We've been through them all... The tough kongs, indestructible toys, teddy bears, rope toys, for rough dog toys... None of them last... Except the rope toys which they won't touch... My dogs love a toy with a squeaker in them, but they never last more than 10 minutes... Anyone got any suggestions? ( Pics of the troublemakers )

Okay so first of all, ADF or ACF ?? I have two of these... Bought them in the same place but one is acting strange... He's actively beaching himself. I've checked my parameters and they all seem fine, maybe a little ammonia ( not even really showing up on the test) but I'm going to do a water change anyway. The other one is fine. I promise his front feet are webbed you just can't see it in the pic
Is it normal that after eating, his abdomen didn't get big but he turned purple on the underside? Also I have no idea which Instar my mantis is, but I was told he's between 6-8 weeks old. He has little wings already. Can anyone tell me which Instar it might be?
I got my first mantis today ! His name is Manni. He's a giant African mantis. I took him out for the first time and the first thing he did was grab me with his massive front arms... He is my first insect and that was my first ever time holding an insect so we aren't off to a great start and now I'm a little scared of him... After holding him he started spitting some stuff out of his mouth ? I didn't see what colour it was but I think it was regurgitation... Anyone any tips for handling or care info? Pics of him ( I think it's a boy)
Okay so technically this is enclosure AND mantis advice. I'm planning on getting my first mantis sometime soon as I am fascinated by them ( although truth be told I do have a slight fear of insects crawling on me. I have no problem feeding them or anything, I just hate them touching me) so I was wondering, are there any kinds of mantis that do well in cooler climates? ( my house is insulated so can only drop as low as 21.5C but has gotten as high as 32C before ) And any mantises that tend to be friendlier than others ?? ( Like more tolerant and forgiving I guess ) And lastly, how would I set up an enclosure for such a mantis? Plastic, glass ? What goes in it ? Etc etc. I am researching I just want to be sure I'm going for the right one. I mostly want a display insect but if I need to take it out for whatever reason I want one that's hopefully going to be somewhat tolerant. Hope y'all understand what I mean 😭
So I set up my new tank and put in pre cycled water so everything was ready to add my fish but the sand is causing issues. I had used Google and apparently horticultural sand was fine to use in fish tanks as long as there were no pesticides or fertilizer, which is what we had on hand. So I washed some and put it in the bottom of my tank.after adding the water it went cloudy, as all water does when you put it in with the sand, so I added a second much larger filter to help settle the sand and it seemed to settle quite a bit so I put my fish in. This morning however, the sand hasn't settled and looks worse than it did yesterday. I think the sand may have been too fine and it won't settle with the filters. Would I be better off taking the fish out, along with a bucket of the dirty water, and then emptying the tank, changing the sand, re-filling it and putting the fish back in ? I have a couple of pre cycled tanks so I can use water from my other tanks to fill most of the water for this tank if I have to. So worried because it just looks AWFUL.
I have a half moon Betta fish, who is currently in a 20 litre tank. I've recently been given a 55 litre tank which I plan to move him into. He's friendly with other fish as he was in a tank with other fish when I got him and was unbothered by them. Was wondering what I could put in the new tank with him when it's all cycled ? Picture of his current tank ( the small one ) for advice on what I can change in the meantime while waiting for the new tank to cycle. He doesn't have a heater as the water is naturally sitting at optimal temperatures for him and I don't want him to overheat...

Hey y'all, back on about Henry again 🙄 my vet suggested last time he was at the vet, that I leave him outside so I set him up a nice little area of my garden for now ( he will eventually have the whole garden when it's finished being redone and some of his plants have grown a little more ) but he hasn't been active at all since he went out... Like he will sleep for almost the full day. It's not cold outside. Its quite dry, he has a big bowl of fresh water daily to drink and soak, I scatter mazuri, flowers and weeds around for him to find, as well as leave a pile on a slab for him to eat if he doesn't feel like foraging. He remains asleep all day every day until I actively wake him up and sit him in front of the slab, where he only eats a couple mazuri pellets ( and only the big kind. He has smaller mazuri too but doesn't like them as much but I offer both for variety ) and then goes back to sleep under one of the plants. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with him or why he's sleeping so much but surely it's not normal that an adult tortoise is sleeping so much. Nobody in my family ever sees him out during the day but he's not showing any signs of illness. No whistling, wheezing or gaping. Anyone know what might be up with him ?
Hey y'all new issue 😭 haven't seen my guy poop yet... Is that normal? He looks kinda bloated but he might just be a little fat. He did expel a kind of powdery white stuff though? I'm waiting to get more plants from my friend's established tank so it looks a little empty. All his parameters and temps are good. Maybe he's just pooping when I'm not looking. Also how is his tank looking ?
I have a 10 week old longhair dachshund. He's not my first dachshund ( he's my 4th) but he's my first where I've had this issue. He is INCREDIBLY stubborn. To the point where he barks at you until you give him something, and if I try to correct him/tell him no, he goes to bite you, or if you ignore him, he also tries to bite you. This is a habit I don't want to continue. It's actually hurting but yelping at him isn't stopping him from continuing to bite. He has also started to try and rip apart the couch when you don't give him what's on your plate. Any tips or advice for what I can do? I can't even bring him outside for a walk yet as he got his second vaccine this week but I have to wait a week to bring him outside.
Is there any way that some tortoises just have runny noses ??? I've brought my tortoise to the vet 3 times. Three very expensive rounds of antibiotics... And 3 weeks of back and forward between counties to get to my vet and home. But from the time I've got my tortoise, he has always seemed to have a runny nose. He lives outside, as per my vet's recommendation, but seemingly his runny nose has not improved. I can't afford to keep bringing him to the vet again and again. He's had antibiotics and antiinflammatories. All three times. Someone help me out here and let me know.
Is it normal that my Betta is like fixated on one side of the tank? Like he's pacing back and forward at that one side. If it's to do with reflection, is there any way I can fix that while waiting for the plants to grow in ? He's been swimming back and forward against that one side for the last 5 minutes but I don't think he's flaring.
