Been using fb2k since 2005.

I did switch over to the Zune software in 2007-08, but then went back to 'ol faithful.

I have kept the same look since. Most of the time it is minimized to the tray. Lately, I have been looking through this sub and seeing some of y'alls setups, and its very refreshing to see. One of these days I will tag everything properly and be able to sort by artist instead of folder structure.

Just wanted to post about my experience.

Installed new mobo after PC would not turn on after hard reset.

TL;DR- upgraded motherboard, pc works, external hdd enlcosure might have caused a short.

PC specs
650w PSU , 5900x, RX6600, 32gb DDR4, and a B450m a ii mobo.(upgraded to a b550)

I got a 3.5in HDD enclosure to go through old drives of mine to format/archive. As I was going through the contents of one (dated 2012), my PC froze. I tried to open task manager, ctrl+alt+del, nothing was working. Resorted to a hard reset. Went to turn it on, and nothing. Power button would not work. I tried jumping the PC with a flathead, I reseated RAM, reset the CMOS, all the usual steps. Nothing worked. I thought it was the PSU, so I tested it, fan spins, so PSU is still good.

After the installation of the new motherboard, everything worked again. Now, I ask you, what could have caused the issue? I am thinking the new enclosure shorted something out on the motherboard, but is that possible via USB?

This is my Windows endgame desktop.

Once I am done with WGU and get bored of BF6, I will be migrating to cachyOS and then the rice will commence.

Since I got my the Shanling M1, I've been reliving my youth.

In high school, (2006-2010) I used to frequent music sites (/mu/ and pitchfork) and blogspots to find new music. I would search and buy the CDs at Half Price Books/Recycled Books (shoutout Denton) and rip them using EAC, listen to them on my Zune 120gb and foobar2000 on my PC. I still use foobar, and no longer have the Zune and I have to say, I have been enjoying the time spent listening to my collection once again. Do you still listen to music on your PC? What is your go-to player? Is this part of owning a DAP?

Accidentally washed my Nook Glowlight. Looking for a replacement.

Misplaced my Nook Glowlight, asked my wife and she had mentioned she seen it on top of the dirty clothes basket in the restroom. Once she said that, I went to check and sure enough the cycle was complete. Took it out of the washer and was greeted with Vonnegut staring back at me. So it goes.

So, I am now in the market for a new e-reader. I would prefer to buy secondhand, something snappy, and something I can keep offline. Any recommendations?

Joined the club today...

Shanling M1 Plus paired with Kiwi Cadenza.

First listen is Between the Buried and Me "Colors (Live)".

Ive been going through my library and converting a few albums to MP3 v0, as I only have a 32gb SD card at the moment. Pleasantly surprised so far.
