Low free and total testosterone but normal LH and FSH

Hello community. I am a 31 M, who exercise regularly (3-4 x/week) and try to eat healthy with good amount of protein, fats and carbs. For the past few months, I have been experiencing fatigue, muscle weakness, almost zero libido, my morning wood is also a rare event and I cannot sustain my erections. I don’t have energy to perform in the gym as well, it is becoming hard to lift the same weights i used to lift easily. So I got my hormones checked recently, and these are the results:

DHEAS: 8.61 µmol/L — Reference: 4.34–12.2 µmol/L
DHEAS: 3168 µg/L — Reference: 1597–4490µg/L
SHBG: 21.7 nmol/L — Reference: 18.3–54.1 nmol/L
Free Testosterone: 152 pmol/L — Reference: 174–729 pmol/L ↓
Total Testosterone: 6.41 nmol/L — Reference: 8.64–29.0 nmol/L ↓
Total Testosterone: 1.8 µg/L — Reference: 2.49–8.36 µg/L ↓
Free Androgen Index (FAI): 29.5 — Reference: 35.0–92.6 ↓
FSH: 3.0 IU/L — Reference: 1.5–12.4 IU/L
LH: 3.0 IU/L — Reference: 1.7–8.6 IU/L
LH/FSH Ratio: 1.0 — Male reference: not established
Prolactin: 121 mIU/L — Reference: 86–324 mIU/L
Estradiol: 52.6 pmol/L — Reference: 41.4–159 pmol/L
Estradiol: 14.4 pg/mL — Reference: 11.3–43.2 pg/mL

My free and total testosterone are very low. It’s very difficult to get an appointment of an endocrinologist where I live, the waiting time is 3-4 months. What is going on with my hormones? Did anyone experienced something like this? And how did you fix it?

Low total and free testosterone

Hi. I have been trying to lose weight by being in a calorie deficit for about 4 months now. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Since the last 3 months, I was feeling tired, fatigued and was experiencing low libido so I got my testosterone checked. It turns out, it’s quite low. Last time I got it checked back in February, it was more than double of what it is now. What can I do to push it to normal range? Can I do something on my behalf or visiting an endocrinologist is the only option?

Feeling low motivation, fatigue and zero drive lately, what’s going on?

Hey guys,

I’m 31M and I’ve been dealing with something a bit weird lately, so I wanted to get some honest outside opinions.

Lately I’ve been feeling very low on motivation and mental drive. It’s not like sadness or depression exactly, it’s more like a flat, low-energy state where nothing really excites me or pushes me internally.

Some context about my lifestyle:

• I go to the gym around 2-3 times a week

• I’m currently in a fat loss / cutting phase (trying to go from 82 kg to 72 kg down while keeping muscle)

• Sleep is “okay”, around 6 – 7 hours, but not always perfect due to routine/stress

• I also have a history of low energy / fatigue phases even when I was training consistently

• Lately I’ve also noticed low “drive” in general, not just gym, but work and daily life too

• Libido and overall “spark” also feel lower than usual most of the times

• I get the high libido, high energy days (1-2 days) every month, during which I feel highly energetic, but they it dies out.

• My morning erections are also inconsistent.

The confusing part is that I’m still doing the basics:

training, eating clean, staying disciplined… but internally it feels like something is switched off.

It almost feels like:

my body is running, but my mind has no enthusiasm behind it

I’m not sure if this is:

• overtraining / under-recovery

• calorie deficit / diet related

• hormone related (testosterone / thyroid / etc.)

• stress / burnout

• or something else entirely

So I wanted to ask people here who might have gone through something similar:

• Have you ever experienced this “flat motivation / low drive” phase?

• What was the actual cause in your case?

• What helped you fix it? Rest, diet change, lifestyle change, medical check?

I’m open to blunt answers, even if it’s something I’m missing or doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.
