Radiant Path Surges

Fellow players who are taking Radiant paths, do yall plan on focusing into one surge's set of talents or do yall plan to be more versatile? Im currently running a level 4 Agent(spy)/Skybreaker. I try to plan out my levelling because it helps me as a player. But because at my heart im an optimizer, im stuck in decision paralysis between focusing on general radiant talents, going full into Gravitation, or going full into Division. And really seeing how everyone else makes those decisions helps me process that

I Dont Get the Hate

Title says it all. I do have some gripes. It seems to me that the most vocal people hating on Cloak and Dagger are dps mains. Usually divers. I wont lie, i main Daredevil. Not because of meta, its because hes my favorite superhero. CnD are one of my go-tos for strategist.

It seems to me they whine abt any strategist they cant just instakill. Like for one, you shouldnt be solo diving. Like, i get you have xyz hours and havent seen the sun in 3 weeks. But you gotta dive with a partner.

"Cloak and Daggers braindead" they say. Auto-aim, sure. Braindead? Absolutely not. You have to manage your cooldowns, you have to know target priority. It sounds to me that youre just not good at CnD.

"They cant die in their bubble". Do you not have abilities to get them out of ths bubble? Do you not kmow that while theyve popped the bubble for themselves, their team is now down heals.

The hate yall get is so overblown and exhausting. CnD are awesome, and fun. And, imo, the bane of fliers. Thats why i picked them up, back during the flier meta.

Wallhacks

Why is it when i see people complain abt DD, they always complain abt his radar sense like its some broken ability? The sense is only permanent if he marks you, and its only out to what, 40 meters?

Light Weapons vs Heavy Weapons

Whats the benefit of light weapons over heavy weapons? My character Ravirin is a Skybreaker. Just hit level 4, and my speed is a 3 and strength is a 2. Im planning on using swords and i currently have a sidesword. Because im a filthy optimizer, im leaning towards putting points into heavy weapons and taking a longsword. However, if i dont have to do that id rather not.

Nerfs from a Mid Player

Since release Daredevil has been my main because hes my favorite superhero. Im a very mid console player. I dont touch ranked because im usually solo-queuing, and while i am good with Loki CnD and Gambit, i can only do so much. So i stick to quickplay with my friends.

The nerfs kinda suck. The nerf to DDs vision really makes it tough to get in and get to work. The dash nerfs thrown me off a bit.

That being said, the nerfs are a minor setback. When i can pop off i pop off. My gameplay loop hasnt really been affected, and its forced me to be smarter with my approaches.

Ladies, gentlemen. Fellow Devils of Hells Kitchen and Men Without Fear. They cant keep us down. Daredevil never ducks a fade and neither do we. And if a braindead homunculus like me is having this, i shudder to think what someone with actual skills can accomplish. Because we arent dead. Little battered, but we still get the job done. Even if all you can do is keep their backline distracted, you did your job.

For whatever reason, the last 3 days I havent been able to get to sleep before 330 in the morning. I did nap most of the day monday because i was off work. Monday night, same issue. Couldnt fall asleep til 3 or 330. Makes sense. Now yesterday. I didnt nap, i took 15 mg melatonin (i havent used it in years), i was in bed at 930, and i dodnt fall asleep til well after 4. I changed rooms, i tried to do some model building in low light to tire myself out. Nothing worked. Any help or advice?

Rogal Dorn Emperors Crusader

Im reading through my first Fists aligned book, and i figured Rogal Dorns primarch book was a good place to start.

  1. good Lord the Lion and the Dark Angels suck. Just absolute arrogant jerks. They kind of give me unironically edgy vibes. Like straight up the Lion has the energy of that one kids first DnD character thats great at everything he does and "sits in the corner and thinks about how to kill everyone in the room". Cringey edgy, not fun edgy

  2. i really like how, despite the memes, Dorn gives me the impression of someone cares but is reserved. Instead of how the memes say that hes a brick, i dont get that impression. Hes logical and reserved, but hes someone who does care immensely for his sons and his mission. At least what im getting.

  3. the Huscarls are so cool. Absolutely based.

I do have to admit that i am at heart a Night Lord fan. But the Imperial Fists have definitely taken second place for favorite Warhammer factions.

Is it considered taboo to use the colors of a Chapters parent legion? Im working on a homebrewed Imperial Fists chapter, the Varangian Knights. The colors i like for the are black and yellow, using one of the old schemes of the Heresy era Fists. Specifically from the Huscarls, where the armor is mostly black or gunmetal with Fist yellow pauldrons and/or helmet. Is that considered out of line for homebrewing?
