Question. Does your phone get overheated while doing deliveries?

Ok, so i have a Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. I need my phone plugged in for the GPS to work thru android auto. But I've noticed my phone gets Hot. Like concerningly hot if it's directly on the sun, doing the GPS, and having the spark app open and running. So I've been taking to putting it on a air vent phone mount and running the ac on it. Even when it was cold outside, I would still run the ac on it. And don't even get me started about not being able to run the heater for long! Ugh!

So I'm wondering. Is it just my phone that does that? Is there something else I should try? Tia!

AITAH for refusing to move after someone blocked me in at the gas pump?

I know the title is confusing, but I genuinely had no clue how to rephrase it better.

So let me set the scene. I'd just finished a long day doing walmart deliveries. I’m tired, sweaty, it’s east Texas during humid season so I feel like I’m being slow roasted alive, and all I wanted was to get gas so I’d be ready for another day of deliveries tomorrow.

The gas station has 12 pumps total, split into 3 sections of 4 pumps. I pull into pump #6. Theres a lady in front of me already at the pump ahead of mine. Behind me theres still enough room for traffic to move through the gas station. But about 50 feet behind my car is a retaining wall, then a sidewalk, then one of the busiest streets in my small town.

While I’m pumping gas, a small car (that has definitely lived a hard life) pulls up behind me. It’s packed with 3 young-ish ladies, probably around 22 or so. I’m 35F. They line up behind my pump like they’re waiting for me to leave. Ok, that's cool, I get it. No biggy.

Then they PARK.

Like… fully park the car, turn it off, get out, and go inside the store.

I finish pumping, get in my car, and realize I’m basically trapped because now they’re directly behind me. Meanwhile, the lady in front of me had already finished and left, and someone had immediately taken her spot because this gas station is chaos at all hours. Even before I had gotten into my car, this next dude was getting out of his at pump #7.

So I’m sitting there idling my car with the AC on, which I hate doing, and I think to myself, “You know what, self? Let’s go to the bathroom.” I am, after all, trying my utmost bestest to stay hydrated. And what happens when you stay hydrated? Nature calls. Duh...

So I go inside.

The 3 girls are at the register buying arm fulls of snacks. I head to the restroom in the back. They don't see me. By the time I come back out and look back over to the register, they’re already back in their car waiting on ~me~ now.

At this point I decide, “You know what, self? I could use a snack too. It's been a long day!”

So I grab a fountain drink, a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos, and then wander over to inspect the hot food options, tho they were slim pickings. I eventually commit to a corn dog. (A decision I would regret deeply later, but that’s unrelated.)

There’s only one cashier working, so I wait in line, check out, and head back outside.

Now, I’ll admit I wasn’t in a hurry. But I also wasn’t wandering around like I was on a relaxing target trip either. I just wasn’t operating on anyone else’s timeline.

By the time I got back outside, the girls had caused a whole backup thing trying to reverse out and get to another pump, except every other lane already had cars waiting behind them so they couldn’t move properly.

I got in my car, started it up, waited maybe another minute for the car in front of me to clear out, and then i was able to leave.

As I drove away, I could see the girls absolutely FUMING in my rearview mirror while I crunched on my Flaming Hot Cheetos and cranked up the tunes, all with the tiniest of smirks on my face.

AITAH? 😁

Edit to clarify: No, there wasn't room between the guy on pump #7 and the station next to him for me to pass between. I'm in an suv, and like half of the small, rural town I'm in has bigger vehicles like trucks.

As for the timing, it's not like I meandered in. Lol I literally went in to use the bathroom, grabbed snacks, and got back out. In total 3 people were at pump 7 while I was at pump 6. The second guy got there literally when I was finishing up and putting the nozzle back. So one more after him

Also, pump 7 was closest to the store entrance. They were able to pull in by way of that area between the pumps and the store.

What's your go to, easy but nutrient rich meal?

I've been working on my weight loss journey for a little over 2 years now. I've only lost 39 lbs so far. 306 down to 267 as of today. Honestly, Ive noticed it more in my clothing sizes then the number on the scale. I’ve gone from a size 24/26 down to a 16/18, which feels amazing. Apparently my jeans and dresses are way more supportive than my scale has ever been.

I did have a setback last June/July after a car accident that required surgery on my dominant hand, plus physical and occupational therapy. My weight loss stalled quite a bit. Thankfully I didn’t gain anything back, but mentally it definitely knocked me off track for a while.

Recently tho, I’ve finally climbed out of my own head and started focusing on things again. I haven’t added a workout routine yet, even though my doctors have cleared me. One step at a time… literally, since I’m currently focused on hitting 10k steps a day and pretending that counts as cardio. Thinking about adding some gentle stretches or yoga or something.

Right now I’m focusing on improving my food choices, increasing my water intake, and finding meals that have solid macros while still making me excited to eat them. Because as a foodie, if I have to suffer through another sad salad, I may simply pass away!! Seriously, ugh! Tired of salad....

Sooooo what are your favorite easy, nutrient rich meals? Meal prep ideas or single serving meals are both welcome! I’d love to try some new things. Any advice is welcome!! Thanks so much in advance!

Edit to add: Im f35 😁

Looking for entertainment that's not the bar scenes

I'm somewhat new to the area, been here a little over a year now. I'm 35f and looking for friends. So *~Not~* touching the dating scene with a ten foot pole. Just looking to expand my social circle.

I'm a gamer. Before I moved, I was part of a dnd campaign (albeit it was my first but still had a blast), had a barcade i frequented because there was always some sort of table top game going plus the arcade games, and just had a bunch of options. I'm wondering if there's anything like that here? Guessing there's not much but it's worth a try, right? TIA

And this is way you look at the quantity

Small town in East Texas. This is going to a business, I think an elementary school. No tip. Pickup order. But so not worth it, not even sure my Kia soul could fit it all honestly

[Routine Help] Need skincare advice after years of an ultra-simple routine

I’m a bit of a skincare challenge, which is why I need help. About 4 years ago, a dermatologist had me strip my skincare routine down to the bare basics because my skin was reacting badly to having too many products. Now I feel like I need to change things up again, but I can’t afford a dermatologist at the moment and my insurance doesn’t cover it. I’m hoping to get back in by the end of the year, but for now I’d really appreciate some friendly advice/suggestions.

I’m 35F and fairly new to East Texas, so I’m still adjusting to the climate. From what I’ve experienced and been told, it’s a mix of intense sun, humidity, and dry weather depending on the season. I also don’t wear makeup anymore aside from occasional mascara and eyebrow tint. I gave everything else up 4 years ago.

Current routine:

~CeraVe foaming facial cleanser once a day at night in the shower

~CeraVe salicylic acid acne control gel as a spot treatment (mostly jawline and t-zone breakouts)

~CeraVe daily moisturizer

In the mornings, I honestly just rinse my face with water and a washcloth. Sometimes I add extra moisturizer if my skin feels dry. I’ve tried the CeraVe am moisturizer with SPF 30, but it makes my face feel super oily.

Skin concerns / history:

~Rosacea (so I’ve been cautious about trying benzoyl peroxide)

~PCOS, now known as pmos, which contributes to acne (currently working with my OBGYN on that side of things)

~Perioral dermatitis if I overdo products. It hasn’t flared up in over 2 years, but about 4 years ago it got really bad, which is what led me to simplify my routine so drastically. Because of that, I’m very cautious about adding too many products too quickly.

Current issues:

~Oily T-zone with recurring whiteheads/redness/swelling

~Jawline acne

~Dry cheeks

~Probably need to find a good sunscreen that doesn’t make me greasy

I know nobody here can give medical advice, and I completely understand that. I’m just looking for gentle suggestions from people who may have dealt with similar skin issues or found products/routines that helped. Thank you! 😁

Edit to add: I have no brand loyalty to CeraVe, it's just what helped me after my breakout of the Perioral dermatitis, so I stuck with it.
