South Korean media has released CCTV footage of a stranger breaking into the house of a woman in her 60s in Tongyeong-si, murdering her, and then leaving. He is currently wanted, with a reward of $68,000.

The murder of a woman in her 60s in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, took place on the 50th, but the police have not yet identified even the suspect. Concerns are growing that it may remain a long-term unsolved case.
According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency on the 29th, the incident occurred early on June 10. A woman in her 60s was found dead by her family after being stabbed to death in the neck in her home.
Police estimated that the suspect approached the house around midnight and stayed for about two hours, then committed the crime at 2 a.m. and immediately fled to the hill behind him. CCTV footage of the crime showed part of the crime, but it was not possible to confirm the face or body characteristics because the suspect thoroughly hid his identity with a hat, mask, and gloves, and held a weapon in his hand.
The biggest reason for the difficulty of the investigation is the topographical characteristics of the incident site. It is a remote rural house at the end of the village, and the back is directly connected to the hill. The police secured and analyzed 140 to 150 CCTVs around them, but it is difficult to find out the path of the suspect's movement before and after the crime because it is night time and is surrounded by mountains and farmland.
The police are continuing their investigation by setting up a team of 41 people, including 21 detectives from Tongyeong Police Station and 20 from Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Unit. Not only those around the victim, but also those who traveled to and from the area on the day of the incident, communication records, and CCTV footage are extensively analyzed. However, no conclusive clue has been obtained to identify the suspect yet.
The motive for the crime is also still in the fog. So far, no traces of the disappearance of money have been confirmed, raising the possibility that it is not just a robbery and murder. Police confirmed the suspect carrying a bag from the victim's house after the crime, but could not figure out what was in the bag. It is reported that no singularity was found in the insurance subscription history to suspect the motive of the crime.
The police recently decided to pay up to 100 million won in reporting compensation to citizens who provide decisive clues to the arrest of the criminal, and also released a video of the suspect on CCTV to secure reports. Some reports have been received and are being checked, but no information has yet been released that could be a clue to solving the case.
Slumdog Millionaire is innocent.
I reckon the film received some criticism by Indian audiences, and also winning over There Will be Blood and No Country for Old Men was quite questionable, but I still think it doesn't deserved to be called one of the worst best picture winners.
I think The Artist or Chariots of Fire are more fitting.
People in Japan don't seem to be panicking at all during today's 7.1 magnitude earthquake
I'm interested by the main casts rather than the film itself
Like Wagner Moura AND Greta Lee? Damn that's an interesting combination.
Don't have much expectations on the film itself (probably as should) but I think I'm gonna check it out sorely for the casts.
I am very surprised by the fact that Papua New Guinea has a population of over 11M, since I have never met a person from this country on the internet. Have you?
As someone who is chronically online, I have met people from many countries around the world on the internet, even those from countries with small populations, like the Baltics, while also rarely meeting people (with all due respect) who seem to not have good access to the internet, like Libya or Turkmenistan.
However, as far as recalling my memories goes, I feel like I've never met a person from Papua New Guinea online. At first, I thought it was because they have a small population, but I discovered that more than 11M people are living there, which is definitely not a small number, even exceeding Portugal's population (10.4M) by a bit.
According to Google, Papua New Guinea is considered an underdeveloped country, which means, I can guess, their internet connection isn't very good.
Have you ever met a person from Papua New Guinea online?
I love it when a movie completely tanks at the box office but then gets a second chance when released digitally.
Some movies will eventually get the recognition it didn't initially receive
Indiewire initially gave Hope D+ at Cannes, now they dubbed it a "triumph" after watching the re-edited version.
Although this article wasn't written by David Ehrlich who gave 1.5 on Hope, this critic also watched the film at Cannes, disappointed at first, but is now very satisfied after watching the re-edited version.
So apparently re-editing does save films sometimes
Guadagnino challenges his fans' loyalty
Yeah I like him but not sure if I'll watch this, good luck if you are
KatieM7, one of the most devoted fans of Owl City who sadly disappeared
KatieM7 was a YouTuber who was active during the time when Owl City was famous worldwide.
She gained a lot of views just by making one kind of video: a music video based on Owl City's songs, using paper arts drawn by herself.
You can guess she truly was one of Owl City's biggest fans, since all 24 of her videos are about him.
Sadly, KatieM7 stopped uploading videos after posting the music video for Honey and the Bee for the last time 14 years ago.
I've visited her other social media accounts she linked on her profile, and it seems like she was active at least until 2019, judging by her Tumblr page, while she also posted a photo of the cover of Owl City's album on her Facebook page in 2022.
I decided to post this to thank and remember her legacy. All of her videos feel like a time capsule, as they were posted more than 10 years ago, indicating how much of a thing Owl City was back then.
Katie, I hope you're doing well wherever you are right now. Thanks for showing your love for Owl City and their music.
[Fully Lost] The lost and obscure South Korean dub of Jimmy Two Shoes
Well, obviously, the post for non-English dubs is likely to be more welcomed in their local lost media communities. In fact, I already posted it a few months ago on my local communities, and now I'm hoping for progress. But I thought it would be worth writing the post on this sub as well, since it's lost media in general, and maybe I could get some help from foreigners.
Jimmy Two Shoes is a Canadian cartoon aired from 2009 to 2011 on Teletoon and Disney XD, about an optimistic boy who fell into a town in hell and surprisingly adapted well, even making many friends there.
If you've been in the lost media community for long, I'm pretty sure you've already heard about this cartoon, since it was infamous for its lost pilot episode for several years until it was found last year.
So ever since Jimmy Two Shoes started airing in 2009, it has been aired in many foreign countries with dubbings in their own languages. In several European countries, they changed the title to Jimmy Cool, while it was also aired in Japan, Israel, and even some Middle Eastern countries.
So, my country is South Korea, and my mother tongue is obviously Korean. Not surprisingly, Jimmy Two Shoes was aired in South Korea through Cartoon Network Korea starting in 2011.
But really unfortunately, not a single episode or even a single clip of it was saved online, making the Korean dub of Jimmy Two Shoes lost media. And to add to the mystery, not even information about the dub, such as how many episodes they aired, whether there was any censorship, or which voice actors took part in which character, is currently available on Korean websites. There just aren't many sources that can be found as of now—no posters, no TV commercials, and not even any news articles.
(The link on the top of the post)
One internet user from South Korea managed to archive the advertisement for Jimmy Two Shoes, which was featured on the Cartoon Network Korea website. It includes the main poster, a short synopsis for the series, and small introductions for the main characters: Jimmy, Bezzy, Heloise, and Lucius Heinous the Seventh, although they didn’t mention about voice actors. According to the advertisement, the show first aired on June 7th, 2011, at 2 PM. This information was all I could find on this website.

I was wondering if they aired only one season or both seasons, but I luckily found this short advertisement for an episode in a news article. It is actually the synopsis for Beezy J. Genius, the second episode of A part of season 2. This means that both seasons were aired in a Korean dub.
I was really hoping to find information on the voice actors, but I could only find one confirmed piece of information on one character, Beezy, who is voiced by Lee Jang-won. He's a quite famous voice actor in South Korea who voiced characters such as Garfield and Olaf from Frozen..
But other than that, I sadly couldn't find any other sources about the voice actors.
https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/Daum_Tvpot
The last thing I'd like to mention is mere speculation, so take this with a grain of salt. The reason why I couldn't find a single clip of the Korean dub is that back in the early 2010s, YouTube wasn't a dominant video-sharing website in South Korea yet; but people used domestic websites instead.
There's a possibility that some clips from the Korean dub could have been uploaded at one point on Daum TV Pot. Daum TV Pot was very popular video sharing websites during the early 2010s, and due to the generous copyright system of the website, many clips from TV animations, both dubs and subtitles, were uploaded there. So, it's very possible that segments from the J2S Korean dub could have also circulated on Daum TV Pot at one point.
However, very unfortunately, Daum TV Pot was shut down in 2018, making almost every video that was uploaded on this website permanently lost, including the possible videos of the Jimmy Two Shoes dub.
I've encountered some people in local cartoon community who remember watching the dub of Jimmy Two Shoes back in the day, even into the mid-2010s. However, there's no confirmed information on how many times J2S was reaired until it was eventually taken down.
I really wish the Korean dubs of Jimmy Two Shoes would reemerge someday, maybe even just for a brief clip. Jimmy Two Shoes has been my favorite show for so long, and I'm really curious how the main characters, such as Jimmy, Beezy, and Heloise, would have sounded in my native language.
This dude really said "Fine, I'll do it myself."
No wonder how he's able to make movies every year
Fellas, I watched Hope...
Just watched it through a South Korean premiere screening. People here are really engaged in whether this film will succeed or not, since it's the most expensive Korean film ever made.
Well, I'm telling you, the first hour of this movie is genuinely one of the best first acts in any movie I've seen in my life. It was unbelievably intriguing; almost went to the state of trance.
The action and cinematography are absolutely the work of masters. The car chase and the action in the forest are freaking rips.
Regarding the CGI, which was criticized at Cannes, I have to admit the graphics of the monsters in the first half weren't the best; it felt like they didn't have enough time to make them look better. But it gets better during the second half, and I wasn't bothered by it that much. CGI wasn't the thing to criticize the film for me.
I feel like the ending of this film will be a bit controversial. Some will like it; some won't. It wasn't a conventional way to end a blockbuster movie, which I personally really liked.
So, this is the best thing I can say about this film without any spoilers. Hope was absolutely my shit. A 4.5-film without any hesitation. If you're looking forward to this, you definitely should. I can't wait to watch it again after the wide release.
Indian actors are built different cuz how can you be in this many movies
Huge respect for them, these guys truly love their job. Hollywood could never!
The way this film is beyond forgotten, that most people don't even recognize it exists is interesting.
The production of this film started in 2008, based on the novel with the same title, and it was initially reported that Johnny Depp would serve as the main actor. However, it was continuously delayed due to troubled production.
Apparently, this film was Julian Schnabel's passion project. He was selected as the director in 2011. Despite the troubled production, Schnabel insisted on bringing this film to life while also continuing his career, making and releasing *At Eternity's Gate* at the same time.
In 2023, filming finally began with an insanely stacked cast, including Oscar Isaac, Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, Franco Nero, Jason Momoa; even including Al Pacino, and Martin Scorsese, the latter also served as an executive producer.
The film was produced by many film companies. Four countries—Chile, Italy, UK, and USA—gave a hand in production. The budget was $25 million, which was a blockbuster budget for an arthouse film.
It was premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year, and, well, people didn't like it. Not only that, apparently, the screener was leaked online one month before it.
The film's wide release was shelved for several months after that. Honestly, it would have been considered miracle if any distributor was willing to buy it.
Luckily (I guess), Netflix bought the rights for it a few months ago. It was limitedly released in theaters in early June and uploaded worldwide on June 24.
Well, it seems like no one even knows or cares about this film at all since it still hasn't reached 10k views on LB, not to mention it tanked in ratings.
One might consider this film as another Megalopolis, but well, Megalopolis at least got some sort of negative attention after it went viral on social media, while this film is just dead on arrival.
Do I feel bad for Schnabel? Yeah, kinda. Did I watch the film? ...not really, just got interested on how things went wrong rather than the movie itself.
Just watched this at the film festival. You better not miss this when it gets wide release.
Unique, original, psychedelic, lavish and voluptuous. Schoenbrun is a both amazing storyteller and visualmaker. This kinds of films make me realize that originality in cinema is ain't dead yet.
Also, it's one of the best looking films I've seen in a while. So you better not miss it at theater.
Really glad I could caught this at festival cuz this kinds of films are not likely to get major release in my country 😞
