I really should get a Costco membership, they even do free (slow) EV charging
I think without the invasion, the Byzantines could’ve kept much of Anatolia and slowly reconquer the rest and push the Turks to Iraq and Iran. Instead the invasion led to the Byzantines pulling their forces back, and after they lost and the Latin Empire was created, the ERE spent so much just to take back what was taken from them by the Catholics that they had lost Anatolia to the Turks. Of course they went bankrupt and their military was weakened and the Ottomans took them over quite easily.
However I do think without the Catholic invasion, the ERE would’ve not only survived, they would’ve kept both Greece and Anatolia.
