This was Angus Beef's setup as I was moving him to my dorm haha. He was not a happy camper, but he's all settled in now. He's fully buried himself, which is new, but I'm letting him be because I don't want to stress him out anymore than the trip did. I'll dig him up in a couple days to feed him since he's still a baby, if he's still fully buried.
*The white packets are ice packs I put in to make sure he didn't get too hot. Plus I put a jacket over the glass facing my windshield so that it would absorb a lot of sun nd not him

I absolutely cannot wait for him to be big enough to be able to eat dubia roaches. As someone who is TERRIFIED of roaches. Okay, well, just house/outside roaches. Dubias are fine lol.
Due to the cricket shortage, I've been opting to give Angus Beef nightcrawlers.. and I have discovered that I absolutely HATE cutting them. I feel so freaking bad because they're way to big to give to him whole yet so I have to chop them with scissors. I feel so freaking bad and gross because they thrash and try to escape. And then I made the mistake of looking up if they had pain receptors and boy oh boy did that make me feel worse.
I'm not afraid of blood or wounds or anything, one of my careers options was orthopedic surgery.. but I just.. I can't chop worm without shivering and feeling so bad.

Also, idk why his thermometer says 88°. His Zoomed one that has a probe sits RIGHT beside that one and reads at a constant 79-82° ish. I don't know which one to believe, tbh, but I'm more prone to believe the ZooMed one and not the Amazon one (I only bought the Amazon one for the hygrometer). Any help?? I've tried THREE bulbs now and #1 (75w) was too hot, #2 (35w) was too cold, and #3 (50w) (the one in the photo that I just bought today) I can't read it yet too see if it's just right or not (I got called into work). Help?

As the title says. My tongs are metal with rubber tips about two inches at the end. I've been cleaning them off in spring water and then using a paper towel to dry/clean them more. Is there a more thorough way to do this?
I just don't want to accidentally harm my frog by using soap. I would use fire, but there are rubber tips on the tongs. Should I just get new metal tongs without any rubber? Thank you!
Pretty sure that was his first croak.. or attempt at croaking. It was so bad and absolutely terrified me. I ran over expecting to see him belly-up, DEAD. Nope, right as rain, just chilling out. Don't think he'll do it again since I turned the lights on and disturbed him most likely.
But, oh my gosh... it scared me so bad. My mom downstairs heard it lmfao. I'm still a little shaken, mostly with relief that he's not dying. Hoooooly... I know what roosters sound like when they first start crowing since I have one, so I assume Angus Beef's just learning to croak, but I will be keeping an eye on him. Startled me so bad.

I'm back from a week-long trip to New York (a friend was watching my frog and other pets)! So happy to see Angus Beef again!
He looks a little different in color since when I saw him last, but I know it's normal. Anyways, my question! Is live moss okay for my frog? I haven't seen or heard of him being on the moss at all, and the moss itself is doing fine it it's little corner, but I want to be sure to remove it before it potentially grows if it IS an issue.
I took any and all dead moss out that came with my frog/isopods in their shipping containers. This is his third burrow so far; his other two are on the complete opposite side of the tank away from the moss completely.
TL;DR: Is live moss okay for my frog so long as it's not near where I feed him? Should I remove it entirely?

Hi! First day being a Pac-Man mom! If you look at my other posts, you'll know I've done my research.. BUT: I am freaking out because this is the first time I've had a Pac-Man. I know it's probably just irrational and my anxiety being high from this being my very first time owning a frog.
I have discovered that they kind of breathe fast! Is that normal? Like, think of the regular, slow breathing a different animal like a cat would have, but speed it up. That's that. I imagine that's normal because smaller animals (like rodents) breathe quickly too. Just trying to be sure!
He hasn't eaten much. I'm figuring this is just to be because he's still settling in. He DID eat 2-3 small crickets when I first got him out of his shipping container. Tong-fed, if that helps anything. I haven't touched him with anything besides those tongs and while wearing gloves! I tried the trick where you move him into a separate environment to eat, but he wasn't interested, so I just want to give him some time. He has soaked in his water dish and burrowed (both after his soak and after I put him back in his tank after he failed to eat in a new environment trick)
At night, his tank drops to the low 70s or 69-ish. I know that's low, but according to the pinned 2023 care sheet, that's okay for nighttime. He's a Cranwelli and not the rainforest one. I'm putting a towel over his tank tonight so that some of the heat stays inside. I need to get a new heating bulb anyway because my current one isn't compatible with my ZooMed Dimming Thermostat. A new bulb/lamp would then actually work with the dimming system, and I wouldn't have to worry about him overheating. Should I also look into getting a CHE or DPH for nighttime?
All of his thermometers read differently. I trust the ZooMed Dimming thermostat most I believe, because the other two I got off of Amazon for cheap, and I only got them for the humidity.
•The small hygrometer right under his heat (on the level my frog is at) lamp reads high 90s, but my ZooMed metal probe that sits right next to it reads 80-85 at the same time the other is reading high 90s. The second hygrometer I have is on the complete opposite side of the tank, and that reads roughly 70-72, no matter if the heat lamp is on or not. I feel like that's a good thing, so if he did get too hot on one side, he could shimmy over to the cooler side? Idk how studious these little guys are though. Idk if he'd have the brain power to shimmy to where it's cooler.
•His water dish is on the side of the tank where his heat lamp is (his heat lamp is on the back left, his dish is on the front left. Should I move it? His burrow is right beside his dish. I feel like the dish being on the warmer side is a good idea in case he gets too warm? And the water wouldn't be too cool. But let me know if I need to move it!
As of writing this, he has moved a little bit in his burrow, which brings me some peace lol, I'm just overthinking everything right now, I think

Hello! My name is Quarter Pounder 100% Angus Beef Burger, but I just go by Angus Beef, Angus, or Beef! I am a Ceratophrys cranwelli from Josh's Frogs! I was a discount because of my deformed foot. My mom bought me because when she was viewing individually pictured frogs, I was the only one posted up and ready to fight, and she got attached. Can't wait to meet everyone!
I did it! I bought my frog, and he's coming tomorrow! I am so freaking excited. I've spent well over $200 on him (probably more like $300) in roughly a week-ish, and I am so happy!
Here's my current set-up for when he arrives:
This is a 10-gallon tank. He'll be about 1 inch when he arrives, but I'll upgrade when he gets older. I also took these photos directly after misting the tank, so the hygrometer still had time to catch up. Also, I had turned the heat lamp off for a bit to fiddle with it and the dimming thermostat, so it's also not at the right temperature yet!
How does this look? Too much/not enough leaf litter? Too many/not enough hides? The water in the dish + the water I use to mist are both spring water!
I don't know how to get my Zoomed dimming thermostat to work with the light actually plugged into it. Idk if it's because I got a light + bulb from a different brand (Fluker's), but I'll probably buy a new lamp and bulb from Zoomed and see if that works then.
This is a bioactive tank! I've got UVB, isopods, and springtails (I have more isopods and springtails coming on Monday because the ones I bought at Petco from Josh's Frogs quite literally did not have a single isopod in them, so I got a refund and they let me go through the others to get a new one lol)! Off to the side, not shown, is my repti-calcum without D3!

Hello! Like my last post, I'm looking into getting a Pac-Man frog. I just went out and bought a whooole lot of stuff for one lol. One thing I've put off buying is lighting? I don't fully understand it.
I plan on having UBV lighting (I bought calcium supplements without D3), but I have no idea if that counts as a heating source? Should I buy a heat bulb alongside a UBV bulb? Any recommendations for UBV and/or heat lamp bulbs? I just bought a dimming thermostat that someone recommended to me, if that helps with anything! Also, my terrarium will be bioactive!

Things I know/have that I didn't write down:
-Oils in your hands could potentially harm the frog, so gloves are a must!
-I have a 10-gallon tank right now (because the frogs from Josh's Frogs ship when they're around 1 inch), but I AM upgrading when they get bigger!
-There's an exotic pet vet within an hour of my location that takes care of frogs if I ever need one!
-There's an exotic pet shop within ten minutes of me that has reptiles, frogs (including Pac-Mans), birds, etc., so I know quite a few places to get crickets/roaches/etc. from if one place is out
-I'm going to Petco tomorrow to buy some hides, leaf litter, and substrate (if it's appropriate) in case I do go through with buying a frog. I'm also going to look at bigger tanks there as well! I've heard that tanks with doors on the side aren't ideal because they don't allow for much burrowing room since substrate can't be that deep due to the door, so wired, breathable tank tops are best
-I'm also getting one of those small, plastic reptile "cages" to use as a temporary/travel tank for when I clean the tank or if I need to take the frog to the vet for any reason
Am I missing any? Any tips/advice? Any recommended sites/places to shop from?

So, this is kind of a specific request, but does anyone know of a mod(s) that add the witchy/pagan vibe to the game but doesn't include magic (or the magic can be toggled off with configs)?
My brother, sister, and sister's boyfriend all play on a semi-survival world, and we'd love mods where it adds spice to the game, but it still feels Minecrafty. I say semi-survival because sister and sister's boyfriend only like playing in creative, and brother and I only use creative for aesthetic reasons (ie, add to our builds to make them look pretty, but nothing functional/things we could use to give ourselves a boost).
I'd love things like herbs, hanging/drying herbs, dried fruits, dried fruit wreaths, etc. My and my sister's boyfriend's PC are beasts, so they can handle heavier mods, but my sister and brother are playing on old HP laptops.
Does anyone know of any mods that may be like this? I play with Forge. I also don't mind resource packs!

But no one else has been online. My brother's been online all day, and no one else has logged in. The whitelist was enabled before the server was even fully set up, so no one should've been able to get in without me physically typing their name in. I banned them immediately.
I DO have several mods. My only leading theory right now is that a mod I added yesterday, "Controllable," which allows you to connect a controller to Java Edition. My sister uses that since she prefers playing MC on the TV. My theory is that it thinks the controller is a completely different person?
Haven't been able to test that yet since she also works and tends to game with us later. Will update if that works. In the meantime, feel free to comment.

So, in December, when my college got out for winter break, my mental health just died. I finished the semester sick, and I had no motivation to do anything. It was a struggle to even get out of bed. I started my spring semester exactly like that.
It got better, but by midterms I plummeted again and I ended up failing two classes and getting a D in another :,D (two A's though..)! Throughout this entire time, I hardly interacted with the gods or my altars, and even when I was feeling better, I'd avoid interacting with them.
It's not that I didn't want to, I just couldn't make myself. I've been diagnosed with autism, specifically PDA (pathological demand avoidance). It's not like the gods or my altars were demanding I interact with them; I think it was myself. I had fallen into the routine of not interacting with them, and every time I'd yell at myself that I wasn't being a good worshipper, I'd avoid it more.
But! I recently had my meds upped. And it could be just a coincidence, but I started the new dosage last night, and this morning I actually had motivation. I decided to take a devotional shower for Aphrodite, and I prayed to her whilst asking for her forgiveness.
After, I even took a soft paintbrush I use to dust my altars, rubbed it on my cat's head (because I've heard cats are good for cleansing/intuition), and dusted my altars. I may even clean my room and bathroom with this newfound motivation.
But yeah! I hope this isn't a coincidence, and I hope this motivation sticks with me!

Off topic: Does anyone know of any pet-safe, floral-smelling incense sticks/cones, candles, etc? I have so much incense, but I don't want to burn it because my cat stays upstairs with me, and I don't want to accidentally irritate her respiratory system.
