Since crunchyroll the platform itself doesn't have the capability to self-restrict what can kids watch without showing the titles, i use amazon prime video instead. I noticed the ratings are all over the place. Konsuba is 16+ for violence, same as chainsaw man even though it has 0 violence (I would argue frieren is like way more violent and gory than konosuba but that is 13+, but significantly tame compared to smth like chainsaw man or jjk). Are these ratings decided on a whim? And then dandadan is 18+ for all episodes, but chainsaw man is 16+ for all episodes with one 13+ episode as well, what the hell is going on? Dandadan i heard is a romcom is it? or smth worse like gore and whatnot (is it worse than frieren or even chainsaw man?). I don't want to let my kid watch gore at this age, fanservice is fine since he already watched one piece and fairy tail, whatnot.

I have never seen a show being rated 15 on account of football violence? like wtf. It is pg in australia, NZ, tv-14 in US but thats for language, 6 in germany, i can go on. I think the BBFC needs to grow some balls to be honest.

Bro's has no break with all the lust for ladies and whatnot after being reborn. But i appreciate the anime in general (apart from rudy being rudy) with the writing and story telling. At least he is learning the consequences of his actions. What do you guys think about this show?

I watched the first season, no one get raped or smth, is there is smth like that in season 2? Or crunchyroll is overblown.

Note: I am from australia, i used a vpn to connect to US to see the rating. I thought we blokes are similar to the americans when it came to violence in media, or no? Are the americans more densistized to violence (In other genre like foreign films, even animated mediums like anime, i see examples being rated M here in australia but 18+ in the US, like they are way harsh on foreign mediums, why so). I watched some of hannibal, it was grosteque for me, especially the violin scene, which is why i kinda stopped watching it lol. But i liked the show tbf.

I wonder how brutally violent shows like , jjk and eminence in shadow and this are only tv-14 on disney plus while romcom like dandadan is tv-ma instead of tv-14, it barely has any gorey violence unlike jjk, hells paradise and eminence in shadow, like wth man. I watched the season 1, while the sex scenes were there for character development, i think whoever gives these ratings at disney was drunk.
