‘Bigger and better than ever’: how Durham Pride beat Reform’s funding axe with help from the miners

This is how we win. As part of the LGBTIQA+ community we have to keep on fighting pushing striving to be better.

As this happens we can win the hearts and minds of real people. As the government tried to crush our pride Miners remembering 40 years ago how our queer past raised money and supported them showed up and made sure that the community knows the bond is still alive.

I know it's hard especially in nations the the US and UK where the government has started to turn on us.

Yet stay strong we'll pull through together!

When you can't tell what's real or AI anymore.

I sometimes ponder on the dead Internet theory like who is real.

Being a mod we. Often get some pretty bizarre posts / comments and I am like I wonder if it's even a person.

I think I have gotten more chill overtime because I developed more grace that a post might be a bot or a person using a bot to translate there language into English thus it was probably filled with translation issues.

I am not a cake or buttons but a person. 🍰

Androgen Insensitivity comes in grades.

Also there are almost no absolutes: anyone who says CAIS ends in a blind pouch is wrong about 1/3 have uteruses due to many also having persistent mullerian ducts.

Anyone who says AIS is normally raised female or male is also wrong beyond the grading scales there are family pressures surgical pressure from the doctor's and of course what is easiest to do based on the initial birth presentation which may not always line up with the internal structure.

Thus you cannot say for sure. The Intersex view is so long as it isn't a threat to life or whatever they have can pee safely then no operation should be done until the child can consent.

Also in best practices probably wanna raise the child gender neutral so that way they guide the process of showing and finding who they are rather then ascribing a role to them

This reddit welcomes you!

Allies are welcome as well - We only ask this: if you know you are not intersex, don’t pretend to be, and don’t ask permission to claim an experience that isn’t yours. That is deeply offensive.

Most people know it is wrong to pretend to be a race you are not. This is no different. Intersex people like myself are born with these traits, and many face family and medical experiences from birth, including nonconsensual surgeries and various disabilities as a result.

When people speak over us, they misinform others and create false narratives. If you want intersex voices, let us speak for ourselves.
