We’ve had Crosstreks for years (got a great lease years ago). The last Forester I leased was well over a decade ago. Does anybody currently have one of each or came from one to another recently? I am trying to figure out if we should give it a shot.
There are some pieces of music from the game that I love. I did a deep dive the other day to listen to one of the (3?) multiple soundtrack albums available. I listened on Spotify and YouTube. I listened to the Willie Nelson track, D’Angelo, the Rhiannon Giddens and whoever else but it didn’t sound like anything I was looking for. I listened to the House Building EP and that’s not it. And of course I listened to the other tracks But I cannot find the tracks that I hear while riding along in the open world. None sounded like the cue music that plays.
Then I read that the game has an algorithm that changes the music by how you play (honorable on down) and I guess the speed by which you ride and your activities in the open world.
Has anybody had any luck finding the short music cues?
I fished. I explored St Denis a month ago (game time), wrote down all the wall writings, did the pentagram. I did everything but rescue M in strawberry, chapter 2. I looked at the journal entries multiple times. I waited in St Denis outside the doctors office at midnight. Left for weeks, came back tried again, nothing doing. Did the camp away in Anneburg thing for 3 nights and came back at 1130 and still nothing. I read about staring at a pink sign. (I’m colorblind so I don’t know what that is.)
What else do I need to do? I want to see the vampire.
Looking for Jewish birth and marriage database or what website to order a certified copy from? Great grandfather was born in Lemberg in the 1880s. I believe this is Galicia and therefore Austro-Hungary Empire. I’ve been looking in Family Search and have come up dry. Has anyone had any luck with this sort of thing?

Great grandfather born 1881 in Lemberg. Settled in Dresden between 1900-1910. Operated business with GGM. Died 1931 of cancer.
Great Grandmother born 1883 in Gorbersdorf (Sokolowsko), settled in Dresden with her family as a minor. Married GgF sometime between 1910-1912, had children in 1912-1918. Deported to Riga 42, died Auschwitz 1943.
Grandfather born 1918 in Dresden. Arrested on Kristallnacht in 1938, deported to Dachau, stateless refugee status in England 1939.
Grandmother born 1920 in Essen. Sent to England as part of Kindertransport 1939, considered stateless.
They married in 1942, mother born 1947. All came to US in 1947, naturalized 1952.
Mother married US father in 1970.
I was born in 1975 in US.
I have no paperwork for ggf except scan of death cert, multiple Dresden addressbook listings throughout 1920s and 1930, and grave location. GGM has been researched by numerous Dresden historians, written about by Yad Vashem, Arolsen Archives, stolperstein on her last home, I do not have her birth certificate or anything else.
Grandfather has been written about as well, SLUB created a documentary about him and family, have his birth cert, marriage cert, arolsen archives of his prisoner number in Dachau, UK refugee paperwork and photo ID, ship records, US naturalization docs. Grandmother birth cert, marriage cert, us naturalization docs.
Mother birth cert, marriage cert, she is listed on grandparents naturalization docs as a minor.
I have all US docs for myself and son if we decide to apply.
Am I missing anything? Is this a decent case for citizenship by decent?
So I run up a giant bounty in St Denis because my horse knocked somebody over and I had to shoot my way out.
Then outside town (the place where you find fancy bird feathers) after an escape on someone else’s horse and camping out a night in the crying lady area. I get caught again by more St Denis uniformed cops (weird) and various other lawmen. Have to shoot out there too.
I finally escape, get to Rhodes, turn myself in to get rid of the $300 bounty and Dutch shows up and blows out the jail wall. So again, I don’t get the bounty cleared and I end up having a shootout near the Woolens place. Dutch is still riding along by me one second and five minutes later while looting lawman bodies, I find one labelled as Dutch, who is dressed like Dutch and he is lying on the ground. I have never seen it before. I don’t think I looted him but ran off again.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Hot takes galore
I figure I would ask here as someone who doesn’t have a ton of experience with glasses. I am on my third pair (in about 7 years)and my son has been wearing glasses for a few years as well. We have eyemed coverage through work.
I have been to Americas Best and Pearle for glasses and my son has been to Americas Best. I do not know if I am particularly rough on glasses (I use the damp wipes that were sold at the store, never paper towels or other stuff) but I have progressives with some sort of blue light coating and I notice tiny dots, sometimes a scratch that seem to peel or wear off in the field of view. I have work associates who go to other places and they never mention having this kind of thing.
First off, is this common? I realize coatings wear out but maybe I shouldn’t ask for it next time? Do you find other that people mention this? Also I realize that they don’t make the glasses in store but is there a noticeable quality difference between the retail companies? Is there another recommendation if the companies aren’t great?
I realize the 2 for glasses with exam stuff for $95 is a come-on for companies to draw in customers who don’t have insurance, but I usually end up paying around 300-400 anyway with my script (middle aged presbyopia, astigmatism, mag for reading and distance). Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
My confession: It is literally the only thing I cannot do. It have no rhythm, my hands are messed up or something. I end up stabbing myself all the time and I can’t get past it. I have seen the clues, I’ve heard you can copy the other guy, I cannot ever get it right.
I did some “chronic” usage occasionally in college 30 years ago. It was perfect because I assume it was not the crazy high levels that are the average now when I buy once in a while at a dispensary in the area. I have tried gummies and lozenges and don’t want to smoke. It doesn’t seem to work for me.
Like most folks, I don’t do it regularly, so I am not a habitual user and I never know when it will kick in and when it does it either feels like nothing, or that everybody is looking at me and I am being watched (this is home usage, I never use anything in public) and makes me anxious.
So now I hear from friends of the family about THc drink cans. I am willing to give it a try. Are there any that anyone can recommend?
Visiting Berlin, Dresden, Potsdam and Meissen for the next few weeks. We originally had Leipzig on the list but I don’t know if we will have time. I will be sitting out a day or so to do business. We are non-politically affiliated US citizens so we are trying to get a Gaumenreiniger from the stupidity going on in our own country.
We have some driving and walking tours set up but I really would like to hear from citizens of these places: what would you recommend no one miss?

Chapter 2, took the brat fishing, rescued Sean. Met Gill and started fishing. Ran around St Denis and found all the scary messages, they are logged in journal. Have the pentagram drawn. I hang out at the bar, gamble, run around the city and he doesn’t show up. I do run into those shitty juvenile delinquents in that alley but no vampire. Any ideas?
I like when I am exploring the greater St Denis region that the weather can turn in a second and the wind and rain picks up. What would you think of real New Orleans style storms, like some buildings could be wrecked or trees overturned or ripped out?

I am so excited this group is here. I have been watching all of the exciting posts and have been waiting along with the folks here via friends’ Reddit feeds for a year or so. I finally took the plunge and downloaded Reddit today to join up for the fun. I am going to be meeting with a consulate soon and just compiling all of the old family documents. Nothing exciting of my own to report yet, just wanted to say I love the sense of community here.
