[RevShare] Looking for a Pixel Artist to join our 2D Indie Game – Revenue Share

Hey r/INAT!

We are a small indie game dev team looking for a passionate Pixel Artist to join us on a 2D indie game project. This is a revenue share (RevShare) collaboration, so we're looking for someone who is genuinely excited about the project and wants to grow together.

**About the Project:**

- Genre: 2D Action-Adventure / Platformer

- Engine: Godot

- Art Style: Pixel art (16x16 / 32x32 tiles), inspired by classic retro games with a modern twist

- Status: Early development / Pre-production

- Target Platforms: PC (Steam), possibly mobile

**What We Need:**

- Character sprites (idle, walk, run, attack, hurt, death animations)

- Enemy sprites and animations

- Environment tilesets (indoor + outdoor)

- UI icons and small visual effects

- Consistent art style throughout the game

**What We Offer:**

- Fair revenue share split (negotiable, discussed openly)

- Full creative credit in-game and on all platforms

- A fun, collaborative, and respectful team environment

- Regular communication via Discord

- Long-term partnership as the game grows

- Freedom to contribute creatively to the art direction

**What We're Looking For:**

- Someone with a portfolio showing pixel art work (characters + environments preferred)

- Animation experience in Aseprite or similar tools

- Consistent availability and good communication

- Passion for indie games and game development

- No experience level requirement – quality of work matters most

**About Me / The Team:**

I'm a student indie developer from India with experience in Godot. This project is a passion project that we want to take seriously and eventually release on Steam. We're building a solid vertical slice first before scaling up.

**How to Apply:**

Please DM me or comment below with:

  1. A link to your portfolio or some pixel art samples

  2. Your availability (hours per week)

  3. Any questions about the project

Let's build something awesome together! Looking forward to hearing from you.

[Hobby] I have a 2D game idea + team, but I suck at planning. Looking for someone to help with pipeline/management

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a 2D 2D pixel-art game as a hobby project, mainly for learning and portfolio.
The story is mostly ready, and I already have some people interested in helping (coders and pixel artists).

My main problem: I’m new to game development and really bad at planning the pipeline and explaining things technically.
I don’t have much experience with project management, so I’m worried I’m slowing the team down.

I’m looking for someone who’s okay with a hobby/revshare setup and can help with things like:

  • breaking the game idea into clear tasks and milestones
  • planning a simple production pipeline for a small 2D game
  • organizing communication between me, programmers, and artists
  • guiding me on basic docs (simple GDD, using Trello/Notion, etc.)

This is:

  • Hobby / unpaid upfront
  • Revshare if the game is released and makes any money (we’ll share revenue fairly based on contribution)Memory+1
  • Good for someone who wants experience as a producer/project manager on a small indie project

I handle the story, ideas, and overall vision, but I need a “planning / coordination” person who understands game dev enough to turn that into a roadmap the team can follow.Memory+1

If you’re interested or have advice on how to find this kind of person (which subreddit, what to include, etc.), please comment or DM me. Thanks!

I have a full 2D game idea + team, but I’m terrible at planning and explaining things… what should I do?

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a 2D game and I’ve actually got a solid story ready. I’ve also managed to find some people interested in helping — coders and pixel artists — so that part is going well.

The problem is… I’m really bad at planning the pipeline and explaining things clearly from a technical side.

I kind of know what I want in my head (game mechanics, feel, story flow), but when it comes to:

  • breaking it into tasks
  • organizing development steps
  • explaining features to programmers
  • or even making a proper game design document

…I just get stuck or end up confusing everyone.

I’m still pretty new to game development overall, so I feel like I’m slowing the team down.

What should I focus on improving first?
Are there any simple workflows, tools, or templates you recommend for beginners managing small teams?

Also, how do you communicate ideas clearly to devs/artists without sounding vague?

Any advice would really help. Thanks!

[REQUEST] Looking for an Artist to Draw a Sci-Fi Action Comic – "The Last Sense" (Free / Passion Project)

Hey r/ICanDrawThat!

I'm a writer with a sci-fi action adventure story called "The Last Sense" and I'm looking for an artist who'd like to bring it to life as a comic. This is 100% free — no budget, no deadlines, purely for the love of creating.

The story is set in a future where humanity has lost most of its senses to a mysterious signal from deep space. It's action-packed, cinematic, and character-driven — lots of dynamic fight scenes, expressive characters, and interesting environments to draw.

---

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

- Any art style — manga, western, indie, sketchy, anything goes

- No professional experience needed, just passion and consistency

- Comfortable working panel-by-panel from a script

- Open to back-and-forth creative discussion

---

WHAT YOU GET

- Full creative credit on every page

- Complete freedom on character design, environments, and panel layouts

- A finished comic for your portfolio

- A genuine collaborative partnership

---

THE PLAN

Start with a short pilot chapter (6–10 pages) to see if our styles click. If yes, we continue the full story together.

---

Drop a comment or DM me with some samples of your work (even rough sketches are fine!) and we'll talk.

Let's make something awesome. The Last Sense is waiting for its artist.
