Aya health is negligent, especially with immigration issues

I’m no from he US but had already obtained the correct visa, sponsored by the hospital, specifically for my year-long clinical education program. Additionally, I had completed all the Aya onboarding steps and paperwork. Then at 5:30 on a Friday, a week before my start date, an Aya employee very casually texted me saying my visa status was a problem and that I might need to leave the country and re-enter on a different visa.

There was almost no explanation, nobody available to help over the weekend, and the employee was then out on Monday. I’m certain they are mistaken, and I seem to be much more familiar with the visa processes then them, but it caused an enormous amount of stress over something as serious as my immigration status and ability to start my program. It’s now 3 days before my start date and they called to tell me about my benefits, and when I said they hadn’t even confirmed if i was employed they said “you can proceed as such for now, while we wait for legal” like what?!?

Even if there was a legitimate compliance issue, the way Aya communicated and handled it was shockingly careless. I would be very cautious using them for any placement involving visa or immigration issues if you can avoid it at all.

Need flute choosing advice!

I bought a Galeon Randall Irish flute, and I need to choose the specifics. They are offering three options. I've played an emerson professional flute (with a b foot) for the last ten years and I want something that will be an easier transition.
Offset Holes / Oval Emb., Inline Holes / Round-Rectangle Emb., Inline Holes / Oval Emb.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Need advice on which of these Galeon Rudalls Derlin flutes to choose, as someone classically trained.

I've played a emerson professional flute (with a b foot) for the last few years. I want something I can play in the forest :D. I just bought a Galeon Rudall, but I need to choose: Offset Holes / Oval Emb., Inline Holes / Round-Rectangle Emb. , Inline Holes / Oval Emb.

I want something that will be an easier transition. Thoughts? Thanks!

Genuine unsponsored praise for my new X-Lab sp5+

The bike has changed cycling for me, especially being in the bay area with all the hills. It’s so much fun to ride even when it’s off. Having the support on the big hills is huge, and then also having the throttle when I’m absolutely exhausted is amazing. And the fact that I can carry it at my apartment stairs myself means I don’t have to worry about it in the garage. I would never have been able to afford a comparable E bike before this model. HIGHHHLLLYYYY recommended. Do you think they would let me be a brand ambassador since my obsession is so genuine 🤔🤔🤔😻😻😻

Can't manage to get a referral despite so many classic symptoms for years. Any tips???

Hi all,

I’m trying to get a rheumatology referral and feel stuck.

I’ve had recurrent flares involving joint pain/swelling, including photos of sausage-like finger swelling/dactylitis. I also have small psoriasis-like patches on my elbows/scalp and (my biggest pain) recurrent SI/lower back pain that is worse at rest (which my PCP told me is 'normal' and typical).

I asked my PCP for a rheumatology referral - the first pcp wouldn't take them when i had a flare, so i found another pcp, when i didn't have a flare. The labs came back “reassuring”: normal ESR/CRP, negative RF/CCP/ANA, etc. Based on that, she said there are no concerning lab patterns to explain inflammatory/autoimmune arthritis and recommended monitoring.

It's been years of random swell-ups, massive SI pain, mysterious plantars-like foot pain - and I can't get help.

Has anyone dealt with this? What finally helped you get referred?

How do y'all handle the contradiction/paradox of Taurus North Node in the 8th?

I’m reading a chart with Taurus NN in the 8th / Scorpio SN in the 2nd, and I’m struggling on how to talk about it in a coherent way.

The movement is away from Scorpio/2nd crisis-survival and instability toward Taurus steadiness, embodiment, and material peace yet the NN sits in the 8th: transformation, dependence, shared resources, death, and mystery.

My read is that perhaps the task is to build Taurus stability inside 8th-house terrain, for ex to become materially and psychically grounded through death work, grief work, spiritual care, esoteric/religious scholarship, psychology, ancestral work, shared resources, or guiding others through transformation- etc etc - Not being endlessly transformed by the mysteries (anymore), but building a stable life in service to them.

Does that hold? How do you folks think about the contradiction (if you'd call it that)?
