IWC Pilot's Watch 36 (IW324010)
My favorite watch. That is all.
Sinn 856 S UTC + Joseph Bonnie
A bit unorthodox to put a tropic on a flieger perhaps, but I think it looks quite nice, and it's a really comfortable summer combo.
Sinn 856 S UTC
No other brand does blacked out watches better than Sinn, right? 🥷 🇩🇪
Omega Aqua Terra 38
I really like the silver-white dial and anthracite hands/indices on this one. Classy and legible at the same time. Reference 220.10.38.20.02.001.
[IWC] Pilot's 36 [Omega] Aqua Terra 38
These two mid-sized allrounders complement each other really well, I think. Black vs white, brushed vs polished, painted numerals vs applied indices, five-link vs oyster, etc. Both models are now discontinued. The Aqua Terra went out of production last month and the Pilot's 36 back in 2022.
The Aqua Terra 38 (220.10.38.20.02.001) is the newest addition to my collection, but the Pilot's 36 (IW324010) is still my favorite. There's something almost magical about that particular IWC, even though the Omega objectively has a more advanced movement. They are both excellent timekeepers, so it really doesn't matter anyway. ETA 2892-A2 is a fine, almost flawless movement.
The IWC has a solid steel caseback with a nicely engraved Junkers aircraft, while the Omega has the usual (slightly boring) sapphire display caseback. The bracelet on the IWC is unbeatable, absolutely top-class. It's made by Brogioli, a family-owned company based in Monteggio, Switzerland. They manufacture everything in-house and produce bracelets and clasps for brands such as A. Lange & Söhne and Glashütte Original, so it's about as good as it gets.
That was my take on these watches. Have a nice weekend.
"A hundred years from now when we're dead and gone, people are going to be watching this fuckin thing."
What do you think happened to Cleaver? I'm guessing it went red-hot to award season.
It's one of my favorite subplots. I have gotten so many laughs out of it.
Crissy's synopsis is so good: "A young wise guy, assassin, gets betrayed by his people. They whack him and leave his body parts in dumpsters all around the city. Long story short, he is put back together, by science... or maybe it's supernatural. And he gets payback on everyone who fucked him over, including the cunt who he was engaged to. She was getting porked by his boss the night the hero was killed."
New Captain Cook 39 mm
Last week Rado quietly released a new color with a brand new fitted rubber strap.
What do you all think?
Personally, I LOVE it. I don't think I'll be able to resist any longer. The dimensions are perfect in my opinion: 39 × 45 × 12 mm. Weight: 85 g on rubber.
I might buy the gradient blue version on the BoR bracelet and order the rubber strap separately. The rubber costs around $300 according to my local AD. It will be available for purchase in 6-8 weeks.
