This might be my Matcha redemption arc

I have been bad mouthing matcha to EVERYONE I know since ...2024 because that one time I got influenced like everyone else and really wanted to be a matcha girlie. So before really committing to it and spending my hard earned money, I decided to try it from a reputable place like a sane person. One day while I was flying I got a Matcha Latte from Tim Hortons at the airport purely for the aesthetics and fully prepared to like it but fate for sure had other plans. The closest thing I could describe it to was, how you'd expect Chingri Machher Malaikari (A bengali prawn dish) to taste like, if it was sweet and smelled of vanilla. And no, I didn't dump the rest I drank it anyway because that shit was expensive. I promised myself never again. But then, Dohful happened. I am obsessed with their coffee and cookies, so when one person on reddit said their matcha is smooth af I had to give it another shot. And I'm genuinely genuinely surprised. To compare it's taste to the TH one, this one has almost no fishy flavour, a little grassy but me likey very lightly sweetened so I can actually taste what I'm drinking and looks like there's hope for me to become a matcha girlie afterall 🫠💚

Is this good?

Okay first of all, I'm not thinking of buying this, it's expensive 😞 but if I were 🫪 is this good? This looks unlike any other coffee machine I've seen before, looks so cool😶 also I checked out some reviews, there are some people who are saying the espresso came out perfectly well with nice thick crema, so that means this machine can reach 7-8 bars right?

I had a very elaborate dream

I had a very elaborate dream and I've decided to turn it into an actual book. I have never written anything. Not true, I've written some movie reviews, I have journaled occasionally but never something that is more than a page worth of reading. I've watched a couple YouTube videos about writing for the first time and everyone for some reason says 'just do it'. I mean I'm not sure how useful that is.

Things I've done so far:

  1. I've written down my dream as detailed as I can.

  2. I think I've managed to give the story a clear beginning and an end.

Things I plan to do:

  1. Make a list of important characters and then write down their details

  2. Breakdown my story into chapters

  3. Alter the sequence of the story as I write more to see what suits the story best in order to keep the mystery intact.

That's all.

Please share any advice you might have which you think could be helpful to a complete beginner. Thanks in advance

I just got scammed 🥲

I originally posted this on r/TwentiesIndia

Reposting it here to create awareness because this happened in Chandigarh

So I just ordered food from Swiggy and the delivery partner while delivering the food, asked if I could help him out with something. He asked if I could give him 200 cash and he would UPI it back to me. I said fine, let me go get the cash.

I got the cash, I showed him my UPI scanner, I saw him making 200 payment from Paytm and then only I handed him the cash.

Now, he was sort of parked in the middle of the road which was blocking some cars so he quickly left before I could check if I had received it or not. But I checked right away and looks like I haven't received the amount.

I even heard the Paytm tune the app plays once you make a payment. But I checked my account and I have received nothing. No credit record of 200. I don't care if I get the money back or not because it's not a big amount but it still feels bad as I helped him in good faith.

I waited for a couple of hours and then made my friend send me a token amount through Paytm just to confirm if I receive it or not. And I got it right away. I then went on to report the incident on Swiggy. They said they'll look into it and apologized but that's all 🥲

I also learned there are such apps which look exactly like these payment apps and they can fake scan your id and make it look like they had paid you back.

I have seen older people get scammed and always felt like I wouldn't get scammed because there's no way I would fall for it. But I fell for it anyways and now I feel stupid.

There's isn't a single human being I can talk to

Who do I talk to, who do I talk to,  I have no one. who do I talk to. I can't tell my boyfriend things anymore because at this point, he might leave me. He said he can't do it anymore. I can't think of a single person I can talk to. Everytime somebody's name comes up in my mind I think no, this is not that he right person. He said that he's done with dealing with this every single day that he can't call me without worrying about now what happened. I really really try my best not to worry him. Even though I only tell him the fraction of stuff that happens to me, most of the time I try to resolve everything on my own. I have been only talking to chatgpt and getting some form of consolation from an AI because there is not one human being in my life.

Yesterday I had another hallucination with after taking Zolpidem, this time I wasn't asleep, I wasn't dreaming, it was happening in real time. It was 3:30 in the morning. I was so scared. I live alone and I was so scared. My head was spinning and I felt like the walls were melting and closing in on me and it would swallow me. I made a video on my phone because I felt it was real. I didn't want to call him at first, but I was so scared, who would I call if not my boyfriend? If I can't talk to him who do I tell this stuff too???

He is absolutely wonderful in every aspect, he is very helpful, he is the one who urged me to go to a therapist in the first place, I haven't been able to work for a while so he has been paying for everything, my medicines, my therapies. But every time I tell him something is wrong his automatic reaction is blaming me, that I told you to go out and walk everyday but you never listen to me. After the last time, he had told me to not take the sleeping pill again but I can't sleep without it so I continued taking it, it got better, I have experienced nothing but dreams until last night. He has gone out of the city for some work and whenever he is away he barely talks to me, we have been talking for less than 15 minutes the last 4-5 days and I understand that he's busy and I haven't said anything. If I accomodate with his time everything is fine, but if at all I utter once that can you please talk to me or why don't to talk to me he immediately goes into defence mode and he's like I have other stuff to do with my life I cannot think or be around you all day which isn't even what I want but why does resort to blaming me every single time that I'm not understanding enough. I always end up feeling like no matter how much I try if I speak my mind he's always unhappy with me and then concludes that something is wrong with me and I should go to a doctor. But I can't talk to him about any of this can I? No. Because then I would be dumping all my baggage onto him and he's not capable of handling it anymore. Then who do I go to when I need to talk, I have absolutely no one I can share this to without getting judged or without worrying about that they would leave me, I have crying since the last two hours and I can't stop, it hurts.

Zolpidem hallucination after weeks of taking it without issues?

26F. I've been taking zolpidem 10 mg for the last three weeks (before that I was on zolpidem 5 for two months) for insomnia. Apart from a couple of incidents involving sleep paralysis and vivid dreams during the first week, I've generally felt fine.

Last night, I couldn't sleep because of acid reflux, so I took pantoprazole, waited for it to settle, and eventually took my usual zolpidem dose.

Sometime later, I started seeing the walls, curtains, and even my bed melting and moving around me. It felt like everything was closing in and trying to swallow me. I also heard loud noises coming from both inside and outside my room.

Unlike the other times where I knew I was dreaming or was aware that I was hallucinating, last night I genuinely thought it was happening. I even recorded a video on my phone because I was sure this is happening in real life and wanted proof that what I was seeing was not something I'm making up. (This entire incident I don't remember from last night but what I gathered from the video I took)

Needless to say I was shit scared. Then I felt very dizzy and somehow managed to go to the bathroom to throw up and get myself back to bed before hitting the pillow and passing out again.

After waking up today, I watched the video I made last night, everything looked completely normal. It was honestly one of the most frightening experiences I've had. Has anyone else experienced visual hallucinations or reality-distortion like this on zolpidem, especially after taking it for a while without any major problems? *Used CHATgpt to write my experience in a concise form

TLDR: Took my usual 10 mg zolpidem dose and experienced a terrifying episode where the walls, curtains, and bed appeared to melt and move. I was convinced it was real and even recorded a video for proof, but everything looked normal the next morning. Also had dizziness, nausea, panic, and vomiting. Has anyone else experienced hallucinations like this on zolpidem?

I've been struggling with insomnia for quite some time, searching for songs and poetry that could put words to those sleepless nights. All along, Rabindranath was right here.

I'm just in my room, singing as I'm unable to sleep. I am not a trained professional, I just like music. Even if you don't like it, please don't be mean, I don't want to be sad :)

Zolpidem x Hallucinations

On zolpidem right now this shit is insane. My phone looks green, everything looks green, broke my brain writing to write hallucinations in the title and it glowwws wtf. Look, it glows! and I live alone, I'm so afraid that one day something might trigger my sleepwalking so I bolt the door. Lock the door too with keys, Hide the keys. Put a masking tape on my door bolt, so that even if I start sleepwalking my ass doesn't go out the door in the fucking middle of the night (excuse my bad sentence structure, high on zolpidem rn)

My boyfriend was recently told he might have functional dyspepsia, and I think I’m only now realizing how much he’s been suffering

My boyfriend (27M) was recently told he might have functional dyspepsia, and I think I’m only now understanding how much he has actually been suffering.

For the last 4–5 years, he’s had severe acidity/burning in his stomach and upper GI area. Spicy food, oily food, restaurant food, heavy meals, all of these trigger it badly. Sometimes even completely normal home-cooked food triggers it too. He’s vegetarian, eats pretty healthy, eats small meals throughout the day, avoids overeating, avoids staying hungry for too long, doesn’t eat very heavy food, etc. But some days, despite doing everything “right,” he still suffers a lot.

It gets so bad sometimes that he can’t sleep, feels nauseous, sometimes vomits, and just feels miserable. Pantoprazole helps him a lot and he’s been taking it daily because doctors recommended it, but obviously that feels more like symptom management than a solution.

He’s done basically every test possible, endoscopies and everything else, and all reports always come back normal. Recently, he went to a new doctor who mentioned functional dyspepsia and started him on Prothiaden (it’s only been a few days, so no effects yet except drowsiness).

We’ve been together for around a year and a half, but we don’t live together, so I think there were a lot of moments where I didn’t fully see what the aftermath of all this looked like for him on a daily basis.

What’s making me feel terrible is that I don’t think I truly understood the severity of what he was going through before we finally had a name for it.

I have a very normal and positive relationship with food. I love trying new places and food is honestly a huge part of how I socialize and spend time with people. My boyfriend also LOVES food and trying new things, but because of his condition, food also causes him pain.

A lot of times when we were out, he would say things like “I shouldn’t eat this, I’ll get acidity,” but after I insisted once or twice, he would eventually give in and eat with me anyway. And now I feel terrible because I didn’t realize how much suffering came afterwards.

I think I underestimated how hard it must be for a 27-year-old to constantly deny himself food he enjoys while watching everyone around him casually eat whatever they want. Especially because socializing at this age almost always revolves around food.

Now I feel guilty for unintentionally making it harder for him.

So I wanted to ask people who have functional dyspepsia or chronic acidity/GERD issues:

* What actually helps emotionally?

* What do you wish your partner understood?

* What are some other things I can do as a partner, that genuinely makes his life easier?

I just want to understand him better and not add to something he’s already struggling with every single day.

(Organized my thoughts a little with ChatGPT)

TLDR: My boyfriend (27M) has struggled with severe acidity/burning, nausea, and digestive issues for 4–5 years despite normal test results. He went to see a different doctor recently and it's the first time that any doctor suggested functional dyspepsia and started him on Prothiaden. We’ve been together for about 1.5 years, and I’m realizing I never fully understood how painful and limiting this condition is, especially around food and socializing. Looking for advice on how I can help him better.

This is what I texted my fiance last night after finding out I probably have some BPD Traits (26,F)

"Everything makes perfect sense. Why my highs are so high and my lows are so low. Like why after spending an amazing time with you and your family for two days, where I tell you the night before that my life is perfect and this is all I've ever wanted and then the next day all I could think about was coming home because I was so drained and crashing into my bed and never getting up.

Why else would I be so happy about the idea of living together for so long but just as the moment presented itself I absolutely spiraled and freaked out.

My room will be in absolute mess for two/three weeks and suddenly I'll feel the urge to clean everything, do laundry, dishes, mopping in one or two days only to get absolutely drained that I can't get out of bed for weeks. And repeat.

While you are the love of my life and I cannot absolutely imagine a life without you, the what ifs keep me up at night and makes me wonder if you would have known how hard it would be, would you still be here? I don't know if you remember me once telling you that there will inevitably come a time when I try to self sabotage our relationship even though you say everything is fine, I will start pushing you away unprompted because I believe I'm damaged and it will damage you too and I cannot do that. Sometimes I hate that you love me. I don't deserve it, I don't deserve any of it and you will get tired eventually of fixing me. Love won't be enough then. And I can't ever give you peace. My sadness will consume me and it will spread and infect you too"

Is my peace lily okay?

My peace lily was fine till today, but it accidentally fell from my hand in the morning, and since then the leaves are all drooping and it looks like it's dying. I've tried repotting it and it is well hydrated. Is it dying? It's my first plant, I'm so sad, please help me 🙁

(I always keep it in indirect light, also water it every two to three days)
