Hello everyone,
I am doing some genealogical research about my family roots, which come from Eskipazar (which used to be called Viranşehir) in Turkey. For this research, I am using some Nufus documents as well as Temettuat documents from around 1843–1845. However, finding my exact city/village in the Viranşehir documents has proven to be challenging, as they are all handwritten and hard to work through.
So is anyone who has experience in reading these types of things willing to help me in this regard?

I am trying to research my paternal genealogy up to medieval times, but am running into some major resource and transcription issues. I would like to know if anyone with experience in Turkish or related genealogy can help me with this matter.
My last name is Kara, and my paternal ancestors are from a small village named Yazıboy in Eskipazar, Turkey. In the Turkish government’s official genealogical service, the earliest paternal line ancestor of mine that shows up is Mustafa Kara (1861–1846) who is still listed as living in Yazıboy village and whose father’s name is listed as İsmail. I want to go back much farther if possible, but things get significantly difficult on many fronts, so anyone who can assist would be appreciated.

I’m Arda, a 17 year old original independent musician living in Dubai. I write all my songs myself, record them in professional recording studios and release them on major streaming platforms.
My songs have a variety of instruments in them, but the only one I can actually play myself is the piano. Thus, I had a bit of an idea.
If any of you can play, let’s say, electric guitar, bass guitar, drumkits, etc. to a relatively advanced level
How about we do like a band type of thing? We will arrange times to go to the studio together and record music.
I will pay for all the studio stuff (recording, mixing/mastering, etc.). All you have to do is play your instruments! And when we release songs in which your instrument-playing is present, you will earn a percentage of the song revenue. Thus, there is something in it for you as well!
Furthermore, if you do want to weigh in on the songwriting itself (instead of just playing what I wrote), if you want to write the songs together, Im totally OK with that! In fact, that is better for me to have more than just one person writing the songs.

I’m Arda, I have been kinda semi-active on this community before; recently I’ve become an original independent musician and a content creator, though still quite niche and unknown.
I have lived in Dubai for the vast majority of my life and am now 17, turning 18 this November. Being this age, I’m at this weird point where I still cannot go into “18+” social communities, but still feel really old compared to many others in these Teenager spaces.
Thus I’ve been kinda lonely in tryna find a community for me. I have a fear that if I make friends on “teenager” communities, those friends will either not want to, or be too young to, stay with me through to my young adulthood.
So I’m making this post to ask whether there’s anybody, preferably at least 15+ or 16+, who would like to connect and have a social chat. Maybe it could become a friendship that stays with us past these subreddits and such.

I’m Arda. I am a content creator, but not a gaming creator. I have a community on Discord and recently we’ve started our own Minecraft SMP server which has been very well received and quite active.
I was thinking that if any gaming/Minecraft creator wants an SMP to play on and make content on, they could give mine a try, the reason being that it would benefit everyone involved. The creator would have a means to make content, and me and my community would have more publicity.

I am a 2-time cancer survivor and neurodivergent. I am also an original independent musician.
I really like playing multiplayer Minecraft so I was looking for a small SMP server to join, preferably a whitelisted one and one with a good community where people know each other. I prefer servers WITHOUT too many shenanigans like complex mods, political/economic systems and lore. I prefer simple relaxed gameplay.

Hello everyone!
My name is Arda and I’m 17 years old. I live in Dubai, UAE.
I am a 2-time cancer survivor and neurodiverse individual.
I recently started recording and releasing my own original music, with styles and lyrics inspired by my experiences with cancer, bullying and depression, and other life struggles during my childhood and teenage years.
However, I’m struggling to get attention, especially in the modern music scene. I have messaged UAE radio stations to see if I can get my music on there and none have responded. I have looked for opportunities to perform, but most “open mics” are in bars and lounges that are very strictly 21+ entry here. Thus, I have had few opportunities to establish myself regionally. I think the biggest source of traction for me will be social media, but since I’m not that good at content creation (though my music is on streaming platforms and also on social media), I haven’t been able to gain much popularity or to go “viral”.
So I’m making this post to ask for tips in this regard, or for any help the people on Reddit could offer. I really believe that my music is worth noticing.
