I'm noticing that the vast majority of courses due to run in the Autumn 2026 semester do not have a syllabus attached to them. There are also several courses that were offered in Autumn 2025 that don't seem to be running this autumn...
Does anyone know if more courses will be added and if syllabi will be added before the registration period starts?
I notice that when I review Canvas materials from courses I previously took, they are updated or different from when the course was running.
I'm 99% confident course coordinators aren't going back and updating old shells. So how does it work exactly? Is there a shared bank of 'base' course materials that staff can upload that get reflected across all shells for that course?
Making this post as I am kind of at my wits end. Please be kind and constructive.
I have been playing this game on and off since 2017 with massive breaks in between as life got in the way and personal interest waned. I have always mained the support role and 99% of my game time is spent in 5v5 role-based comp.
I got back into the game a couple of months ago just as Season 1 was starting (prior to this I had stopped playing for several years) and was initially having a great time relearning the game.
My winrate was around 53-55% and I was maining Zen making slow but steady gains in Gold rank. My highest attained rank is Plat 5. During this time, I also fell in love with Lifeweaver and started maining him.
In the last 3-4 weeks, something has just gone terribly wrong. I now lose nearly every single game and have gone down to Silver 1 about to dip into Silver 2. This is actually placing a huge strain on my mental health and legitimately making me upset. I know it sounds so stupid to be upset over an imaginary rank for a video game, but for me it's not the rank but what it actually represents. It feels like I am mentally deficient or physically disabled to be experiencing this. To think that I've known this game for nearly 9 years and yet this is what I can achieve?
I don't think I deserve to be at a crazy high rank but I'm just hugely frustrated as to why I can't even maintain a 50% winrate. I genuinely believe that in most matches, I am playing fine. I try to keep my team alive while pressuring the enemy as best I can from a safe position. It feels like unless I am playing absolutely perfectly and literally single handedly carrying the team, I cannot win.
Nearly every single win is marked "Uphill Battle" and nearly every single loss is marked "Expected". I don't understand why I am being placed in these consistently unfair matches.
I know people will immediately say that it's my fault since I am the common factor in all these matches. I don't disagree to a certain extent, but at the same time, I don't understand why I am expected to carry the entire team as a support just to win.
I don't even know where to begin to start correcting this issue and I kind of just need some honest and helpful advice to turn things around.
For some reason, I absolutely adore them and thought they were the best thing to come out of the direct. It feels like Star Fox is a test case for this feature before they expand it to other games. I can think of a few games that could really work well with this feature:
Character avatars allow you to better express yourself and provide an incentive to mess around with the camera in a way that you can't with the current setup. I would much prefer to see my friend suffering as a Goomba making silly faces while losing in Mario Party than just the awkward 2D placard of their blurry face!
They could even make this the next level of NSO platinum points rewards where you could redeem your platinum points for a character avatar of your choosing.
