Should I add more pieces on the wall? My goal is gallery-like vibes.

I’ve been curating art pieces over time. I just moved to this new space and there is more wall to cover than art pieces I possess.

I am thinking of adding more or maybe some shelving? Idk. I also want to get a bigger T.V maybe a samsung frame or hissense canvas but also want like a rolling stand T.V. I can’t decide.

Any feedback on the wall, and overall space is welcome. Thanks for looking

Spent a couple of days at RMNP

Camped at RMNP for a couple of days, specifically at Moraine Park Campground. The campsite was a walk in site that had plenty of shade and had a nice view of Long’s Peak.

Woke up early one of the mornings and hiked Sky Pond via Glacier Gorge Trail. Managed to catch sunrise at the Loch and hit Lake of Glass and Sky Pond just after 6:00am. Took a nap and hiked back.

The campground reservation got us into the bear lake corridor. Managed to hit some lakes that are not pictured as well.

Will definitely be back

Casually letting me know they have a child

Edit: Thank you for the support. I sent her the message!

Edit 2: She already responded! She said she appreciated the message and she wished me luck!

Hi, I’m 33M and matched with a 30F last week. We haven’t been on a date but are planning to but then she casually drops an info that she has a 5 year old daughter.

Though I appreciate her being transparent with it, I don’t see myself wanting kids so a kid is a dealbreaker for me. I feel as though just completely not responding and ghosting is not right so I want to send something like:

“Hey I’ve genuinely enjoyed talking to you! I want to be honest that I don’t see children or a parental role in my future, so I don’t think we’re the right match romantically. You seem genuinely lovely, and I didn’t want to disappear or waste your time”

Is this too harsh?

33M just moved in. Any first floor living tips? First time here

I just moved in to a new apartment. Still has boxes to unpack, and art pieces to hang.

This is my first time living on a ground floor, eye level with the street. The alley is well trafficked, it’s amazing and the alley is next to a park. It feels alive! But I also understand how it can be a challenge being on the ground level.

I’m trying to invest into more security, like maybe a camera, or some type of double lock. Any other tips?

Is Timber Top in Big Sur a good first time backpacking location?

I have never backpacked before, but I’ve always wanted to get into it. I am slowly acquiring backpacking equipments these past couple months. I am not a stranger to camping, but I’ve only camped at campgrounds or in a car at a dispersed camping/BLM locations. I know backpacking is a completely different beast and I want to start dipping my toes and getting them wet.

I wanted to try Timber Top because my mom lives in the Bay Area. I have been to Big Sur many times, though I live in Missouri now. I have camped at Big Sur before but I’ve camped on the west side of HWY 1, at Kirk Creek Campground.

I want my first solo backpacking trip to be one night, and something short like 3-5 miles in and 3-5 miles back. As far as hiking shape, I’ve completed day hikes as long as 12 miles, 10 miles, etc. I also have hikes in elevation before and no stranger to steep hiking. On top of that, I am a runner and I boulder as well.

I enjoy my life right now but I feel like there are still pieces missing, I just have an itch that I am needing to scratch and I feel like backpacking might be that.

I am not locked in on Timber Top so if you all have any beginner friendly sites near the Bay Area, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you and I hope this is not a dumb question.

Caught the sunrise at The Loch otw to Sky Pond (RMNP).

Started the hike at 4:00 am and made it to Loch Vale just enough to capture this beautiful moment. I eventually made it to Sky Pond just after 6:00am.

Question about Moraine Campground at RMNP

Hello, I have a question regarding the campground at RMNP.

I have a reservation at Moraine Campground but it’s located inside Bear Lake Rd. Will I still need a timed entry or the physical reservation confirmation will suffice with the park rangers?

Thank you.

Am I overreacting to her communication before her trip?

I (33M) have been dating (36F) for about three months now. We have generally been very consistent and have a good connection. But that changed last week.

The last time we saw each other was 11 days ago. She is about to leave for a 10-day international trip tomorrow. I explicitly told her that I wanted to see her before she left. She was the one who initiated options, suggesting that sometime last week, this past weekend or Monday night might work best for her packing schedule. Her job works on deadlines and she wanted to finish a lot of deadlines as well before she leaves for her trip. I kept my schedule completely flexible to accommodate her. My job allows me to basically have free summer.

However, once the weekend hit, she went completely radio silent on the plans. She didn't communicate that she was too busy or that the plans were off, despite me checking in. This morning, she finally texted saying she realizes she won't have time to hang before she leaves, but that we should "plan something for when she's back." Because of this, it will be more than 20 days total since our last date.

My philosophy is that the longer you get to know someone, the frequency of dates should naturally increase as the relationship grows. Right now, it feels like the exact opposite is happening. I feel like no one is truly so busy that they can't squeeze in a brief window of time to see someone they care about before a long trip.

If you are about to go on a long trip? Would you try and put in time to see a person you are seeing? Even for a bit? Especially when you haven’t seen each other for over 10 days? She also asked me if I can come to her place and take care of her cats, and I’m completely left on blank because she never mentioned it anymore or told me the logistics. It’s like a complete 180.

My conflict: I feel frustrated and unimportant because she explicitly offered the days, knew I wanted to see her, and then the communication broke down entirely. I feel like she didn't respect my time or the plans she proposed.

My question: Am I overreacting by feeling this frustrated? Is it fair to expect better communication and effort here, or am I being too rigid given she is stressed about an upcoming international trip? I am seriously thinking about ending things here but I wanted to consider her flight and travel.

What is my best move here before her flight?

  1. Call out the breakdown in communication now via text before she boards the plane so she knows where I stand, but tell her to just focus on her trip?
  2. Just end things completely before her flight because this behavior feels like a major red flag/dealbreaker?
