Aural fullness, pain and mild tinnitus after concert

Hi,
I went to a concert on Sunday 4 days back which was painfully loud, I did not expect it to be so and did not have ear buds. I was probably 100 feet away from the speakers majority of the time. Since that day, I’ve had ear fullness that seems to alternate between ears, pain with sound especially, but also with burp (Eustachian tube issue?), as well as mild tinnitus in quiet. I’m truly worried as it has been more than 72 hours and the pain seems to have improved, but fullness and tinnitus still present. This has never happened to me before after 5+ concerts, but those were all stadiums/arenas, and this was just outside and I was much closer to the speaker.

I saw ENT today and my audiometry, tympanometry, and the eardrum/canal are all within normal limits, thankfully. There’s no sign of hearing loss. In fact, I had impacted ear wax on both sides that upon removing, made everything sound louder and more clear.

However, I’m still having fullness, pain and tenderness, especially with sound, as well as mild tinnitus when it’s silent.

I also have a concert scheduled for July 18, I know it seems silly to go at this point but I bought tickets and airfare. Would it be safe to go? In an arena, in the very back nosebleeds with earplugs. ENT and audiologist said I can go. I’ve never had issues at such arena/stadium shows in the past. Please give me your honest opinion. I am heartbroken, but will skip if it’s absolutely necessary.

This has never happened to me before but I’ve also never been to such a loud concert before and so close to the speakers. I’m terrified because I’ve seen many scary things online of permanent ear damage and symptoms never resolving or lasting for months. This is not what I knowingly signed up for and I’m truly hoping it will go away. I’m seeing an ENT tomorrow morning. I am taking magnesium and NAC supplements.

Please share advice or stories of hope. I’m very young and have a long life ahead of me.

I also have a concert scheduled for July 18, I know it seems silly to go at this point but I bought tickets and airfare. Would it be safe to go? In an arena, in the very back nosebleeds with Loop experience 2 earplugs. I’ve never had issues at such arena/stadium shows in the past. Please help.

Asthma and carpet cleaning smell hallway help

Hi guys,
My apartment has suddenly cleaned the hallway carpets with some cleaning agent that is super strong, smells like Pine Sol or Fabuloso, although those should not be used for carpet cleaning. The smell is so strong that it fills the entire hallway with fumes and triggered a really bad flare up for me. I’m scared that this smell is gonna last a really long time and I will continue to have flare ups. I could smell it through my N95, it was very strong and suffocating. Does anyone have experience with something like this. How long will it take for the smell to dissipate after the carpet dries?

Washing machine stains please help!

Hi,
Please help. Some of my clothes (usually my nicer going out clothes) get stains after putting them in the washer (before drying). I have attached a photo of the most recent event. The stains usually wash out when I rinse them in the sink, but a little discoloration might be stuck. It looks linty-grimy when I rub or rinse it off.

The washer is a year old (apartment), and I did run a washing load with a cleaning tablet about a 1-1.5 months ago. I wiped it down at the time as well but didn’t get much grime or anything. It’s a top loader with a middle agitator. I only use liquid detergent, nothing else. Please tell me how to stop this. I’m scared to wash my good clothes because I don’t want them to get stains.

Fragrance free and animal testing free?

Wondering if there’s any fragrance free brands that are also free from animal testing. I use cetaphil, clinique currently but both do animal testing ):

Hi guys,

I need help with something. I’ve been in an apartment for a couple months now with no issues, and I’ve used the split AC (wall mounted) without issues as well. Suddenly two weeks back, the split AC in my room smelled a bit off, like wet and a little musty. However, I used it that day without issues, even after noticing the smell. Later in the day, I cleaned the mesh filter with dish soap and water, let it fully dry, and put it back in. I ran it a little in the evening, smelled it, and it seemed fine. However, the next day, my asthma felt flared.

Basically, since then, whenever I use the AC, whether in my room or kitchen, my asthma definitely is getting flared. I even turned it on for 15 min while I went into the shower and then turned it off when I got out, but my asthma still got flared being in the room after. The AC in my room has been inspected and there’s no moisture or mold or anything. The units are also only about a year old. At first I thought maybe I was just because I was anxious about it, but now I really feel like it’s flaring me up. Any advice? It’s getting hot and it’s disturbing my sleep. Again, I used to use it all night without issues. I’d appreciate any help.

Also, once I turn off the AC, air out the apartment, my asthma eventually improves, especially with inhaler. I air out my apartment about twice a day, so it’s not like the air inside the apartment is stale.
