Online school..

Hello! I'm a homeschooled sophomore. I'm currently- and intend to keep doing- an accredited online private high school. Is this a problem? I'm taking APs and Honors, not just regular courses. The school has been around for a long time and is run by k12 (yes I know) so I figure colleges will know it's legit.

I'm also planning on taking dual enrollment courses, ap exams, and some courses through my local high school. I just wanted to know if y'all think this will be a problem for colleges? Like if theyll think I'm not legit.

For reference I'm thinking about virginia tech, umd college park, UMass Amherst, Rutgers, uva, maybe cornell (and some other schools, and yeah I know that's quite a mix haha)

Imposter syndrome, DAE?

Since I was nine ( 15 now- for the past six years then ) I've had pain in my neck/back, legs, and shoulders & arms that ranges from mild to moderate. Doctors can't seem to find the cause, as bloodwork is normal, etc, and I feel like my chronic pain isnt "real" compared to other's because I can still function- I go for regular walks, play with my dogs, I ride horses and work at a barn.

Yet also sometimes even getting out of bed is a nightmare, sometimes I dont have energy or motivation because of the pain, and it makes my mood worse, too. But I still feel like it's "not real" or "valid", does anyone else relate?

Oddly quiet?

Hello everyone! I'm the host & main fronter of my system. I've only ever lurked here before, but I have a question now and wonder if any other systems can relate or have experienced this!

For the past week, its been oddly silent. Usually my headmates and I talk, have good communication, they'll chime in randomly. Now I can only really hear and speak to one? The rest of them are still there I think, just feels more distant. Headspace feels more distant as well, though I can still "be" there.

Anyone experienced this, know how or why lol, etc? Im not used to it being this silent.

Toxic barn?? Or am I crazy?

I've been riding at this barn since I started riding- around five and a half years. It's a relatively small-medium barn, everyone is very friendly, and I've made plenty of good friends. But there's been some... incidents... recently where I'm starting to ask myself if maybe the barn owner ( who's also the head instructor ) is a bit toxic. Maybe I'm just too sensitive aha, yall let me know!

thing 1:

I'm a teenager who has been part leasing this one pony ( 13.2/3hh, my guess is 800-850 lb ) for a few years now. Me being a teenager is relevant because I was growing ( sadly not any more now, lol ). For reference I'm about 5'4 and 110 lb, which, as far as I know, does not make me too big for pony. Recently barn owner started saying things like "you're getting a bit big for her!" and telling me not to drop into the saddle on this one pony because its unfair to the pony's back, which I understand. I get into the saddle as gracefully and gently as I physically can and am able to. This has only started within the last few weeks, and its worth noting there are often heavier or taller people that ride this pony who dont mount notably more gracefully than I, and she does not say a word. It's starting to feel quite disparaging and making me not want to lease the pony any more, and I wonder if thats her goal.... but then say you dont want me to lease your horse any more, to my face.

thing 2:

The gossiping. Oh, the gossiping. And the problems with every one else.

For starters there's about 5-7 boarders and BO has a problem with every single one- some are warranted but I highly doubt they all are.

Secondly, one of the boarders ( who I am sort of friends with, and I work with her horse quite often ) has a.. special horse. So BO often talks to me and other teens, about sending her a 30 days notice. She hasn't done it yet lmao. I get that, if she thinks the horse is dangerous which it can be, but then maybe do it instead of talking to teenagers about it? One of the teens asked "well won't (boarder) stop teaching lessons for you then?" and she responded "No, she cant afford to and still afford to keep her horse" which also rubbed me the wrong way, I cant quite put my finger on it. BTW this was during my lesson ( tho I was taking a break ).

She also likes to talk about how that same boarder doesn't work her horse enough, and how the boarder claims she works her horse 3-4x a week but BO never sees it blah blah. I'd understand this if the horse calmed down the more you worked it but that doesn't seem to be the case. And also complain about how that same boarder doesn't have a saddle for her horse ( horse needs specific type and shr cant afford it rn ) and the horse will probably never be ridden again ( meanwhile she also says she won't use the horse in lessons ).

thing 3:

mildly entitled to my, and others time? I am part of tge working student program, i work a shift for lesson credit and sometimes pick up ones when I can, but when she cant find coverage for a shift she'll group text me and other people asking if we can do anything- no, I can't, i would have responded in our whatsapp chat if I could. Same when it comes to helping with birthday parties, trail rides, helping with the farrier. She wont do any of the work herself.

the flip side....

shes always been very kind to me and everyone ( outwardly i suppose ), takes great care of all horses in her care, great reputation, respects my training methods ( shes more traditional like clinton anderson style and I'm more modern lol ), takes us to events and shows even ones she didn't plan on going to, pays us fairly for working ( for 2 hrs of work or less i get $40 lesson credit), so I just dont know! Am I crazy? Sensitive? H e l p.

Partial success story - SP - however advice is appreciated!

edit: I say partial success story because I've done this before and I feel in the end with great self concept now.

Without making this extremely long, I was best friends with this guy, we then had an off and on relationship ( my own fault! ) I got him back after 7 months of NC ( law for the win! ) things were going GREAT until one day I spiraled and guess what I saw in the 3D? He broke up with me. I've been letting myself stew about it and now there's a 3P!

Let this be a cautionary tale... Just kidding.

Seriously though, I'm now truly embracing the law ( there's a 3p? No there isn't! ) and I do feel like it is done.

Like I said in title, advice is appreciated particularly on this:

  1. Fear it won't work- I'm aware its a limiting belief but I'm worried ill be like 80 and affirming "he loves me..." aha.
  2. Time and "waiting", again, limiting belief but I always get caught up in the "when?"

The Garden ( song )

I was listening to young the giant's new album, specifically the song "The Garden." And it reminded me so much of Crowley and Aziraphale! Someone with much more talent than me needs to make a fanvid to this aha.

This was the part that made me think of them the most...
"'Cause now we're forever, love We'll live and die together I'm not afraid 'Cause now we're forever, love I'll meet you in the garden Where it began I'll meet you in the garden Where it begins"

"Let's not and say we did"

I could be wrong about the exact wording, but in S3, in the bookshop when Crowley and aziraphale were discussing, didn't God say something to Satan like "let's not and say we did"? if so, does anyone have any idea if this means anything/what it means?
