I'm an agriculture graduate from India with a Master's in Horticulture (Vegetable Science). I graduated first in my university and received the University Gold Medal.

I'm currently working as a Research Fellow at an international agricultural research institute, where I'm involved in vegetable research, particularly in crop improvement, stress tolerance, grafting, phenotyping, and protected cultivation.

I also have research publications and hands-on experience with field and controlled-environment experiments. Additionally, I'm open to relevant internship opportunities that would allow me to further develop my research skills and contribute to horticultural and agricultural research.

I'm currently exploring fully funded MS/PhD opportunities abroad, preferably in areas such as:

Vegetable Science Plant Breeding Genetics & Crop Improvement. Stress Physiology. Protected/Controlled-Environment Agriculture. Greenhouse Horticulture.

I'm open to opportunities in different countries and interdisciplinary research areas where my background could be a good fit.

I don’t know where else to say this, so I’m posting anonymously.

I’m 26, gay, and have a Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences. I’m currently trying to build a career abroad and have been applying for jobs, internships, entry-level positions - honestly, at this point, I’d even be willing to start with an internship just to get my foot in the door.

But almost every application ends in silence. No response. No rejection. Nothing.

I don’t have a single meaningful connection abroad who can guide me or even tell me where I’m going wrong. I’m trying to figure everything out completely on my own, while also dealing with insomnia and the constant pressure of wondering whether I’m wasting my time.

Being gay makes things feel even more complicated. I want to build a career and a life somewhere where I can feel accepted and actually see a future for myself.

I’ve kept trying because I genuinely want to make something of myself. But lately, trying to do everything alone has become so overwhelming that I sometimes feel suicidal. That honestly scares me, and I know I need some help.

I’m not posting this for sympathy. I could genuinely use some help - advice, a connection, a direction, or even just hearing from someone who has been through something similar.

If you work abroad, have moved abroad for your career, or have experience in agriculture, research, or related fields, I’d really appreciate hearing how you got your first opportunity.

I honestly don’t know what my next step should be.

My derm prescribed this powerhouse trio for my severe acne. It’s definitely reduced the breakouts, but I'm still getting new ones—even after cutting out dairy, sugar, and fried foods. 😩

Current routine: Sebonia Serum (Niacinamide + Zinc), AcMist Cream (moisturizer), and Triclear-N Gel (Nadifloxacin + Adapalene) for active spots.

For anyone who’s been through this: what else helped you finally clear up the stubborn ones? I’m desperate to get rid of these for good! 🙏
