Level 0 Mistborn Tutorial One Shit

I was surprised how much I loved the First Step. I thought it would be a neat way to learn the character sheet, but it's honestly my favorite way to build a character now.

It was so cool to figure out what you wanted to play as you were presented with choices, and from the GMs side, it was a great intro into figuring out how to support your PCs.

I do try and keep on top of news, but I know I miss things. Does anyone know of there are plans to have a Mistborn equivalent to the First Step (level 0 character creation/tutorial). I'm specifically hoping for one that would lead naturally into Mistborn Legacy, but I'd be happy with anything.

I hope that all the worlds get one honestly, but that's really thinking ahead.

How to add a little bum to mushroom guy? Original pattern doesn't have one, but I found this one that did and I want to recreate it.

I love the mushroom guy by this person: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/ExitTheFall/mushroom-guy (photo 2)

Mushroom Guy with bum

Especially the little bum they added.

I was wondering how to recreate it. If anyone has a pattern or advice I'd appreciate it!

Original pattern is Mushroom Guy by Stephanie Buckner https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mushroom-guy-2, which, alas, is bumless

Dust jacket for TKWNKM

I'm not crazy, I swear, but I'm looking for just the dust jacket of This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me. The regular, light blue, US version. If someone doesn't use their dust jacket and is getting rid of it anyway, would you be willing to send it to me? Will of course cover shipping (US based).

Quick question for those who have received their packages

Did your Mistborn GM screen and dice ship in the same box as your books? I only received the books but wanted to check before panicking and reaching out to Brotherwise :)

I did definitely order them, I just double checked my survey.

I'm so sorry if they've already answered, I do try and stay abreast but I miss things sometimes.

Noodle dragon patterns

Hi! Two part question. I'm going to get a noodle dragon pattern. I love all of them and will likely get them all in time, but I have a question to help determine my first.

  1. Do all the noodle dragons (sitting, standing, perching, laying) have the same accents (wings, tails, face bits, ect), or do they each have their own unique extras?

  2. Which pattern would be the best to accompany a noodle dragon as a baby version? I see the infant, juvenile, and baby luck dragon patterns. I'm leaning baby luck dragon, but would appreciate the insight of others.

Thanks!

Which yarn fibre/type to use for a tote bag to make it durable?

I'm making this tote bag and it'll be my first functional object. My instinct is cotton, just because the more durable tote bags I own are made of cotton. But when doing research I saw a lot of options, including chord (which I haven't interacted with yet). https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sunflower-bloom-gradient-bag

So, pretending chost is no object (it is but it's a gift for a loved one and I don't want to be sensible), what material would you choose of durability was your first goal and structure/look was your second goal?

Thanks!

Stairs with railings

Thank you to u/Round_Sample4549 from this post! I was dying trying to figure out how to make railings for the stair cases, and I loved their solution.

Peakychu deserved to live with her charges, so I moved the charging station to her roof and make her and her charges homes in the same building.

I made an ice house for the water legendary pokemon, and a stairway to the fire temple.

Besides the Peakychu hose these are WIPs, but wanted to share my stair knowledge for others in the same situation.

The B&N edition of Riftwake looks pretty!

I wish there were more special edition paperbacks! It looks pretty, but it's just more comfortable for me to read paperback rather than hardcover books. RIP MMP my beloved. I am tempted by the ships on the end papers though.

Art source: B&N exclusive edition

ISO Tim the Canadian Goose

Hi! Not really sure how this works. Just got my first wooble, found out about Tim, and found out he's out of stock for good. This way I can get the wooble yard and still make him right?

Swordcrossed by Freya Marske - medium burn/slow emotional burn - yearning - idiots to lovers

{Swordcrossed by Freya Marske} was an absolute delight. It's the only book that's sold me on the >!3rd act breakup!< that didn't have me DNFing and hucking the book back to the library.

It's cozyish and low stakes, yet had me on the edge of my seat. It's plot heavy, with a twisty intrigue plotline. (I know that sounds counterintuitive but it's the vibe).

Smut isn't a draw for me, but I think they were well done scenes and I appreciated that they kept their personalities even in the bedroom.

If you're an audiobook reader, the narrator was absolutely top notch. I can't believe how good the casting was, he matched the vibe perfectly.

If you like vulnerable conmen, passionate stoic men, swords, intrigue, the "OW" (if you squint) character being treated with respect and given a good story, then you'll have a great time with this book.

The writing was excellent and I'm excited to read her backlog now.

I am so excited about the step back alternate cover art for the AH2 romance SE set.

I adored Lord of Scoundrels and Dreaming of you, and was cautiously excited for this release. I'm excited to get more art revealed but the reverse dust jackets with the step back art are everything that I hoped for. They have the mockups for the covers in this update: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ahpublishing/historical-trailblazers-romance-collection/posts/4656132

I haven't read the others in the set, but since the price of two books is pretty much the price of all 5 I'm probably just going to get the set. Who has read the others? Do you recommend them?
