I’m so upset, and not because of the attack, but because of how they handled the situation. Today I was walking my 6.5 month old husky puppy, when I encountered my neighbors (who happen to be friends with my parents) and their 2 poodle mix dogs (idk what kinda doodle but definitely doodles) who she has interacted with before. Everything was fine at first & my girl laid down on her back exposing her belly, submitting to them, when one of them decided to attack my dog in the face. Thankfully she has sustained no injuries & is ok, but they didn’t apologize or say anything. They didn’t recall their dog, they didn’t apologize or check to see if she or I were okay, they just stood there. I ended up just walking off after saying shes overwhelmed and we’re going to go, and again nothing. They just continued their conversation with whatever neighbor they were talking to. I’m just so annoyed because I wish I could have stood up for my dog, said something, or just experienced a little more grace from there end. I know they don’t have to say anything, but should you not? If my dog attacked another dog I would be doing whatever I could to help the aftermath of the situation, meanwhile they kinda stood there. They also did not correct their dog, call him back, or anything. I’m just so angry. That’s all. Thank God Peach is ok tho!
