PS5 on 13.42 — Should I update or keep waiting for a jailbreak?

Hello everyone,

I have a PS5 digital on firmware 13.42 with a 1-year PS Plus Deluxe subscription. I’ve also purchased several games, including GTA VI, Elden Ring, and 3–4 other games.

I’ve been waiting for a jailbreak for 13.42 so I could jailbreak the console and play games, with the idea of resetting/updating the PS5 later when I want to go back to playing GTA VI and my other purchased games.

However, I’m stuck now because there’s no jailbreak for 13.42, and my games are asking me to update the PS5 system software before I can play them.

What would you recommend?

  • Should I keep the PS5 on 13.42 and continue waiting for a jailbreak?
  • Is there any way to play my legitimately purchased games without updating?
  • If I update now, am I likely to regret losing the possibility of a future jailbreak?
  • Is there anything I should do before updating?

I’m basically trying to decide whether keeping 13.42 is worth it or whether I should just update and enjoy the games I already paid for.

Any advice from people who understand the current PS5 jailbreak/firmware situation would be appreciated.

What should I do? Need advice

Hi everyone. I’ve pre-ordered GTA VI, and I also have Elden Ring, Batman, some other games, and a 1-year Deluxe subscription.

My PS5 is currently on firmware 13.42, and I was planning to jailbreak it after finishing GTA VI. The problem is that right now I can’t download/play some of my games because they’re asking me to update.

I really want to play GTA VI, but I also don’t want to update if it means losing the possibility of jailbreaking later.

What would you guys recommend in this situation? Is there any safe way to keep the console on 13.42 while still being able to use my purchased games, or should I just update?

Any advice from people who understand the current PS5 situation would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS5 Jailbreak Advice Needed (Firmware 13.42)

Hey everyone,

I bought a PS5 Digital recently and it’s currently on firmware 13.42. I also have a 1-year PlayStation Deluxe subscription and own a few games like Elden Ring, Batman Trilogy, and GTA V.

The issue is that there are still many games I want to play (Alan Wake, Mafia, Silent Hill f, and upcoming titles like GTA VI), but buying everything is getting expensive. I was originally planning to jailbreak the console, but now I’m unsure because of future game compatibility.

I’d really appreciate some guidance:

  1. If I jailbreak my PS5, can I revert back to normal later?
  2. Where do people usually get games after jailbreaking? (just curious how it works)
  3. What’s the fastest way to transfer/install games (SSD, USB, etc.)?
  4. Should I keep updating my PS5? I assume games like GTA VI will require the latest firmware.
  5. What are the best practices if I’m considering jailbreaking vs staying legit?

I’m kind of stuck between saving money and not missing out on future releases. Would love to hear your advice or experiences.

Thanks!

How are cheap RDP sellers creating their setups?

Hey, I’ve been seeing a lot of sellers offering RDPs, and they don’t seem to be from AWS or big platforms.

From what I understand, they buy a server and then create multiple RDPs from it. Each RDP usually has:

  • Different IP
  • Custom wallpaper / setup
  • Renewable plans (monthly, etc.)

I’m curious:

  • What kind of server are they using for this?
  • How are they creating multiple RDPs with different IPs?
  • Is it shared CPU or some kind of virtualization?
  • What’s the typical cost to start something like this?

If anyone has experience with this, I’d really appreciate some guidance

Please help- Flipkart/Sc@mkart made my life hell ft. GOAT Sale

On 3 July, during the GOAT Sale, I placed an order using my friend's friend's credit card. The amount was debited immediately, but the order went into "Pending" status. Flipkart asked me to wait 2 hours for an update, and after some time the order simply showed "Order not placed."

I contacted Flipkart support, and they told me that if any amount had been deducted, it would be refunded within 5-7 business days.

After waiting, I received nothing.

I raised a complaint, and they extended the timeline by another 5 days. Still nothing. Then they asked me to wait another 5 days again.

During this time, I contacted Flipkart multiple times. Every single time they said they had not received the payment and asked me to contact my bank.

I then contacted the bank and filed a complaint. The bank provided proof that:

  • The transaction was successfully processed.
  • The amount was posted to the credit card.
  • Flipkart had received the payment.
  • The bank asked me to tell Flipkart to process the refund.

Despite this, Flipkart kept insisting they hadn't received any payment.

Finally, last Saturday, one customer support executive admitted that he could see the payment but said it was stuck due to a system glitch. He told me he had raised a manual refund request and that I'd receive an update within 24 hours, with the refund processed in the following business days.

The very next day, I called again for an update.

To my surprise, three different support executives told me they couldn't find any payment or any manual refund request at all. I got the same response on calls, chats, and even through the National Consumer Helpline complaint.

This entire GOAT Sale experience has been a nightmare.

Because the payment was made using someone else's credit card:

  • I now have to pay that person the full amount.
  • The credit card due date is approaching, so there may be extra charges and interest.
  • I never received the product.
  • Flipkart still has my money (or at least refuses to acknowledge it).

It's been weeks of endless calls, chats, and false promises. Every time they just delay the case instead of resolving it.

Has anyone faced something similar? What should I do next?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm completely exhausted dealing with this.

Need suggestions – Missed the sale, what should I do now?

Flipkart did me dirty, and with Amazon I didn't realize the deal would end so quickly. By the time I was ready to order, it went out of stock.

Now I'm confused about what to do:

  • Should I wait for the Big Billion Days sale?
  • I need to place 2–3 orders (hoping at least one gets delivered). Is that a good idea?
  • Do you think prices will increase before then?
  • Or should I just wait for the iPhone 18 Pro instead?

Also, if anyone knows of any good offline deals at stores like Reliance Digital, Croma, Apple Premium Resellers, Vijay Sales, or anywhere else, please let me know.

Would really appreciate your suggestions and experiences. Thanks!

Iphone 17 Fk/Am experience

I tried to order the iPhone 17 exactly at 12:00 AM. The payment was successfully deducted from my credit card, but after about two hours, Amazon informed me that my order had been cancelled and that I would receive a refund. I still haven't received the refund, and all of my orders were cancelled.

The next day, the Amazon Prime sale started, but I was a little busy. By the time my Prime membership was activated, the entire stock had gone out of stock.

Now I'm confused about where I should buy it.

Offline stores aren't offering much discount, and I only have my friend's credit card. He lives around 50–100 km away, and most physical stores require the actual card to be present for the transaction. They're also not offering discounts as good as the online sale.

Should I wait for the Big Billion Days (BBD) sale, or do you think the price will increase before then?

Need advice: Buy iPhone 17 now or wait for the iPhone 18 Pro?

So I've been using my iPhone 12 since launch. I've never used a case, so the side frame is pretty beaten up now 😅, but the phone itself still works fine.

The main issues I'm facing are:

  • 64GB storage is no longer enough.
  • Battery health isn't great anymore.
  • It heats up on 5G.

I had originally planned to buy the iPhone 18 Pro and have saved around ₹1.3 lakh for it.

But after Apple increased prices this week, I'm wondering if I should just get the iPhone 17 instead. Do you think there's a good chance the iPhone 17's price will also increase?

The reason I wanted the 18 Pro was because I'll probably keep it for 4–5 years. The rumored upgrades like the smaller Dynamic Island/notch, better camera aperture, improved cooling, and bigger battery seem worth waiting for.

At the same time, I don't like paying a huge premium if the extra features aren't really worth the money.

So what would you do?

  • Buy the iPhone 17 now?
  • Wait and buy the iPhone 18 Pro?
  • Or go for the iPhone 17 Pro instead?

For context, I already own an iPhone XR, iPhone 12, an Android phone, and a couple of iPad Pros. I even considered buying the iPhone 17 for around ₹72–75k now and then upgrading to the 18 Pro later if it's worth it, but that feels like wasting money since I already have plenty of devices.

Would love to hear what you'd do in my situation.

Reliance Digital iPhone 17 Deal Good?

I need some advice.

I have an old iPhone XR that nobody in my family is using. I bought it about 2 years ago for ₹15,700 from a local shop because I urgently needed a phone at the time.

Currently, my main phone is an iPhone 12, but its condition is honestly pretty bad (battery, wear and tear, etc.). So I'm considering upgrading to the iPhone 17 using xr.

Reliance Digital currently has:

  • Exchange value for old phone
  • ₹10,000 exchange bonus
  • Around 5%/5k in store discount (not sure)
  • Possible bank offers

The ₹10k exchange bonus looks attractive.

My questions:

  1. Is the current Reliance Digital offer genuinely good, or is it better to wait for BBD?
  2. How much lower do you realistically expect the iPhone 17 to go during BBD?
  3. Has anyone recently purchased an iPhone 17 from Reliance Digital? What was your final effective price after all discounts?
  4. Any tips to maximize discounts at Reliance Digital? (card offers, negotiation, exchange tricks, etc.)
  5. I also have multiple devices at home (3 phones, iPad pro, mac, and a few other gadgets). Does Reliance allow exchanging whichever device gives the best value?

I know the iPhone 18 is expected several months from now, but honestly I don't care much about AI features. The iPhone 17 already seems more than enough for me, and 8GB RAM looks sufficient for years.

If you were in my situation, would you:

  • Buy the iPhone 17 now,
  • Wait for BBD,
  • Or wait for the iPhone 18?

Would appreciate real-world experiences from people who recently bought from Reliance Digital.

Edit: I also keep seeing reports that Apple may increase prices while pushing AI into everything. Personally, I don't care much about AI on a phone, if I need it, I can just use ChatGPT, Gemini, or another AI app. That's why the iPhone 17 feels like a sweet spot to me in terms of value and features. Even if I buy an iPhone 18 Pro later, the iPhone 17 would either become my secondary phone or go to my mom, so it wouldn't be wasted. That's why I'm wondering whether I should grab the current Reliance Digital offer or wait for BBD.

Change email

I would like to request an email address change for my Koofr account. I am currently migrating my online accounts to a new primary email address that I use for long-term account management and recovery. I still have access to the current account and can verify ownership through any security checks you require.

suggest MUST BUY games

Retailers here were asking 70-75k but somehow managed to get a PS5 Slim Digital 1TB for 56k, also bought 3 years PS Deluxe.

Friend told me to buy it even though I barely have time to play these days lol. Now I noticed some games like Red Dead Redemption 2 still aren’t included in subscription it will be there in subs 2-3 days ig.

Since PS Plus prices are increasing too, suggest me 4-5 MUST BUY digital games that are actually worth owning permanently.
