Is it bad taste to advertise my baby's blessing on instagram and facebook?

Wife and I are both converts and sometimes we're ignorant of the customs.

Has anyone obtained a Haitian Birth Certificate from the Haitian Embassy in Washington, D.C. for a child born in the United States to Haitian parent(s)? We are trying to do this now and wondering what kind of time frame to expect.

I'm tired of pretending that it isn't. I get that the church put a lot of work and a lot of thought into it, but they took the exact wrong direction with it. They really just needed to simplify the old hymnbook, remove the hymns that people don't know, and maybe add a dozen or so glaring omissions. Instead we have all these new hymns that nobody likes that are way too complicated that the congregation pretends to sing awkwardly for five minutes.

What good is this doing anyone? They need to admit it was a mistake and try again.

what issue caused you to leave? if it was multiple, what were the top three? what, if anything, could have made you stay?

So first, I want to post an update. I asked a few months ago on this sub if my wife, who came under the Biden program but now has a green card, could cross the Canadian border. well, she did cross the Canadian border and return to the US without issue.

So the next thing is we would like for her mother to visit us for a few months for the upcoming birth of our child. we will be able to pay for her travel and she will stay with us during. it seems that this is theoretically possible with a B2 visa, but obtaining that visa would be difficult because the US consulate in Port-Au-Prince has suspended nonimmigrant visa services. The US has assigned the embassy in Nassau, Bahamas to process visas for Haitians, which of course begs the question how the hell are we supposed to get her to Bahamas?

it seems that this process is a giant circle that is impossible to complete, probably intentionally so. is there anything we can do, and where should we start?

I am from NY and the drivers there are too aggressive — to the point where they drive unnecessarily dangerously.

I live in UT which has the opposite problem — people are too cautious which actually circles back around to being dangerous because they try things like merging onto the freeway going 30 mph.

But I am visiting Montreal and the drivers here are perfect at keeping things moving and cooperating. For example, I always *want* to zipper merge, but zipper merging requires cooperation because if people start merging early, it can’t work. it’s the classic prisoners dilemma.

imagine my surprise today when I was in Montreal and 3 lanes were merging down to 2 and the three cars in front of me all zipper merged flawlessly. I was so happy.

My wife will be eligible for citizenship next year and would like to file for immigrant visas for her mother and minor brother. But everything I’m reading is telling me she has to apply separately for each of them — and her mother obviously would not be able to come without bringing her minor child with her. Is there any way to apply for both of them together?

is it known why she doesn’t want to record a new album? it genuinely makes me sad that we haven’t gotten anything new from her in over ten years.

I really loved the way everything ended, except >!when Tasha said that because Dre died, she needed to find somebody else to take the fall for killing Ghost. Huh? Why would it matter that Dre died? What does one thing have to do with the other? This was a huge plot hole that really felt tacked on to an otherwise-glorious finale. !<

>!I am a first time watcher. Dre has evaded death so many times I've lost track of them. He's always so smooth, so able to adapt. I just watched the episode where he finally, finally meets his maker. What an awesome death scene. What an amazing episode. The thing is, I really wanted Dre to die because I never forgave him for killing Donovan. There was no reason for him to kill Donovan, that was honestly just cruel. But in Dre's final episode they really made me root for him. He almost made it out. And even after everything he did, they managed to make me root for him at the last possible minute. That's great writing. !<
