It looks like my Belize is indeed putting out 2 new branches yay! It's a slower process than I anticipated but she's looking good :) apologies for the dusty leaves, i will be taking care of that this weekend

It's honestly like looking at two different plants. I bought this rex silver dollar from the plant shop looking entirely like the left leaf, it proceeded to just suffer a slow melting death until I put her in a pickle jar as a last ditch effort and now she is thriiiiving. Such a beautiful plant
Hope you enjoy. One of my faves from WEG
It put out this pink nub a few weeks ago and since then it's just sitting there doing absolutely nothing, neither wilting nor growing. Any clue what it may be?
When I tell y'all to use semi hydroponic fertiliser in the moss pole this is what I'm talking about!!
I found out I wasn't keeping my moss pole moist enough and well... the moment I corrected that, this little guy popped right out (along with 2 new aerial roots lol)!
I recently ordered my first alocasia, a young black velvet variety from a local nursery. I specifically instructed royal mail to NOT leave the parcel outside in a safe place. I specifically told them if there is no one able to come to the door please bring it to a post office for pickup.
Guess what.
They put my parcel in the rubbish bin outside in the sun and the worst part is the heat wave has caused that specific bin to develop maggots seemingly overnight.
They did this around 5h before the end of my work shift.
I have no idea what I'll be coming home to and I am honestly very displeased. The parcel will probably be crawling with maggots.
Sorry if this doesn't fit the sub but I'm so frustrated and idk where else to put this
Hi all, this is my first time owning a ficus (this is a Belize) and I've recently pruned it in hopes of making it bushier. Today I've noticed these little red protrusions which don't appear anywhere else. Is this a sign of new growth coming out or is it something else? Thank you x
Really excited to see if it'll branch out. Looking at the stem it looks like it previously attempted to but the plant shop cut the growth off. I know shes got it in her 🙏
She's been pushing leaves like crazy which tells me she's eager to grow so im hoping the favorable seasonal conditions will help in this process.
She is moat definitely in need of some TLC but rest assured she is in caring hands ~
