Is there a source to help me distinguish between the PALM and TRAP/FACE sets in British English?

Is there a source to help me distinguish between the PALM and TRAP/FACE sets in British English?

I’m working on distinguishing the sets in spelling, and am alrædy familiar with American English. Generally my guide has been this very helpful book on lexical sets published by eCampusOntario, but for this set specifically they basically say you’re on your own in terms of regionality, since it’s so varied.

J. C. Well’s original sets specify examples, but so far it’s been hard for me to find a reliable database to distinguish between the American standards I alrædy know, and the Brittish ones- if all else fails, I can rely on the Cambridge Dictionary, it’s just tedious to go through it for every individual wo̊rd for a database.

Anybody want cheap tickets for the Puyallap fair?

I got some tickets (24 tickets for $30) that I did not end up using at the fair, as I had to leave early and they were nonrefundable. If anybody would like them for $15 let me know and I can DM you :)

My favorite product has been discontinued :’((

I need some advice! I was previously using Giovanni Purifying Facial Mask (ingredients attached here).

This was the only clay mask I’ve been able to find that seems to work for my skin. I like that it hydrates my face and makes it feel smooth without being greasy like most products do, and has a cooling effect as well (less important).

Other bougier ones I have tried like the Icelandic Blue Lagoon mask just seem to be clay, and will make my skin very dry. This one was about $12 a pop but I can’t find anything similar on my own- I’m willing to spend $20-30; but I can’t do that on a ton of products if I don’t have leads.

If it helps at all I tend to use the Beekman 1802 milk scrub before, and that is nice on my skin and they’ve always gone very well together.

TL; DR all good things must end and my favorite product has been discontinued. Need one that matches my (skin type?)

Any odd jobs Aug 17th-31st?

My cat and I just moved here, and I started a job in education. It’s been lovely except for all the unpayed time off!

Does anyone have any odd work to support an educator late August? I’m happy with different kinds; I prefer housework but am trained academically and also in healthcare (I have been a CNA and am happy to visit homes to help out/do housework).

Question about dubbling l’s in English

I am doing a book on spelling reform. I’ve been able to find a lot of evidence on Noah Webster’s influence on American spelling, including his impact on education and his support of -or and -er spellings over the variant -our and -re’s which were interchangeable at the time. However, I am having a hard time tracking down any evidence he made an impact on our spellings with dubbled l’s- is anybody able to explain why that convention changed particularly?

Any odd jobs this Thursday?

My cat and I are about to move- I’m currently between jobs until the 6th of July, and money is a bit tight in the meantime. I have some emergency savings, but I’m hoping not to need it.

Does anyone have any odd jobs they need done, maybe for $50/$100 depending on workload? I’m happy with different kinds of work; I prefer housework but am trained academically (have been a tutor), healthcare (been a CNA and am happy to visit homes for miscellaneous chores/tasks). Any takers? I’m free this Thursday, or the 24th-26th.

Help understanding some common Brittish splits/mergers

I’m an American writing a book on English orthography, and some of the transcriptions for Brittish are pretty easy to determine (the marry-merry-Mary distinction for example because of the spellings). But the hurry-furry distinction is a tough one for me. Are there any other examples of this distinction? And which one is uh-rry while the other is urry?

Any odd jobs the 12th-24th?

Hello there, I am going to be between jobs until the 6th of June for a move, and money is a bit tight in the meantime for my cat and I. I have some emergency savings, but I’m looking to make a few dollars and hopefully not need that.

Are there any odd jobs anyone can recommend, maybe for $50/$100 apiece? I’m happy with different kinds of work but am taller so good at moving/lifting within reason. I’m also trained academically (have been a tutor), healthcare (been a CNA and am happy to visit homes to help around). Any suggestions?

Any songs like Digging For Windows by Zack de la Rocha?

I absolutely love this song so much I try not to listen to it not to wær it out. I looked through his discography and nothing comes close! The producer has some good songs (VIVID and J’OUVERT by Brockhampton), but nothing I’d call the same feeling that Digging for Windows produces with that gritty hypnotizing aspect.

Recommendations for photographers that do pets?

I have a cat I adore and realized I don’t have any nicer photos of us together, and they can be harder to get in the home. Does anybody have recommendations for a person/place that might do it?

It doesn’t have to be super fancy; I’m just out of college so my budget is closer to $50-100; although I am flexible (I haven’t done this before so maybe it depends on time/how many photos I want, etc).
