I have an issue I'd like peoples thoughts on, but I first need to give a little background as i never had this problem before.

background:

2 years ago I had blue veins around my eyes removed. the veins were removed but damage was done by the laser including broken capillaries, scaring, white patch where laser ran, and i think small malar bag edema. THIS HAS CAUSED ME UNTOLD AMOUNTS OF PAIN EMOTIONALLY AND WAS FOR MY MENTAL HEALTH THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!

anyway. for the past two years I have been pretty much obsessively looking in the mirror. i used to like what I saw (just wanted the veins gone - a minor improvement), but now i really struggle and hate what I see. I focus in on the damage (which I am sure I have exaggerated because of the fixation) and it messes my mind up.

anyway, my situation and question

since the two years, i feel very strange when now look in the mirror. when i look at my face, my brain reacts in a certain way, like it releases a chemical, which feels odd. it is not good for me. I can use a very small mirror and look at certain parts such as my cheek, and be OK. but if I look at my full face, my brain releases this chemical which activates something. I know im struggling to describe it. but its like , i cannot socialise with people the same if I do this. i am not the same person once i look in the mirror too much. and as soon as i look i can feel my brain reacting, it's instant! it's like im not meant to be looking at my face anymore in full without my brain having this response. it is similar in feeling to when im death scrolling all the negative feeds on facebook, my brain is fried, but not the exact same.

<EDIT JUST TO ADD> i feel as though when i look at my whole face, my brain perceives this as another human and think maybe it's interacting. but how often do we look directly at another human like this? (rarely i'd say). maybe it is just overloaded with stimulation which is not a good thing. i do not know.

I know I have been vague, but it is difficult to describe.

FTB here and this is the first survey i've ever had completed.

Survey highlighted:

"Redundant fire places - Relatively high damp noted to the rear chimney breast, please note damp within chimneys is a latent defect and can only be reduced to an extent. You need to instruct a structural engineer to carry out an investigation to identify the full extent of the problem that is causing damp and the necessary repairs required, together with an estimate of the cost. Purchaser should budget accordingly." The damp meter reading read 460 and 505.

This is the biggest finding in the L2 survey report. Thoughts please?

No other signs of damp in the property. Chimney did recommend to be requiring repointing but was a 'medium' finding and nothing severe.

Appreciate all input and guidance (true beginner here).
