Cinnamon hot chocolate vibes for autumn

Cinnamon hot chocolate vibes for autumn

Recently came to the realisation that all my current perfumes are summery/ fruit-forward. Looking for something gourmand but not necessarily sugary, not childish or overly mature/sexy. Does such a thing exist? 🙏 I'm also a fan of woody and incense fragrances that lean feminine without having overt floral or powder notes.

So close to the finish line........

(21F 5'6) 11 months ago I weighed on at 262lbs. Today, I woke up and found that I had lost 2lbs overnight to reach 178lbs. I was thrilled, as this is not a weight I ever believed that I would reach even six months ago. My first goal was 230lbs. Then, I thought if I could just get to 200lbs I would be happy to stop there. Yeah... No.

My goal weight is 170lbs, after which I plan to eat at a 300 calorie deficit while hitting the gym to try my hand at body recomposition. I would like to hit 160lbs eventually, but honestly being on a diet basically everyday has been exhausting and I'm happy to focus on muscle gains until the new year.

I've started opening up about my weight loss more to family and friends and it's funny to see how little they know about weight loss, and how confident they are to tell you that you're wrong despite never losing any big amount of weight themselves.

One thing that is bothering me though is that I am so impatient to get to the finish line. Because I've come so far, I keep skipping forward in my mind to already being at my goal of 170lbs. Then I realise that I have a minimum of a month before I'm actually there. It's maddening!!! And there's basically no way for me to hit my goal by the first of September which is making me feel less motivated as it would feel like a clean step into the next chapter.

I can't tell if I'm getting more hungry or just have less discipline. I find myself snacking in the afternoons and ending up with some stupid tiny dinner because I wasted all my calories by noon. If I was this fed up at any other point I would just take a break for a couple of days to eat at maintenance, but being so close to my goal makes the whole thing infuriating and I'm constantly thinking about food and the changes I'm going to make when I've finally hit my goal weight.

If I go through another period where my weight randomly plateaus for two weeks I'm going to throw my scale through a window.

If anyone has read this far I would love to know your experiences in how you made it over the diet finish line, and how you navigated changing your habits afterwards. Thanks!

NSV- ran today!!!!!

(5'7, 260lbs to 185lbs). My whole life I have been 'the fat kid'. In school I was dead last in every race, could only run for maybe 20 seconds while dying the whole time. Never made any progress with fitness, thought it was just a scam and it felt that bad for everyone. Lost 75lbs in the past nine months and decided on one of my walks that I would try a little jog. It was basically as slow as walking but I felt like I was FLYING. I was shocked after two minutes that I wasn't doubled over in pain. It was incredible, and I cried right there in the park. It turns out it isn't impossible for me, and for the first time it felt like I did have the potential to be just as capable and fit as anyone else.

Today I went to the gym for the first time in a while and decided to re-try couch to 5k (I'm not sure if they have this in the US, basically it's a free app that provides a nine week course until you can run 5km). I struggled a lot, especially near the end, but I got through it and was so proud of myself. After I finish I go back to the main menu and discover I had accidentally skipped to the third week of the course and was still able to complete it. The walk back home was awful lol but I'm still feeling super happy for myself.

So I guess this post is just to share my own victory since there's no one I can talk to about this, but also to remind people that any amount of weight loss is still a great improvement and help to your body. I still have a fair amount of weight to lose, and I NEVER thought I would be able to run until I got to a healthier weight.

huge sandwich omad, pic doesn't do it justice

(5'7, SW 250, CW 192) The sandwich was mozz and sundried tomato, and I also had a delicious iced chai because I don't get to go to this cafe much. The sandwich was really yummy! Each half was bigger than my palm. There were no calories on the menu so I'm hoping it's around 1400? If you're allowed to guesstimate in this sub I would really appreciate that haha

Lost 55lbs and feel fatter than ever

(F24 5'7) In September last year I was 250lbs. Today I woke up, stepped on the scale after two weeks of no loss and saw 195lbs. During those two weeks I felt miserable, so scared that I would start gaining weight again even though I was sticking to 1400 calories. And now that I've broken through it, I feel... fine? I don't feel good to compensate for feeling so bad yesterday which is a shame, but logically I know I should be proud of myself.

I know I'm smaller because my clothes are all really loose and look bad on me, but my body itself still looks just as big. I'm convinced that my upper arms are even bigger than before because the fat loss is making them sag. I don't know how much of this is mental, I think I maybe have unreasonable expectations because I haven't been under 200lbs since I was a child so I always thought of it as 'skinny'.

I wore leggings today in my new size today and I was so insecure about my shape I have to wear the loosest shirt I had to basically hang over me lol. I don't know if I'm looking for support or just to vent but if anyone here has any similar experiences or has been/ is the same weight as me I would love to hear how you dealt with everything.
