This tub struggled with fuzzy feet no matter how much i fanned I just couldn’t seem to get enough fae. Once they started pinning and I could see fuzzy feet I drilled some more holes and even after that it just seemed like I coulda used more fae. First time with jmf is this a characteristic? Ended up being 62 grams dried . Soaked for 24 hours and waiting for round 2 . Imo it was extremely fast colonizer but was a lil slower fruiting compared to some others .
Golden teacher 1st flush , 12q modified dub tub , boomer shroomer 3 lb grain bag & roughly 7 lbs North Spore Boomer Bag (manure substrate) . No casing . Let colonize after s2b for 7 days before introducing fruiting conditions.
I’ve used both but I prefer to brew my own as I feel like they are more “alive” , I could be completely wrong but I feel like I see better results I think from a good home brew , I still keep a lil recharge on hand incase I get in a bind and don’t have the time to brew my own. My recipe for lately has been Dechlorinated tap water with 1.5 cups worm castings/gal , I like to add 1 tablespoon per gallon of Dr earth 4-6-3 during veg and 3-9-4 in flower into the filter bag. I tie those on a stick and suspend about halfway deep in the bucket. I use bloom city kelp extract at 5ml/gal in veg and 8ml/gal in bloom, I add molasses at 1 tablespoon per gallon, bio ag ion 14 liquid form (silica/humic & fulvic acids) @ 20ml/gal This raises my ph up pretty high usually 8-9 so to combat this IF I HAVE THE TIME I like to use citric acid to ph down instead of normal phosphoric acid , I’ve read that phosphoric acid is hard on the microbes , the downside to using the citric acid is every 3-6 hours you’ll have to ph down to a 6 and within 3-6 hours it’ll rise back to a 7-7.2 , the microbes break the citric acid down and eats it so it acts as a ph down and a food source, so I like using it so long as I’m around the house for the 30ish hours I like to brew for . If I don’t have time I just use normal ph down . After it’s done brewing I take the filter bag out break the castings and dr earth down and divide it up evenly and top dress each plant with it, I then mix in Mykos WP @3tablespoons/5gal and I add about 1/2 a tablespoon of Yucca Extract , I like to add them last because the mykosWp isn’t fully water soluble and will just fall to bottom so before you fill your pitcher up you need to stir the tea really well to get all the sediment up, and I add the yucca last because it foams up really bad if you don’t. like it would literally be overfilling the bucket fast it only takes it a few seconds and you’ll have a mess on your hands ,. I don’t have any atm but I also like to add worm casting juice. I give a tea every 10-14 days typically 14 .
Gai green living soil 10% worm castings 15% pumice 8%PreActivatedBioChar. With Gai Green Amendments @ recommend amounts of 3tablespoons per gallon at transplants and 1 tablespoon per gal top dresses . Every 21-28 days
So far all 3 pucks I’ve pressed have done this. 2 7 gram and 1 3.5 gram puck . I figured it should be flat. 7 gram puck on 10 ton 3x5 plate , i have a pre press and trying “bottle tek” . I place puck in put it about a fingers width from the edge of the plates and close it down till I feel a bit of restriction. Let preheat 30 seconds and then I go to 1000 psi for 20-30 seconds and then go to 2000ish for the remainder of the 3.5 min . I’m wondering if I’m not closing down on my press enough during the heat up phase . I’m wondering if it shoulda been a lil more closed down on my pre heat . Any tips advice or tricks greatly appreciated. Never seen a press before much less owned and operated one . My dab came out really oily it’s almost impossible to collect using a dab tool unless I froze it lol but it smacks and taste and smells amazing. The bud is some leftover stuff from a October harvest that’s been in grove backs without any humidity packs ever since so I’m wondering if that’s the cause of the oiliness it’s definitely dryer then you’d want but I figured I’d practice with it a few times before I get into my fresher packs
So I have two separate 3 lb grain bags 1 north spore and 1 Boomer Shroomer , that are a few days away from S2B imo . I have 3 5lb Boomer Bags from Northspore . And I have 2 - 28 quart Monotubs . I originally planned to only spawn 1 grain bag at first . If I use 1 3 lb grain bag and 2 5lb substrates would that be to thick of a cake for that size mono tub? I figured if I only used 1 grain bag and 1 substrate would that be too much grain? Would the cake have issues retaining moisture as well? I’m completely noob and am in dire need of direction .
I have 3 jelly breaths and 3 sluricanes. I have my mind made up on the jellybreaths , im going to toss #3 jelly breath because it has long node spacing and started getting hungry a week ago where the others still are pushing through with no issues. Since I’m going to flower jellybreath #1 & #2 , I just figured I’d flower slurricanes #1 & #3 as they are all 4 the exact same height and they all appear to have the same watering and nutrient needs. I had planned to toss out # 2 slurricane as it was a solid 8” taller then the rest of the plants I plan to flower an has longer node spaceing, and it tends to dry out faster then the other 4 . But last night I figured I’d defoliate and lolipop just as practice and to my suprise 3 of the main branches are triploids ? My question is should I say screw an even canopy and flower this pheno solely on it being a triploid? Or should I stick to my original plan and flower the 4 that have tighter node spacing and all the same height?
Ps in this picture it’s hard to tell the height difference between them as I had already put clips on all the main tops in attempt to let the others catch up , but it was a minimum 8” taller. If I was only flowering 1 plant I would definitely pick it to flower as it’s been happy and growing fast , but since I’ll be taking 4 into flower I don’t want to end up with a plant hogging up all the room . Hope that made sense I suck at getting stuff from my mind onto paper.
So I thought I had my minds made up because I’m going to flower jelly breaths #2 & #1 because jelly breath #3 has really far node spacing and got hungry a week ago and has received the same exact nutrients as every other plant . so I automatically figured I’d flower sluricanes # 1& #3 as number 2 is a good bit taller and has farther node spacing. But I was practicing defoliating and lolipoping on #2 last night and to my surprise #2 has 3 main branches that are triploids. Should I say screw an even canopy and run the #2 all because it’s a triploid or stick to original plan and grow the 4 that all have similar growth patterns and water uptake the triploid plant has a higher water uptake so far. It’s hard to tell because in this picture it already has clips on most of the mains but it was a solid 6-8 “ taller before I put clips in .
