Temporary monitor mount and monitor mount mounting

I got this steel shelf and wanted to move my pc to it, I didn't have a monitor mount at the time and did this. Longer Wrenches may have been better choices but this worked ok. Then I got a monitor mount and wanted it clamped on the shelf, I got some leftover wood planks so the clamp has more stuff to hold onto. Sorry for the potato quality on the last pic, it was taken from a video I sent to a group chat.

One year of the free Walkman

A year ago I got this NW-A36 Walkman from a Japanese items surplus shop for free, the shopkeeper wasn't confident it'd turn on again and just let me have it. I got an OEM cable for it and it turned on, it had some HiRes and AAC albums on it, some I've moved to my pc to make room for my music. I then got it Walkman One, Wampy and a pair of KZ EDC Lites (because I didn't have much of a budget at the time), it's been my daily carry to this day, almost with me everywhere I go. The screen damage has seemingly "healed" (though something similar appears if enough pressure is put on the screen, but it still subsides), it's not very responsive to touch and at the same time has ghost touch, has a worn out aux port and restarts itself when I move about 15 songs to a playlist, but those aren't much of an issue to me given how I got it. To another year.

A year in with the EDX Lites

The cheapest possible option from when I got my Walkman working, a year in and still going strong.

Gigi and maybe Liz in the studio probably

When CC mentioned how GG kept spamming Hai Yorokonde Penis video during their recording in the Justice gnome collabe, this image popped up in my mind and I just could not let it crumble to dust.

Jmack Salar(?) story

Was reading something on my second monitor until I noticed the Jmack talking in a more natural way, paid attention and recorded. This isn't the whole thing, I'm not sure if there was more at the beginning but it ended where he mentions 1 out of 2 cars are gone, I'm not sure if I'm hearing correctly but I can hear the car mentioned being a Salar, which I assume is an SLR, not sure who the person he's talking about is though. I googled about this but nothing comes up, I was hoping someone here would know about this story the Jmack is talking about.

Race day speed race felt more emotional and fulfilling than the Nate Denver race

I wouldn't say I'm content of the game, I still want to play more of it, it's just that, this race felt like the satisfying end of a story where the main character proves themselves to be better than everyone. The music matching with the race progress and this being my last recorded race on this save file before it corrupted makes it feel more so.

Left EB2S bud does not want to stay in my ear

After about 2 weeks of use, I found that the combo I like with my NiceHCK EB2S Pro is the silicone ring inside with full foams on the outside. It's been comfortable and secure, up until recently. The right bud is very much secure despite any movements, though the left bud is only secure if I stay very still. If I were to walk, it would nudge itself a noticeable amount, and especially so if I move my mouth whenever I speak or eat, it just jumps out after a few full mouth openings. Is there anything I could do to get even just a little more security?

Never let me near an iron and a bottle of superglue again

I last posted about repairing the QDC connectors of my GK Kuntens about 2-3 months ago, and while that was successful, the connectors were getting loose, wobbling and all. So I decided to replace the connectors, bought a pair online for about 2USD.

I scratched the IEMs a bit trying to get the parts where the faceplate is glued to the shell, I got the faceplates off and I got to see how permanent my initial repair was. The epoxy was rather soft, so it was quick to remove, it covered the part where the wires are soldered to the connectors, but since it was soft and quick to remove, I got the epoxy out without damaging the wire.

Soldering was where I had the most trouble with, I've tried it before but I'm still really inexperienced. I'd have trouble with the solder not sticking, the wire getting cut because of me not having anything to hold them properly and hitting parts of the shell which slightly melted but not so much they've lost their shape.

The connectors I ordered weren't the exact shape the Kuntens had, so I had to hack away at it and just superglued it on, adding more once I pressed the faceplates onto the shell. As for the faceplate, I added superglue on the shell where it meets the faceplate, then some outside for good measure, I said might as well since the outside was already scratched up from mishaps with the iron and my tweezers.

Also also, you'll notice that in the picture with the singular Kunten, the wire isn't what it came with, that's because the original wire got shorter the more I failed, so I just took some wire from my father's scrap box (it was probably used for our home theater but it was pretty thin so it fit) and soldered it on, which worked, something I was half and half surprised and not surprised about.

This attempt at a repair is more permanent than my last one, which means more work if I do something with it again, but it works just as well as before the connectors cracked, though the new connectors are pretty solid, so I may have no need to do that, I'll just have to get over how rough it looks. If given to someone with experienced ears, they might notice a difference with the one with a different wire, but I enjoy them just the same.

I can say that my pair of Kuntens are the most beat up in this sub, but not because of use reasons. In my last post I said "If I take care of these, I know they'll do the same for me", and at the state they're at, one could say they are not taken care of. But one could say I refuse to let them die, and now I say that if I refuse to let them die, maybe they'll refuse to let me die when it's my turn to get broken.
