For profit prisons make no sense. Why do we want companies in our counties and states that are incentivized to get more people in prisons? Lobbying for a police surveillance state, longer sentences, stricter enforcement policies, anything to fill their cages with our neighbors so we(the tax payers) can fill their pockets. Anyone driving out there this Thursday can organize rides here.

🌿Come by bus while the light rail is down (Fort Snelling stop on the blue line) or park for free in one of the metro Park & Ride lots nearby. People usually gather across from the main entrance of the building, which is the corner of 100 Federal Drive.

🌿Make sure to bring water, hats, loose clothes, maybe an umbrella - there's not much shade here. We usually have snacks, electrolyte packets, sunscreen, water, and more.

🗽 Sunrise Twin Cities is partnering with Singing Resistance, PACAT, and MN 50501 (with support from Big Animal Productions) for a BIG action/march.

📆 Saturday, July 4th at 9:30am at Chute Square in Minneapolis. You can participate as a marcher, singer, or pallbearer. The march will be 1.8 miles and end by 12pm.
