Favorite Twisties?
Where do you guys like to go for some fun uncrowded twisty roads? I’m familiar with most canyon roads outside of Boulder and P2P, but where else? Not on touristy speed trap prone roads obviously, or ones with lots of hidden driveways.
Pic is of my new toy, an ‘01 SLK 320 I got for just $3k. Been like 7yrs since I sold my last fun car (an MR2 Spyder) and man I’m having a blast with this thing so far. Handles so well and it’s much faster than the MR2 was.
Also if any of y’all in the younger crowd (i’m 26) wanna arrange a meetup on a weekday (i’m off tues-thurs) to drive up there i’d be down 🤙

Bought my first ever german car
Just bought this ‘01 Mercedes SLK 320 for $3,250! 105k miles, the M112 V6 “bulletproof” engine is running good, no major issues, came with a folder full of maintenance records from when it was new. Main reason it was so cheap was the hail damage (still a clean title) but it doesn’t bother me and looks fine from 10ft away.
Love it so far. It has such smooth, confident acceleration that just keeps going and going
Leagues ahead of all the other cars in this price range i’d looked at so far.
We have a ‘98 Camry and a ‘97 4runner, but I was itching for a cheap and fun third car.

I’m bummed that I can’t enjoy nicotine once in a while anymore…
I’ve been on the 300 XL for over a year now, when I started it basically made nicotine feel like absolutely nothing anymore (I know this drug can also be used just for quitting). I was using pouches at the time and stopped because I was just buying expensive pouches that did nothing anyway… i’ve started having way more caffeine since then as a sort of replacement but now even caffeine feels like it does nothing, I just get a headache when I don’t have it lol.
I don’t plan on ever developing the daily habit again (even before this I’d only do it intermittently) but damn, I just want to steal a few rips off my brothers vape when we hang out, have a cig with my beer in japan, a cigar with a family member, etc. and actually enjoy a little buzz from it, ya know?
Most of you probably aren’t gonna understand how I can feel this way about it, or you’ll just call me an addict probably lol.
Life’s too short, and full of stress and boredom, and rules and a list of things that are bad for you… I just want something to take the edge off sometimes, especially cigs because i know i shouldn’t be doing it and it reminds me of when i was a delinquent teenager and nothing matches that feeling anymore… I miss that.

Anyone know what this noise is?
It sounds like coins vibrating in a cup holder. Coming from front drivers side i think but it could be either side, or the engine bay. Only starts happening above 30mph or so. Doesn’t change pitch with speed, and doesn’t change at all with brake application. Seems to have slowly gotten more frequent over the past few thousand miles, it used to only happen here and there for a second or two. V6 4x4 if that matters.
