Went to HTSB today, the arcade mall was super jammed packed.. here is what is in the main display cabinet. They don't have any of the Doomsday Avengers stuff yet.

Main display at the entrance - Spidey Brand New Day, DX Batman and Robin Mr. Freeze, Kamen Rider Black RX, Robo Rider, Bio Rider, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Obi-Wan, Predator Badlands.

Over at the Marvel section has a FF The Thing, not sure why they didn't display the other 3. Hopefully the Doomsday prototypes will be on display soon.

Went to the huge BIT CITY anime centre in Shenzhen yesterday.. just a stone's throw away from the HK border. They have a brand new Bandai gacha shop there, spanning 2 floors. There's many pop-up stores on each floor, lobby area now has a SEGA and Banpresto shop https://www.reddit.com/r/SEGA/s/tSrFVK4Oji

Machines outside entrance has tokusatsu stuff like Kamen Rider, Godzillaz Ultraman, Super Sentai, etc. Inside is a large mix of anime like Gundam, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, etc.

As good as the Bandai store is, if you head upstairs and go to New New Town, there is a place with 500+ gashapon machines, regularly updated with new releases. If you walk around the centre, you can find more gacha machines spread out in random places, but the Bandai on the 1st floor, and New New Town on 2nd are the main ones.

Saw a really cool SEGA pop-up store today at the massive anime centre at BIT-CITY in Shenzhen.. didn't know it was there, ran into by chance. They got a ton of merch, didn't check it all - but was tempted to buy some of the retro Sonic the Hedgehog posters.

Location: 2 stops from Hong Kong across the border, take the metro to Exhibition centre stop (exit A)

The SEGA pop-up store is on lobby level.. beside it there's also a brand new official Bandai gashapon store (2 floors) - if you're into gacha, head upstairs and go to New New Town - they have over 500 gashapon machines there, more than the Bandai shop. Beside the Sega pop-up, there's also another one, Bandai Namco selling 100s of plushies. This anime centre is absolutely huge, can find any anime merchandise there, also got cosplay and makeup studios there, etc. Can easily spend a few hours at Bit City.

PS anyone into Ultraman, there's a massive event happening over in Incubase arena, Mong Kok - they flew in all the props, costumes, etc.from Japan for the exhibition. Running until 13th September. ACG toy fair here in Hong Kong has just concluded, here are some photos of the brand new Rider figures by Hot Toys. There were some people dressed up in a few of the suits doing some promotional thing for the booth also, saw on IG.

This event was packed with tokusatsu stuff, a lot of booths selling Rider items, Sentai not so much, but a ton of Ultraman - also including cosplayers.

The 2026 Ani Com event here in Hong Kong has officially wrapped up, and it was pretty insane - many new figures from Marvel and Kamen Rider. Here is a quick review of all 5 days, and post-event.

I took these photos across 5 days - there was a large Doomsday countdown timer in the display area where all the other figures were. The highlight of the booth was the new Spider-man: Brand New Day figures; Spidey, Hulk, and Punisher.

The other stuff displayed inside the glass cases were mostly stuff we have seen before, except the Kamen Rider stuff. Saw on IG there was a Black RX cosplayer to promote the new line of figures.

Not sure what day those Doomsday figures were revealed, but I saw them on the final day. Spoke to one of the staff that was standing guard over the figures (they were not locked inside a display case, out in the open), and she said they can be pre-ordered the day after ACG ends at HTSB.

There was a little kid standing beside the Doomsday display who grabbed the Beast ptototype figure, the staff lady then shouted at him not to touch it. There were 2 women guarding all the figures there.

This year's shop was the same as last year, only a few boxes of figures for sale, and the rest were lame anime items, small stuff like shirts, stickers, etc. Not really worth lining up to get in, there was nothing to see inside. Other than the crappy shop they had, I'd like to say this year's booth was very good - way better than what we got last year. I still haven't been to Secret Base yet, not sure if those Doomsday prototypes are on display yet.

Threezero also returned, but nothing decent - was expecting to see new Power Ranger figures there, but they didn't have them displayed. But they did have a ton of Ultraman figures. I asked the staff at their booth how to buy the PR figures, and he told me they don't have a license to sell them in Hong Kong, China, Japan, etc. which I found super weird considering they had them displayed in previous years. He said I could only order them off their official website.

Overall, ACG was much bigger than last year, they expanded it to 3 floors - hall 1 was the main area, hall 3 was for manga, hall 5 was the cosplay area.

PS I watched the new Spiderman BND movie this afternoon, it was released today in HK. My friend watched got to watch it last night over in Macau - other regions such as mainland and Macau got it 1 day earlier than here.
It's a 2.5 hours long movie, less action than previous Spiderman films. I thought No Way Home was much better than BND, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Saw these really cool one sixth Kamen Rider figures the other day when I went to Shenzhen. They have a boat load of these.. some of these are still sealed in box, never opened, but really high price.

I remember back in early 2010s, CTMA used to sell these at their Toy Hunters store (first Hot Toys branch before expanding), and Superman toys. You don't see much of these anymore anywhere in HK nowadays.

This store has a mountain load of Kamen Rider stuff, and anime, video game-related toys.

I was in Shenzhen today, just across the border from Hong Kong.. went back to the massive Dimension no.9 arcade centre.

There is a new 55th anniversary Rider display on the ground floor where they hold some events.. not sure when the KR thing is being held, this display wasn't here when I went there a few weeks ago.

There's also a KR video game machine next to it - no idea how to play it, but I have seen them in other arcade centres in Shenzhen.. arcades there span several floors and absolutely huge. A lot of new pop-up shops and stalls on different floors now, again, wasn't there when I went last time.

PHOTOS: there is a big shop opposite the KR display that sells a lot of exclusive Rider stuff, they have apparel, toys, stationary, keychains, etc. The 6th and 9th photo of the blocky 3d keychains are really cool, they are randomly drawn inside blind packages (blind boxes). Photo 3, 4, 5 is all Rider stuff, rest of the items in the store are anime. This stuff is not available in HK, only for mainland market it seems.

Really too much stuff here to take photos of, best to go there yourself and check it out. Also, hit up BIT CITY located at convention and exhibition centre if you're there - there's a place with a several hundred gacha machines over there if you're into those. Dimension building also has tons of gashapon machines, and a official Bandai gacha shop. Basement floor has many claw machines and amusement centres for kids.

PS the massive ACG ANI-COM anime, cosplay, toy fair is on this Friday in HK if anyone is here. It runs for 5 days.. Bandai, Tamashi, Hot Toys, PlayStation, etc. will be there again, always a ton of tokusatsu toys there. Recommend going on Friday, Monday, or Tuesday.. avoid weekend, esp. Sunday - you will be in the queue for a few hours at least. I will post a thread for it after it's over.

Display case in front of the store has The Last of Us, John Wick, Pirates of the Caribbean, Badlands.. got a massive BND billboard as well.

I'm going to the ACG ANI-COM toy fair on Friday, will post a review of the event once it's over. Usually on first few days the Hot Toys booth is jam packed and lines stretches for ages, usually leave it to the last day or so to get get some snaps. Sentai, Rider, Ultra are all there.. the section doesn't seem to be able to hold much merchandise compared to few weeks ago with their older display, but still pretty neat. I wouldn't buy anything from TRU anyway, prices are insanely jacked.. SHF is like x2 price compared to what you can get them for out in the MK toy district, about a 25 min.walk from this mall.

This is the biggest TRU in HK, has seen a lot of refurbishments throughout the years, back in 2010 they expanded it, then few years later chopped it down in size, expanded it again - keeping it the same for a few years until the recent refurb. Their 2011 Super Hero section was a decent size.. a dedicated section for Sentai, and a area for Rider, and another for Ultraman.

Anyone in HK that wants some discounted figures, head over to HTRB at Harbour City.. they brought over a few figures from the other side of the store to their discounted section. There's a Attack of the Clones C3PO for only 790, cut down from 1499 HKD.. been sitting on the shelf for well over 1.5 years.. I remember seeing it there for quite a while. Dead stock. See last photo for the half price figures.

Was walking around, and found a vintage toy shop on the outskirts of SSP district. Non-busy area, this is about a 20 min.walk to the big toy area of Mong Kok.

This small shop has a lot of old stuff and some newer modern items, I'd say at least 50% vintage - a lot of old Star Wars, small figurines and loose figures inside glass cabinets. A ton of Kamen Rider, few Sentai, random anime lines, SH Figuarts, NECA, Predator, Terminator, one sixth scale, Gunpla, Hot Toys, etc. Even some retro gaming merchandise.. notice some of the stuff still has the Japan price stickers on them - seems like they were bought on sale in Japan and brought over to HK. The prices at the shop isn't super cheap, not super expensive.. somewhere in the middle. Loose figures in the glass cabinets are pricey. 1000s of boxes piled on top of each other, would take a while to check what they have. Recommend if you're after hard-to-find super old stuff. Worth a look if you're in the area..
