trees lololol

Just got my grit grips frame. Shipping took about 9 days from ordering to assembling. I got the stripped model and just plopped my oem parts into it. It has a completely factory fit and finish. Grit’s FDE looks nice although a little on the lighter side. I’m more of a fan of the coyote of the OEM. I might end up cerakoting darker to match better. But over all I’m very happy with the frame for the price. Good edc traction on the grip. I can’t “feel” the grip angle difference but I pick up the dot much more naturally so it makes a difference. No Glock knuckle thanks to the smooth undercut. I’ll take it out shooting next weekend. Well worth the money in my opinion.
Also was gonna try and squeeze a radian magwell on. Don’t know if it’ll fit or not though

▲ 6 r/P226

I’m considering a trading for one barely used. I’ve only ever shot old German 226’s a couple years ago. With these new modern 226s is anyone having quality control issues or anything to speak of regarding the x carry specifically? Every 365 I’ve ever carried has rusted and the finishes have been garbage not to mention breaking trigger return springs. Can I expect the same with this?
