Payload 4 Experience
I know it’s way early but was wondering if anyone started testing the waters with it and your thoughts so far.

I am running macOS 27 Beta 4. I just tried starting my Twinmotion 2026.1 HF2 but it says I need Xcode. I **do have** Xcode installed, it just happens to be the Xcode Beta for macOS 27 because the non-beta version of Xcode won’t run on macOS 27. How do I get around this? Is there some way of pointing to my Xcode Beta within the app itself?
Updated the app only to see the bottom menu bar now includes a Games button. I have no use for games. And I see no way of customizing the menu bar in settings. Am I missing something?
I am not going to say that it’s **mostly** AI slop that Spotify is recommending me through Discover Weekly—the only playlist I have been listening to for the last couple of weeks—is downright bad. Monotonous music. Stuff that would have never before found its way into my recommends for that particular playlist. Discover Weekly used to be gems and new finds that made me not thinking paying twice for Spotify. But the last two weeks have been atrocious. I don’t know how to put it more plainly.
And no, I don’t tend to listen to only modern instrumentals. My music taste spans late ‘60s–today. I never used to have this problem and I’ve been with Spotify for close to 12 years.
Anyway, I have decided to move on. YouTube Music is actually good. It’s come a long way in the last year. Mostly just recently: not showing video playlists in their Music app.
It’s a sad ending. I can’t believe how screwed up Spotify, the company, has lost sight of the reason we use the app.
Sorry for the rant.
In my Today view in macOS, I have 10 tags available to me in the “filter by tags” section. Unfortunately, only 9 are visible and I have to click the 3-dot menu to see the last one. Why can’t we have **all** tags shown even if they have to wrap to a second line.
There are certain things with regards to tags that make for a cleaner UI, but that slow me down in working with Things.
As you know, on iOS, the fact that tags aren’t surfaced and we have to click into another menu to filter by tag is also a pain. And lastly, not having the tag names shown by the task also sucks. To be frank, the Notes icon is so similar to the Tags icon in list view that they are basically worthless.
I know I went off from the subject of the post, but please Things team, listen to your users on some of this stuff. I love this app, I just want it to work with me, not against me.
Wondering why YAML was not included in the formatting bar (Style Bar) at the footer of the editing space? The 4 other code types are there except for YAML. Bummer.
Not that it’s ready for prime time but anyone considering a new platform and is willing to see it develop, I do think Cloudflare is on to something here:
I guess the only thing I really would love to see in Bear — apart from Tags Focus which I believe is being worked on — is the ability to see tags in our notes list. At least up to three tags. Most of my notes include anywhere from 1–4 tags. Usually just three. But having them shown in list view (Preview Style) would be awesome.
I just read that the next-gen CMS is available to everyone now. But other than the increases in items, etc. did the actual look of the CMS change?
