Under Armor is doing a surplus sale this weekend (where the profits go to Project Rampart btw) and boy what an experience. It started at 4pm today and I got there at 5:30.
Shirts were $10, shorts were $10, pants might have been $15-20 (I don’t remember), shoes were $30, cleats might have been $35, “light outerwear” which I assume is sweatshirts/fleeces/quarter zips were $35 and “heavy outerwear” was $50. Kids sizes were a few bucks cheaper across the board.
By 5:30, nearly every single shoe was off the rack and half of them were out of the boxes thrown around. People were hoarding hundreds of dollars of discounted stuff just plopped all in the middle blocking paths. The line snaked at least 6-7 (fuck me oops) times east-west in the warehouse before you got to the real checkout area. There legitimately might have been 1500+ people in there with the line being 600+ people easily. Literally people everywhere and the line snaked through pretty much every single aisle. You could get shoes, get in line, and then hit almost every single other part of the sale.
At the end, they have Sagamore and a few beers for sale because lord you will need them to chill out. Super overwhelming, crazy, and a free-for-all for everything.
I didn’t get anything because of the line and it didn’t look like it was moving. It looked like they had 10-15 checkouts so it seemed to be moving, but I wasn’t gonna stand in line for an hour for a pair of shoes and a shirt. Maybe I go tomorrow morning and see what they re-stocked.
Schedule is I think 10-7 Friday - Sunday (double check, I’m not 100% sure)
Anyone else go? How was your experience?
Might be just me, but the Ultra looks like a bad deal, and Deluxe absolutely looks like the move, and even more so if you don't play MyTeam.
So 4 pro passes (including 3 months where player retention is by far the lowest), 35k VC, and a hoodie for an extra $50? Yes, there are tons of MyTeam stuff, but man that is terrible value if you are a Career/Park player.
Am I missing something?
Additionally, if you are looking for value and if you have $150 in the budget, you can get the following:

Ravens officially announced this year's new PSL Owner gift in an email sent to PSLs yesterday, a black and purple varsity jacket.
Things to Know/Action Needed to Take to Redeem
I personally think this is a huge W and I am a fan of the jacket. Even if you aren't, it's nice to see them take a big step in terms of gifts like other teams. Before last year, it was just a yearbook and magnet.
Was doing some thinking and what do you think is Lamar's best ever game? Few examples that came to mind for me.
2019 Rams was a Jackson 5 and a fun game in general (one I recommend when people say what should I watch...great uniform matchup fwiw as well), but stats it was a bit meh compared to these + a few throws were checkdowns with Ingram/Sneed making great plays after catch.
2 HIOs in one round. He will chase that high for the rest of his life.
Pros
Cons
I see so many people say things like "oh you can easily walk from Fells to the Canton Merritt" or "the walk from Locust Point to the stadiums isn't bad!" Genuinely, what are you people talking about? Call me crazy, but when someone says something is "walkable", I tend to think 15 mins/ .7 miles absolute max. Yeah, if it's a nice day and I have nothing going on, once in a blue moon I'd be down for a long 20+ minute walk somewhere and back, but I tend to think "walkable" as something within the neighborhood, maybe 1 or 2 over.
I saw someone say something the other day about Pigtown to Power Plant is doable for a visitor (over 2 miles btw). Am I insane to think that's insane, especially for someone visiting and unfamiliar with the area?
What do you consider "walkable" vs a once-in-a-while walk?
Hi all,
Due to small lifestyle and spending habits changing + the way the calendar and paydays fall, I found myself with exactly 10k in my checking account. I always said that 10k would do quite a bit for me financially, and now that is exactly what I have in my account.
Personal Stats
In my head, the obvious move would be to eliminate all of the debt I have for the month, as I do every month. So pay rent, pay the cards this month, and finish off the tickets. That should leave me with around $4k left of the original 10k. Should I just pay the car off in full? Should I pay for half of the car and leave the other in savings? Should I spend a bit on myself for new golf clubs and save the rest?
Paying off the car is what I want to do, but I am worried as it leaves me with pretty much $0 left until May 15/May 31 when I get paid again. It does, however, open up almost 300 bucks per month after that.
Disclaimer: Reminder that Tier lists are supposed to be like Bell Curves. Tough decisions have to be made. As the saying goes "If everybody is super, no one will be". Criteria is mostly on Home/Away jerseys with alternates providing smaller bumps.
Steve generally is pretty great at his WR opinion. Notably, he had Nabors ahead of Marv, had Kupp as one of his best WRs in that draft, and had Zay at 1 over JSN (miss, but Zay is probably the 2nd best receiver in that class).
"Best Pick" would easily be Burks to Indy at 254. Biggest reach might just be the Ravens with Lane at 80, or the Jets with Cooper in the first. Time will tell, but interesting that ended up guys lower on Steve's list while Cleveland and Yinzerville got other big name WRs early.
