Potty training going well, how can I have him tell me he has to go?

Potty training with my 16 week old Chihuahua mix has been going pretty well. We’re way down on accidents inside the house. I take him out frequently throughout the day, every few hours and immediately after eating. He knows that once we’re outside it’s business time, no dilly dallying which is awesome.

But he has yet to tell me once that he needs to go of his own volition. Which is a lot to expect of a baby, I know. So sometimes, albeit rarer now, even if we just went out a bit ago, he’ll squat down to pee right in front of me on the carpet apropos of nothing.

I’ve heard good things of using a bell system, so we’ve started that a few days ago, but how do you personally go about teaching that? Is there another way I can start to have him give me some notice? Or will that simply come with time? Much thanks.

I’ll probs get a DNA test soon but maybe you can help me figure out Percy

adopted Mr Man here from a shelter, he’s 12 weeks rn (first pic) and 7ish pounds, and we got him at 9 weeks (last pic). We were told dachshund/beagle but the more he grows the less I see it?? I see the weenie body sometimes but he’s got a funky face. Maybe some min-pin? Some wawa? Let me know ur thoughts on Percival!

adopted mr man from a shelter, supposedly a Dachshund/Beagle! first pic is him at 9 weeks and the second is most recent at 12 weeks (he’s growing so fast in my eyes hehe). I used to see the dachshund way more a few weeks ago, esp in his body, but now I’m not so sure! I’ve heard min-pin maybe, perhaps some wawa. I’ll def get an embark just for fun, but lmk if you have any novel ideas for Percival here. swipe for snoz

MtG puppy name ideas!!!

this has probably been asked before. my partner and I are hopefully welcoming home a rescue dog pretty soon (likely a weenie mix), and we’d love to have the name be some secretly nerdy shit.

my only stipulations are that I would prefer the name be two syllables (leads to better recall imo) and something not entirely bonkers or super obviously magic related.

Rhys (like [[Rhys the Redeemed]] or short for [[rhystic study]] ofc) is cute, but maybe too short. would love to hear some suggestions! throw em my way 🤲

Amazon isn’t showing my cover?

It’s everywhere else! It appears fine on Walmart, B&N, Bookshop, etc. I published through IngramSpark about a month ago and I just direct people to Not Amazon when I can, but this is frustrating to me.

AND the kindle version on Amazon has its cover just fine too! There are two formats of the same product, only one of them has the picture. If you toggle to paperback, the cover says Image Not Available.

I went through KDP for ebook as well as IS, but only IS for paperback. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how can I fix??

Be late on your own time, not for a guided bus tour! For every day!

My partner and I are on a lovely 3-day guided bus tour while traveling abroad and it’s been amazing checking out the scenery, but in our group of 30, there’s one small group that keeps grinding my gears.

On day one we were supposed to leave sharply at 8:30 am, as check in closes at 8:15. These people called the tour guide to say they’ll be just a minute late if we could wait up for them. We do, and at 8:45, they come running up.

So we’re already behind schedule, but whatever. But then we start taking stops at scenic overlooks and little villages, the tour guide will say to come back in exactly 20 minutes so we can stay on schedule. And this one group is late to the bus AGAIN. This happens at. Every. Excursion.

The rest of our group will be back on the bus, ready to leave, and we will watch this one group MEANDER back in the distance when we’re already minutes past the time we were told. And we fall further and further behind schedule.

I don’t understand the lack of wherewithal to just ignore the time the tour guide says! They must know by now that we’re not going to leave without them, so there’s no rush, clearly. But shouldn’t one have a healthy dose of fear of getting left behind in a remote part of an unfamiliar country????

The tour guide also admitted we couldn’t get to some extra stuff he had planned because our schedule changed so much, and the rest of the group was super disappointed. I can understand lateness sometimes, but this was crazyyyyy to me.

My book’s publication date was yesterday 5/1, and I had a couple preorders through Amazon from friends that then got their books early! 4/29 and 4/30 they received their copies, which was exciting.

However, now that the pub date has passed, people ordering from Amazon are showing me that their order is slated to arrive months from now? Expected delivery is in September or even November. What the actual helly is going on. I advised them to maybe contact Amazon support or cancel their order and go through another site, but have any of you run into this?

Is the prediction simply wrong? Because there’s no way it takes that long to print and ship, because they were obviously able to do it in a timely fashion before! What can I do?
