First foray into plumbing… I’m tired lol

So much to do on this old house, so much jank plumbing I need to replace. But it’s working with no leaks so far! Love working with pex, I’m already planning on replacing everything with it.
First time I turned on water I was looking for leaks and a fitting behind me blew (old plumbing) so that turned into another project. Just need to finish strapping this all in… then fix that damn window lol edit; the down pipe after filter is for flushing filters into bucket, I’ll be tidying the drain and power hookup for water softener when I strap everything down

First roll of film in 25+ years, and the one i like most is blurry lol

I got a film camera (canonet ql17 giii) after 25+ years and did a “test roll” of fuji 400, most of them came out fine and confirmed the camera works. This was one of the last pics i took having lunch and it ended up being my favorite, warts and all. Now to get ore serious lol.

Very disappointed by 4K lotr trilogy, what’s the best version?

I got the 4K lotr trilogy and was very disappointed with what looks like upscaling and smoothing. What is the best version of the trilogy preferably in blu ray? A version with the grain etc?
I want a good copy of both the theatrical and extended versions for my collection.

New to me, Canonet ql17

Shooting my first test roll before sending off for CLA
It’s in superb shape, its last CLA was in 2008 but the iso lever is stuck, and I like my equipment completely functional. I always wanted to try a range finder and so far, it’s been a lot of fun! Hope the first roll comes out ok lol. I fell in love with the red leather :)

Storing exposed film before processing

Question, I am familiar with storing unexposed film in a refrigerator to preserve it if you are not using it for a while, but what about exposed film waiting processing? It’s been 30 years since I shot film and when I did I always processed shot film pretty much right away. But with the new realities of the market it may be up to 6 months before I send a batch of rolls in to be processed. Should I store it in fridge? Or am I overthinking this?

canon giii ql-17 question on battery requirements

Hello!
I’ve always been fascinated with rangefinder cameras and never had the pleasure to shoot with one so I found what looks like a very nice quality canon gii ql-17. However the seller said in the listing that a battery was required to operate the shutter:

“One thing the manual is not clear about however is that the shutter release is electronically controlled, so if there is no battery installed, or if a battery is dead, the shutter will not work.  At that point, the shutter release button can be “forced” to be depressed, but then the mechanism is broken, and will require repair.”

I have been unable to confirm this with searching, is this true?

Thank you shooters!

Fix scratches?

Got a nice drop leaf table from a thrift store with some damage, any tips on how to fix this? We are ok with diminishing the scratches so they aren’t so visible. Sand and stain?

Opportunity to get an enlarger, worth it? Beseler Model 23C Darkroom Enlarger

Opportunity to get this, it’s been in storage for 50 years. I don’t know much about these things, or what to even ask. I do plan on getting into medium format and 35mm photography, and did analog photography in the 90’s. Thanks much for any insight !
