Garmin user considering a switch ,why did you move to Suunto?

Hey all! I’m in the market for a new sports watch and seriously considering the Suunto Race 2. Currently torn between Garmin Forerunner 970 or jumping ship.

For context: I use a Polar H10 for chest strap HR during workouts and a Garmin Edge 1040 on the bike, so I’m not new to garmin, but new to sports watched , thought I’ve had an Apple Watch for a few years but they just suck at being sports watches and have sold it a few months ago. I’m big into body analysis and metrics and like digging into the numbers, not just glancing at a summary score.

For those who switched from Garmin to Suunto: what pushed you to make the move? Was it software, UX, battery life, something else? How does the Suunto app compare for analyzing training data in depth. does it hold up against Garmin Connect for someone who likes to dive into data.

Also curious about the app experience overall? I find Garmin’s Edge app genuinely frustrating for basic things like transferring or deleting routes, it’s way more clunky than it should be. Is the Suunto app noticeably better/more intuitive for managing routes and data, or similar pain points?

Would love to hear real experiences before I commit. Thanks!

Mismatched libido with my GF (25F)—amazing sex when it happens, but cycle of hot and cold is driving me crazy. Advice?

My GF (25F) and I (25M) have been together for about 6 months. Overall, things are insane, but our sex lives are becoming a major source of frustration for me.

I have a very high libido. Being around her gets me turned on almost instantly. She, on the other hand, seems to have a really unpredictable sex drive. When we do have sex(we usually have good sex when we are home alone), it is genuinely incredible, passionate, emotional, and we’re both totally into it. But the rest of the time, she seems almost completely asexual.

She literally goes through 1 week per month where she’s super horny and active, and then weeks where she has zero desire at all. We both still live with our parents, so private time is already somewhat limited, we have had sex when at my parents home as there is different floors, but she is always like shh shh, she really overthinks noises and that turns me off and I can’t have the sex that we would like, so we just end up touching our self’s, or most of the time I just touch myself not her.

I try to be super attentive and affectionate, giving her back scratches, cuddling, kissing. but whenever I try to gradually transition that into something sexual or move towards her core boundaries, she shuts it down or only lets me touch the outside. I’m trying not to be pushy because I love her and want her to feel comfortable, but the constant rejection is really starting to get to me and making me feel confused.

Is this kind of extreme hot-and-cold shift normal due to menstrual cycle hormones? Could living with parents be putting a total handbrake on her head? How do I talk to her about this without making her feel pressured or guilty?

Any advice from people who have been through similar dynamics would be appreciated.

Also, when we have sex, I can fuck for a good 15-20’ without cumming and it’s amazing sex, but she seems to really struggle to cum, we have tried many positions to stimulate the clitoris, but she really struggles, for the 6 months she has cummed with me inside just twice and she really wants it bad to happens more often and so do I. Any advice on this too?

Pd: it is my first relationship, and it is beautiful and we love each other a lot. I am very kind and caring as well as she is, we communicate everything and trust each other. I just don’t know how to speak of this…

3 weeks on NAC for skin picking disorder — my experience + looking for yours

So I’ve been taking NAC for around 3 weeks now. The main reason I started was after reading that it may help with skin picking disorder (excoriation disorder).

For context: I don’t have a severe case. I never hurt myself, but I pick at the first knuckle joints on two fingers, and it happens every single day because it genuinely feels good to do, even though I am unconsciously doing it. I’ve been doing it since I was 13 and I’m now 25, so I’m looking for a way to stop.

I’ve tried stress balls and similar alternatives, but they just don’t work for me practically. I’m not going to carry one around outside, and the urge isn’t situational enough for that to make sense anyway. One thing that has actually helped is hand moisturiser, it removes the texture that triggers the picking, but obviously it dries off. I also train 6x a week (CrossFit and road cycling), so my hands are constantly busy and tiring myself out regularly which helps a bit, but clearly not enough.

AI: “NAC modulates glutamate, a neurotransmitter involved in impulse control and compulsive urges. Skin picking is thought to share more with addictive behaviors than classic OCD, and NAC seems to work by helping the brain resist those urges. In a 12-week placebo-controlled trial of 66 adults, those taking NAC saw a 38% reduction in symptoms vs 19% for placebo, and 47% showed significant clinical improvement vs 19% on placebo.”

I’ve been taking 2 x 500mg daily after breakfast (1,000mg total) and so far haven’t noticed any effects, positive or negative. Given that the trial used 1,200–3,000mg, I’m considering bumping up to 1,500mg or 2,000mg. I’m 25, 193cm (6’3”) and 87.5kg, so I feel there’s room to increase.

Has anyone here dealt with skin picking disorder firsthand? Whether you’re currently dealing with it, have recovered, or have experience with NAC specifically I’d love to hear from you.

(MemTest86) What does this mean? Is it a CPU or RAM problem. What needs changing?

I just built my first PC and after installing and updating everything it seems like it would consitantly boot me out games for some weird erros so I did some diggin and came across this software to test but I am unsure if it is my CPU or RAM which is faulty.
