I Just Completed a 25 card Hayley Williams deck. Now what do I do? I'm

I'm bringing booster packs to trade at the upcoming shows on:

10/10/2026 - New Orleans, LA

10/12/2026 - Southaven, MS

01/13/2027 - Mexico City, MX

01/15/2027 - Monterrey, MX

If you're interested and won't be at those dates I am also making them available online at my site, HAKO.CARDS, as discounted booster packs or singles. There are secret cards not pictured here that will only be available in the booster packs.

I've been drawing this deck since May. All cards are drawn by me in Clip Studio Paint and are completely AI free. They are printed at home on a eufy make e1 UV printer using real black core holographic cardstock. The holos even have gloss texture layers like real Pokemon SIRs.

Everything is limited edition and has a finite print run. If you like ripping packs or collecting cards and love Hayley, I made these for you 💗

If you have any questions about the process feel free to ask! See y'all at the shows next week

No THWS gig poster? No problem!

I was pretty bummed to hear there are no gig/tour posters available in merch this tour, as that's typically the item I gravitate towards. Instead, I'll have to settle for this poster I made instead. It's just a spark, but it's enough...

The next two Hayley fan art cards I am drawing

My original post was deleted as soon as it was posted, not sure why.

Still plugging away on my 25 card trading deck for the upcoming tour (16 cards done so far)!

I'll be at 4 stops handing out blind packs, and there will be holo and normal variants of each card. I'll be at: New Orleans (10/10), Southaven (10/12), Mexico City (1/13) and Monterrey (1/15).

I'm getting a kick out of the current pair I'm working on - not connecting art, but definitely 'siblings' borrowing some inspo from Lichtenstein and our girl Megan. LMK what you think! :)

A Phoebe Bridgers x Hylda Proxy I Made

Based on a still from her 'Lost Boys' music video. This is my first MTG proxy, made on request, but it has definitely piqued my interest in making more. I love the layouts and frame designs.

Help cutting clear acrylic for an art project

Hi there!

Is there anyone in the area that can cut clear acrylic (1/8" thick)? I have a 12x16" slab that needs about .5 cm removed from each side to fit into a frame. It's too thin to try the score and snap (I think). I can pay for your time/effort.

Thanks :)

Feeling Inspired on this LOST WEEKEND 🛸

How is everybody spending their LOST WEEKEND?

I've been listening to the album back to back to back to back...and I can't get over it. It's a work of art from start to finish, and I've never been happier to have hi-fi equipment and no shared walls. Let's just say it's been a loud 24 hours in this house.

I've also felt super inspired by some of the songs, specifically I Can't Wait and Lost Weekend. Maybe it's recency bias, maybe I'm just a stan, but this album feels extra special. To celebrate it (and continue any excuse to study photos of Phoebe) I made a Lost Weekend release date trading card. Leaning into the broken transmissions, liminal space, spooky tech vibes of the album aesthetics, I decided to use a warped DOS motif and also printed on a special sine wave holofoil pattern.

I would love to know what you think of it - I'd also love to see any art or crafts that PB3 has inspired you to make this weekend, so if you have photos to share please post a comment with them!

Phoebe Bridgers Planetarium Night

For anybody heading to the listening party tonight who may also like fan art and unofficial merch - I have made custom trading cards to give out commemorating the evening and hope to have at least 25-30 copies on me. I'll be hopping in line around 6-6:15. Average height white dude with a beard and a snake tattoo on my forearm. Find me if you'd like one!

A Wishful Little Gengar

Gengar's story in 'A Chilling Curse!' always gets me. I decided to make a card about it.

This is also the first card to use some of the new patterns I've added to my EZ Texture Mapping tool over at hako.cards - it now supports clover, heart, fish scale, cracked ice voronoi, and topo patterns.

Give it a whirl and let me know what you think! If you end up printing cards with texture from the tool I would love to see them!

(card process same as other posts: drawn in Clip Studio, UV printed on a eufymake e1. Holo paper is from ProxyJak, texture tool is from my website 😁)

Static Jolteon ex

Drawn in Clip Studio Paint

UV print on rainbow holo, one pass each of white/cmyk/gloss.

Texture was created on the ex texture mapping tool I built and host on my website.

I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Minimum print line width?

I print custom trading cards and add a clear guilloche texture to make them similar to the rare Pokemon SIR cards.

Does anybody know what the minimum line weight (px) is for the printer? I typically export and print at 1200DPI. I'm aiming for the thinnest, perceptible line possible.

Example:

[Other] My first lenticular card design - Jimothy!

I created my first lenticular card today. It definitely involved some extra effort, but overall I'm happy with the result.

I started by drawing a full background scene in clip studio paint, then I drew two separate illustrations of Jimothy, pose A and pose B.

I uploaded those into a tool found here: https://kermit-r-wood.github.io/lenticular-uv-printing/ and plugged in the specs of the lenticular sheets I bought.

Then I used my eufymake UV printer to mirror print the image onto the smooth backside of the lenticular sheet. I used camera alignment mode with the print bed to make sure the lenticular image was lined up precisely with the ribbing on the sheet itself. I printed in reverse order, CMYK>White, and then a CMYK card back. Finally I trimmed and rounded the corners. This is the result:

Brock's Scalping

I saw the new Chinese exclusive SAR of Brock's Scouting and knew it was going to be out of my price range, so I had fun making this instead. Clip Studio Paint, eufymake e1, diagonal twill holo cardstock. I've been using halftone brushes from true grit supply and finally found the one that works best for semi opaque holo masking.

My first stab at a texture mapping tool

If you're like me and LOATHE the step that includes designing a vector file for your texture layer, I have exciting news for you! I took a stab at creating a more user-friendly approach meant to shave the time off of the texture map step without sacrificing the ability to get creative with it. The result: my 'EZ Texture Mapper'.

  • How it works: Upload a flat png into the tool.
    • Your CMYK layer typically works best, but if you have a greyscale alpha channel export that works great too.
  • Adjust sensitivity sliders to your liking and then hit 'Segment Image.'
    • The tool will create selectable segments of the image based on edge detection and color grouping.
    • When you select a section you can also use a magnetic lasso tool to add in anything that needs to be included.
    • Holding shift while clicking will also add to your current selection. Clicking on it again will deselect.
  • You can choose to fill in your selection(s) with patterns including concentric circles, wave lines, and straight lines.
    • You can also select line weight and space between each line, as well as angle. Then you can fill your selected area(s) in one click.
  • When you have the texturing to your liking you can export the entire image as a vector file for use back in your image software of choice.

The tool is by no means perfect, but it's definitely a lot easier to mess around with than trying to learn Inkscape, Illustrator, etc.

If you use the tool and have any feedback please don't hesitate to DM or comment here with it! If there are other patterns or features you'd like to see I'm happy to try any incorporate them and improve the tool. I hope it's useful for you and restores some of the fun in making cards (no shade to people who enjoy doing their own textures, it's just not my favorite part of the process).

If you post any work here that used my tool please tag me so I don't miss it! I would love to see how you use the tool on your own work :)

I built an alternative to Proxxied

Hey friends! I've recently made the transition to using a Eufymake e1 UV printer, which came with its own learning curve. My main struggle has been getting front and back duplex prints to align well. Proxxied is an awesome tool that helps squash that, but their tool doesn't support saving transparency - which is crucial if you're using a printer that uses an alpha channel for printing (especially on white and gloss layers, where it sees both white and black as areas that receive ink).

This morning I made a simple print tool that will align your front and back, as well as support multiple uploads for white/cmyk/varnish layers. It supports bleed, nudging, and most importantly will export your printsheets with retained transparency for .png files. It's working really well for my use case - printing on either 8.5x11 or 10x13" sheets. I figured I'd share here in case anyone else is in a similar boat.

I'm definitely open to suggestions for improvement as well! If you take it for a spin and have feedback, or even just enjoyed using it, please let me know.

My latest HW trading card design

I'm almost halfway through the 25 card designs I am making in anticipation of The Hayley Williams Show tour.

Details: jumping out of a plane over Rio, wearing a fit from the last round of Eras shows from the last Paramore tour in 2024. (Side note: if anyone has a size XL 'Feel the Present' eras tour jacket I would love to buy it from you).

Sticky Mat Alternatives?

Hey all! I primarily print custom trading cards on sheets of holofoil cardstock that typically measure either 8.5x11" or 10x13". Unfortunately not all sheets are perfectly flat, especially after the color layer. Right now I'm relying on the stock sticky mat and blue painter's tape to keep the sheet flat while printing, but I was wondering if there is an alternative that may be better.

I have a Samcraft Fatmat, but unfortunately the silicone doesn't do much in the way of gripping or holding down the cardstock. The OEM sticky mat is too sticky when it's new, but then eventually passes the sweet spot and becomes not sticky enough. My friend suggested a very over-engineered 'vaccum' tray to print on. Surely there is something between the stock option and fabricating my own specialty bed, right?

Open to any suggestions! For now I'm just using a used e1 mat that has lost most of its stickiness.

I've Been Busy (HW TCG update)

I've done 6 of the 25 designs so far, with holo and normal variants for most. I also designed my first card wrapper ever, so I can assemble blind packs like other TCGs. Looking forward to seeding these out when they are complete.

How-to do Custom Texture Maps?

Hi all! I'm learning how to do texture maps and can currently use Inkscape to create concentric circles, but I'm struggling to teach myself how to make texture maps more influenced by the art on the card.

I'm hoping the pros in this sub wouldn't mind pointing me toward a useful tutorial (or sharing your own process).

Thank you!

[Other] Hayley Williams tour cards

I just finished my first print run of custom fan art trading cards I am designing for upcoming stops on Hayley Williams' tour.

Process: I draw the color designs and create white holo mask layers in Clip Studio Paint, create concentric circle texture vectors in Inkscape, and then print all three layers one pass at a time with a UV printer (eufymake e1) onto 10*13 custom holo cardstock I buy from Etsy. I slice it on a rotatrim cutter and use a corner punch to round the edges.

E1 settings: high quality, 1 pass each for white, cmyk, and gloss. Gloss on flat print.

I have designed 6 cards already, and plan to do at least 25. Once they are all designed and printed I will order some custom mylar foil packs and sort them into packs so they can be traded and distributed as blind items like real card packs.
