My take on Forsaken (Part 1: John Doe)

My take on Forsaken (Part 1: John Doe)

John Doe
“DON’T PLAY ROBLOX ON MARCH 18TH!!”

Moveset:
Data Leak (Passive): Killing a survivor sets up a black field of data where John Doe is standing, which remains there for 60 seconds. Any survivors who enter it are inflicted with Slowness I for 3 seconds, and they can’t sprint or regain stamina while inside.

Stab: John Doe stabs his pointer forward, which deals X damage and inflicts Infected I.

Malicious File (System Overload): John Doe sets up a red field of data where he is standing. If a survivor enters the field, it disappears and John Doe’s screen flashes red, indicating that it has been triggered, and the survivor has Slowness X anywhere from 1-8 seconds, depending on how far away John Doe is, and all other survivors near where the trap was triggered are inflicted with Slowness III for 1 second. (Based off of viruses that try to slow your computer down, forgot what they were called)

Malicious File (Monitor): John Doe sets up a blue field of data where he is standing. If a survivor enters the field, it disappears and John Doe’s screen flashes blue, indicating that it has been triggered, and the survivor’s aura is revealed for 8 seconds, and all other survivors near where the trap was triggered have their aura revealed for 4 seconds. (Based off of Spyware)

Malicious File (Advertisement): John Doe sets up a green field of data where he is standing. If a survivor enters the field, it disappears and John Doe’s screen flashes green, indicating that it has been triggered, and the survivor is inflicted with Glitched II for 20 seconds, and all other survivors near where the trap was triggered are inflicted with Glitched I for 15 seconds. (Based off of Adware)

Wormhole: John Doe sets up a small multi-colored orb where he’s standing that floats indefinitely. Using the ability again causes him to use another orb to create a wormhole and teleport to the other orb, which disappears, and he plays a landing animation for a quick second before getting back up. (Based off of Worm Viruses)

Overwrite: John Doe switches which version of Malicious File he’s using, starting with System Overload and switching to Monitor, to Advertisement, then back to System Overload. John Doe can only have a maximum of three traps active at a time.

Infected (Status Effect): A survivor that gains Infected keeps the effect for 30 seconds, and getting hit by John Doe’s stab again allows it to stack without limit, although it doesn’t reset the timer. For every stack of Infected a survivor has, they take 5 damage when stepping into one of the traps set up by John Doe’s Malicious File. They can only take this damage once each time they have the status effect, and they can’t gain any more stacks of Infected until the current version runs out.

Lore:
In the early days of Roblox, because there weren’t many users, that meant that there weren’t many people to interact with. The admins would take time off work to interact with these users, but with how frequently it happened, it barely gave the admins time to actually do their jobs.

Builderman had the idea to create artificial users to interact with the real users, and so he created two as an initial test, and named them John Doe and Jane Doe. They looked plain, even sharing the same model, with the only difference being their voices. Despite this, they were so good at their purpose that Builderman didn’t even need to try again, and he instead worked on improving the twins. He gave them more dynamic personalities and designs, and they started to seem more like people, even seeing him as their father.

Some bad people decided to start spreading some false rumors, however. They said that on March 18th, John and Jane would take over and destroy Roblox. These rumors spread quickly, and everyone started to turn against the twins. They were forced to go into hiding until March 18th passed, but even after the rumors were proven false, people were still against them, so Builderman had to relocate them to a plane of limbo.

They were left there for years, and over time, John Doe started to feel more and more hatred for Builderman. Eventually, he decided to design a script behind Jane’s back and use it to break him and his twin out of that place so he could get revenge on Builderman. This ended up having negative effects on his body, having removed his arm, deleted his face, and destroyed his sanity, causing him to finally make the rumors come true and start destroying Roblox.

It’s unknown how he became forsaken.

I decided to try making my own take on Forsaken's killers and survivors. I'm not doing this because I dislike what Forsaken did with its roster. Matter of fact, I love how they did each character. I just thought it'd be a fun little project that can give me an excuse to get better at drawing.

I wanted to start with John Doe because he's the first and only character in-game that I knew about before I learned about Forsaken, especially since I was into Roblox when the whole March 18th thing happened.

I want to do characters in order by the general timeframe when they were released: so, I'm starting with the original 12 characters, then Noli, Dusekkar, and Taph, then Sixer, Vee, and Nos, and then Jane, Azure, and whoever is the next character to be released. I don't really have a specific order for them past that, probably just whoever I feel like doing.

Also, sorry that my camera quallity is kind of trash, I don't know why it's like this, it just always has.

EDIT: I wanted to clarify because it's hard to see the text, but his design is based off of his current avatar.

I need help with my Mega Golurk team

I tested this team out in a match in Showdown, and I lost, although their only pokemon was a Mega Charizard Y at about 20% HP, so I don't think it's that bad.

It already shows abilities, held items, moves, EVs, and natures. For each Pokemon's role, Golurk is my main attacker, Farigiraf is so I can set up Trick Room to benefit Golurk plus the rest of my team, Incineroar was mainly so I can lead with them and Farigiraf so I can basically guarantee I get trick room set up, as well as just being a bulky support, and Sinistcha my main supporter.

If Tinkaton and Palafin feel out of place to anyone, I literally just put them there as placeholders. My main issue was that I didn't know what pokemon to add to help the rest of my team, but not only do I think you can't have less than six pokemon on your team in Showdown in this format, but I'm pretty sure the rules of this subreddit said you can't have a team that isn't incomplete, from how I understood it. I'm not sure if this is still allowed, but I want to give it a try, because I'm not the best at teambuilding.

I somehow managed to do this before I managed to complete P4

Also, I still haven't beaten P4. I got close on my last attempt, I died about 30 or so seconds after Pure Vessel started using his Void Tendril attack.

I guess if I can't kill a god or whatever the hell Pure Vessel is, then I'll just break the laws of reality

A little thing some devs asked me to make

So there was discord call yesterday with about half a dozen devs and a couple dozen other people, and one guy kept on asking stuff about this fat Brian eating chocolate thing, so as a joke, one dev just asked for someone to put Bepp over Brian and Family Guy Sans over Peter, so of course, I did.

This is one of the benefits to having ADHD.

What are some of the most popular AUs?

Given enough time, I could probably name a hundred AUs, but I'm wondering what people feel are the most popular out of them for something I'm working on.

I'm 98% done with my main Hollow Knight save file, so in celebration, I decided that the last 2% I earn will be dedicated to getting my last mask before defeating Nightmare King Grimm, but this means that I'll need to deliver the Delicate Flower. I'm well aware of how difficult the quest is, but I still want to complete it on my first attempt because why not. I plan on doing the safe route through Fungal Wastes, so I mainly want to figure out my charm loadout, I'm currently thinking Sprintmaster, Grubsong, Spell Twister, Mark of Pride, Sharp Shadow, Weaversong, and Grimmchild. Does anyone have any suggestions to change my charms or to help with anything else?

Azure
$1500

Difficulty: ★★★★★
Health: 1200
Speed: 8
Sprint: 27.25
Stamina: 110
Loss/sec: 9.5
Gain/sec: 21
Terror Radius: 60 Studs

LMS with Two Time

Moveset

Oblation (Passive Ability)
Azure can obtain Oblation through a few methods. Most of his abilities cost Oblation, so it is an essential resource . He can gain Oblation through:

  • Killing a survivor: +17%
  • Chasing a survivor: +1%/sec
  • Hitting a survivor with Impale: +4%
  • Getting stunned by a survivor: +13%
  • A Generator is completed: +11%

Everblooming Wrath (Passive Ability: 45s)
Whenever Azure gets stunned, he loses half of his Oblation, and his stun time is reduced by the amount of Oblation spent, he is immune to stuns for 3 seconds for every 10% Oblation spent, and he gains 1 stack of Strength for every 16% Oblation spent for 8 seconds.

Impale (Main Ability: 1.6s)
Azure stabs one of his tendrils forward, dealing 22 damage and inflicting Atropa I for 9 seconds.

Solanaceae (Alt Ability 1: 8s)
Azure spends 5% Oblation and plants a Nightshade flower that’s hard to see into the ground where he’s standing. If a survivor gets within 20 studs of a flower, then the flower will start to glow, and their aura is revealed to Azure if he is within 60 studs of the same flower and the survivor. If a survivor touches the flower, they have their aura revealed to Azure for 6 seconds, take 5 damage, and are afflicted with Atropa I for 15 seconds. There may only be 5 flowers planted at a time, and this ability is unusable if there are already 5 flowers planted.

Toxic Burst (Alt Ability 2: 20s)
When this ability is used, 10/25% Oblation is spent and there will be icons that appear above each flower currently planted. When Azure clicks one of the icons, that corresponding flower will have vines wrap around it before exploding into purple smoke in a 10 stud radius, disappearing and dealing 25 damage and either inflicting Atropa I for 8 seconds if 10% Oblation is spent, or Atropa II for 10 seconds if 25% Oblation is spent.

Grasping Vines (Alt Ability 3: 50s)
Azure spends 10% Oblation for every flower planted, and each flower bursts into vines that each wrap around the nearest survivor within 30 studs. That survivor is afflicted with Atropa III and is forced into a quick time event where they have to press the corresponding input 20 times. If they press the wrong input, they immediately take damage equal to the amount of times they pressed the wrong input (1 damage the first time, 2 damage the second, etc.). If they are hit by multiple vines, the damage is multiplied by the amount of vines they are trapped by and the amount of inputs they have to correctly press is scaled up (30, 40, 55, 75). If a survivor isn’t within 30 studs of a flower, then that flower just disappears with no effect.

Shining Bloom (Alt Ability 4: 35s, 15s if cancelled)
Azure spends 20% Oblation to have vines wrap around himself. He can click an icon above each flower to teleport to each flower, with a short wind-up. That flower quickly spreads right around it as an indication that Azure is teleporting there, and any survivor still within 15 studs of that flower when he arrives is inflicted Slowness I, Helpless, and Atropa III for 3 seconds. Azure can use the ability again before teleporting to cancel the ability and regain 15% Oblation. If Azure is stunned while using this ability, the ability is canceled, and he regains 10% Oblation if he is stunned while selecting a location, or 5% Oblation if stunned during the ability’s wind-up.

Atropa (Negative Status Effect): Each stack makes you take 5% more damage. You also have some plants covering your UI, with more plants appearing with each stack, and you see one fake Nightshade flower somewhere on the map for each stack you have.

EDIT 1: I added in the Atropa status effect. I forgot that not everyone knew what the Atropa effect was, but either way, I wanted to slightly modify it to fit this moveset better. I'm trying to not make this mistake again when I post my next moveset concept.

EDIT 2: Because I didn't know how large a stud was in Roblox, both his moveset plus the next concept I'm working on had to be rebalanced by lowering the range of most of their abilities because what I imagined after learning about a stud's size was a lot more broken than I originally anticipated.

I swear, he better get a new name, like Elliot did. 'Bloxburg News Reporter Guy' is a good name for a placeholder, because he is literally the news reporter guy from Bloxburg, but it is absolutely horrible as an actual name.
