Who do you think this is? (Theories)

In episode 6, we get a few reveals from a brief shot of Lestat’s phone- first, that he has been calling Louis and has changed his contact name from, “Thomas Pitty is a Whore” shown in episode 5, to simply, “Lui” which is ‘Him’ in French. He has calls from ‘Toi’ aka Sophie aka Gabriella, and then one voicemail from Mary Rick (Merrick) who he has been corresponding with to set up the seance.

But who do you think the ‘Private’ number who has left voicemails could be? Has Lestat spoken with this person, or have they been ignored and have just left voicemails? Is it someone in the Talamasca? That’s what I maybe was thinking since Raglan reveals that they have been orchestrating the concert. But I’d love to hear any other theories fans have!

3 things you liked/3 things you disliked :)

I love IWTV, but I’ve found though that a lot of reactions to TVL I’ve come across have been I LOVE IT/change nothing to I HATE IT/change everything.

I’d love to talk to other fans who have more of a balanced view! So what are 3 things you liked or loved this season, and 3 things you disliked or hated?

Love-

1.) The performances! Standouts for me being Jacob/Sam/Delainey/Assad. I feel they gave performances that not even the toughest critic could find fault with- truly beautiful, mesmerizing and nuanced. Every time I watch, I find something new in their eyes or way they read a line. Sam was pushed to limits as an actor that he should feel very proud of.

  1. The music! I don’t know how many shows can realistically come up with an entire album and soundtrack with THIS many ear worms? I have been listening to Plastic fiends, when I Call out your Name, Your biggest Fan, the Loneliness, All fall down, and Brutal love every single day. They aren’t songs I like just because I care about these characters, they will likely be in my end of year round up from how much I play them.

  2. The portrayal of grief and specifically Jacob Anderson’s performance as Louis in his grief spiral. The writing and arc REALLY worked for me and was a highlight this season. I was captivated from the moment Louis takes his empty “vengeance,” lies to his partner and says he’s headed home, and instead drives to the diner where he can pretend Claudia is still alive. There were times I’d catch just a flash of someone I’ve loved and lost, their smile- or their eyes- and I’d be sent spinning in my grief for days.

Louis seeing a near replica of Claudia, being triggered and feeling he could be in control of it- and then losing that control and taking it to the level he did..painful in how human it felt. Grief twists you up in a way that the show really handled well😞

3 things I didn’t like-

1.) The Seance, I’ve tried to like it and it’s just not going to happen, it’s a misfire for me. The only part that I emotionally connected with was Claudia speaking about Madeleine, and I hope the circle being broken allows for the idea that she will eventually find her.

2.) Gabriella. I knew from the end of episode 1 that the direction seemed like it was going to be a problem for me, I gave it all 7 episodes annnnd- still feel the same. Sam did wonderful and it was heartbreaking seeing Lestat be abused and go through the arc of understanding that abuse. Jennifer did the best she could with the material she had imo.

For the first three episodes, I felt like I was watching a cartoon caricature with a bad Dracula accent. At one point I started writing a crack theory post that Gabriella had been bitten and turned by a Banshee to explain the characterization. Episode 4 FINALLY they gave Jennifer something to work with, insidious and evil level of abuse that triggered me badly, but the fever monologue was great. Ep 5-7 just OK. Nice to see Lestat confront her- but I have no interest in seeing any further development, and I think that’s a failure in my view.

3.) Pacing. What I would have done for another episode! I often felt like I was having to reach and fill in blanks for some character motivations and just think one more episode would have allowed some extra breathing room. Not much the show could really do though- AMC wasted money on trying to expand the universe prematurely versus focusing the budget on IWTV 😒

I just started watching S11…

I am up to the episode where Luke just tried to tell Gen that she was threatening him because she couldn’t face rejection after she said she would tell Joy. The sheets have not yet been revealed.

Is this top three contender for worst men on below deck??? I know we have a LONG list of awful men. But A.) is one of the oldest ? B.) used Gen as a fleshlight C.) has no guy code and allowed another grown man to sleep in his jizz sheets for days 4.) zero self awareness

I was crying tears of laughter when he was on the phone with his best friend, his mother and she said “you need to walk the talk and speak with both of them” (genuinely good advice mom!) and what he took from that phone call is, “I have a hard time forgiving myself.” DUDE??? You have too easy a time forgiving yourself 😭😭😭

Omg please tell me your opinions on him and if he is in your ranking for worst BD men or who you think tops him. Rob the ‘I love you’ in 7 days guy comes to mind.

Edit: apologies for not clarifying, ranking of top 3 worst BD men outside of the very serious sexual assault attempt/SA allegations/violence.

Delete for all- DM’s Q

I can’t find anything on this, apologies if it’s been answered. I saw many old threads about how even if you delete messages, the other person will still have them.

But I just went into a DM and there is an option that says ‘Delete for me/Delete for everyone’

So if you click delete for everyone- it erases it from the recipients inbox as well?

Confused on intent behind this line in Ep4

Pretty much what the title says- I am confused on the intent behind the racism of this line in episode 4. Hoping for a respectful conversation on this. I love the show, I love the characters, I don’t love this writing choice and want to discuss it.

Daniel refers to Louis, a black man, as a Louisiana bucket of fried chicken when he’s going off on Armand in the bowling alley. The exact quote, (with Daniel speaking mockingly as an iteration of Armand apologizing)

“It was my job to put you out of your misery. But hey, when a bucket of Louisiana fried chicken walks into the room and says, ‘stop!’ Well what can I say? I’m just a 500 year old pussy.’

The show further emphasized that Daniel is talking about Louis here because in the, “previously on the vampire Lestat’ montage- it highlights the moment Louis (burnt) steps out and tells Armand to stop in the 70’s.

Why did they do this, what purpose does it serve?

So Thomas Pitt-

Spoilers for S3 Episode 2 of TVL.

I just rewatched S3 Ep2 today and question: are we meant to understand that 'Thomas Pitt' aka Louis was the one on the phone with Christine the entire time orchestrating everything?

We first hear Christine leave the tour bus in the beginning of the episode negotiating on the phone, "Your client failed to back up security promises of protecting those like my client." Then the strip club scene, "You have to do a sit-down with Thomas Pitt and lawyer tomorrow. He's the owner of the hotel you defiled in Detroit. His lawyer says he's a fan and would appreciate an exclusive fan experience."

Cut to the lawyer scene. Christine says they could have done the meeting over the phone, and Lemuel says "According to Mr. Pitt, your client is the one who called this meeting," so Lemuel walked in knowing nothing about the fan experience request he allegedly told Christine about, right?

The implications of this are just very funny if Louis was acting as his own lawyer on the phone to ensure a face-to face with Lestat, but then also telling his FWB and actual lawyer that it was the other way around to ensure he is there representing him/present for Lestat to notice.

Diabolical Louis <3

Price cheaper in app?

Has anyone encountered this before? I went for breakfast this morning and planned out exact change/cash using the app to pay. I ordered a grilled egg white + hash browns. the grilled egg white just the sandwich is listed as $4.65 in app, but it was $4.99 at the restaurant in the drive through.

Wondering if it’s meant to be $4.99 or $4.65 or if there are other app/store discrepancies now 🤔
