Some pics from a 3rd Ed 40k game I had. My Blood Angles faced off against my opponent’s home brew chapter: The Abstainers.

Possibly fueled by rumors of heretical teachings by the Abstainers’s chaplain, the Blood Angels took to the field in a classic cleanse mission . The mission was a success, having tabled the Abstainers while sustaining heavy losses by turn 5. Were the Abstainers fostering heresy? Who will know… the Abstainers fought to the last man with their chaplain taking a last stand to destroy the Baal Predator before being cut down in a torrent of red armour.

Just a fun/fluffy 1,000 points game to dust off the old rule books and get the old minis on the table. Getting to play against a great opponent, fully painted armies and boards, and a great gaming space really make the hobby.

These marines will fully bulk out the two infantry detachments of my demi company. After about 1k points completed, I feel like I have finally refined the painting recipe and the couple extra weathering steps on the tanks really added a lot.

A single rhino from the recent plasma marine detachment I completed. More to come after I process the all pics.

Finished the assault detachment awhile back, but finally got a quality pic of one of the stands.

Went to the Warhammer Open - Tacoma over the weekend and earned a silver with my Necron Royal Warden. Fun experience and very useful feedback on my submission.

Not the most exciting painting project, but feels good to have them done.

First Blood Bowl team. Really fun (and contained) project. Set out with this to a speed painting challenge. Though they still took quite a while, it was a lot faster using contrast paints with a brush for the first time in the more traditional application.
