I forgot how these first weeks are very similar to being a new human father. Panzer is not 100% on board with this tiny set of teeth on legs. Could be worse. Our rescue Siamese cat has taken up residence under my daughters bed and only comes out to stare daggers at Maus
When I woke up this morning I did not expect to be introduced to a pack of Prussian Blue Danes. Several YouTube videos and coffee with my wife at 0600hrs and by 1900hrs we have a new family member! Panzer is being the gentleman about it and I have assured him the fire lookout tower can fit both of them ( not sure where I will sleep lol). It was a bit of a challenge to find a German tank name for a female but Maus will work in a couple great ways (WW2 German super heavy). The meet and greet went great with Panzer and almost all the pups. Maus picked me and didn’t leave my side the entire time.
The breeder is next level good! I took a few pics and will share more when Maus moves in Wednesday to her forever home!
It’s the giant laser rifle being held in the hand…. It just a terrible design. In a “real world” trying to source this weapon I don’t think is used by any other mech would be a nightmare right? Panzer has always had a bit of a “Drip” issue as an intact male but as we quickly approach his 8th birthday (4 months) the drip is much worse. My wife saw a YouTube video with a senior Dane rescue with what looks like a scarf? Old T-shirt? Around the waist. This would save our couch some steam cleaning and our hardwood a few mops a week. Anyone use something like this? It would be great to be able to put it on before I leave for work.
I decided to start the entire game over again (54 days playtime Xbox). With the new data base finding and purchasing every single mech and its variants should be much easier now. I imported my game for the fresh start and I’m only running small amounts of clan tech on my lance mates. ( it’s going to be a few years until I can get replacements) I did outfit a Catapult with the Arrow IV and watching my pilot launch it straight up into the stratosphere and seeing it land behind the walls of the enemy base on a Panther has been very entertaining.
That catapult has been going out on missions now solely for the laugh I get when the Arrow IV hits.
So glad the devs included it with the dlc
2 years ago Christmas Eve we decided to walk our neighborhood to look at the lights. Our cats will regularly follow us on walks but at a distance, darting in and out of concealment to say hello. Panzer sees our black “cat” on the trail and does his usual butt sniff. It was the south end of a northbound skunk. I didn’t get any sleep that night (thank god for scent block).
Wednesday night 0100hrs. I’m sleeping downstairs on the recliner with a hotpad on my back and a pillow under my knees after a very hard day as a 30yr UPS driver. I hear what sounds like a bull in a china shop knocking over furniture upstairs and my daughter yelling for me to come help.
My daughter the university student night owl opened the slider on the back deck so Panzer could go pee real quick. I guess the skunk was not 2 feet away just passing by and Panzer leaped with joy to say hi to our “cat” and caught the full blast right in the face and chest. The overspray went in to our kitchen and living room.
Poor guy was wet with the oily stink and we spent the next 2 hours flushing his eyes and applying scent block then washing and repeating until it was just a faint smell.
Kiddo took a couple pics on day 2 of the baby shampoo bath. You can see the regret on Panzers face.
Anyone else a bit heartbroken we haven’t gotten a proper movie riff from the guys in a few weeks? Bridget and Mary Jo are doing all the heavy lifting while these guys are being held hostage by the mads on the SOL. When they did the crowdfunding for the 4 episodes I was wondering if they had enough movies already riffed to cover the time it would take to rebuild from scratch.
Hurry home safe and sound guys. I don’t think you realize how many of us and how much we look forward to the full length riffs

Our cats have nothing on Panzer when it comes to finding a sunny patch to relax
It’s been a few years since our group had an encounter or even fresh signs in what was a crazy active area we have been working since 2017. I think it was 2023 when we had the 2 juveniles circle in behind our LP/OP and creep up to about 50ft. ( posted about it back then).
3 years of working all our hotspots Alpha-delta and just one wood knock last winter that I missed out on while taking a quick nap in the truck.
Last weekend we set up a LP/OP right in the middle of 2 hotspots on an old logging road (spur?) that was used to turn around the logging equipment. Around 3am we had 2 “owls” start hooting between our LP/OP, one on our left and one to the right. The calls quickly turned from slightly off owl calls to much louder samurai chatter that was very animated and loud. It only lasted about 30 seconds from beginning to end but knowing our “research” area is once again active after 3 years feels great!
Ended up needing every single bit to get to the exfil
The scout trooper has been my favorite armor in the entire starwars universe. A 1/1 movie quality set is on my bucket list. Added O-Light Spheres (2) to each helmet so I can get the lenses to show. Using the app I can choose a fireplace/flame setting that makes it look like the Troopers are watching something burn in the distance. The Snow Trooper was one really wanted but the long gator was too big for the small shelves. Hope you guys like them as much as I do!
Is anyone else considering canceling their TPB+ in the next few days? I joined years and years and years ago.
Purchased the collections and the movies. When we lost John I stayed with the boys out of pure loyalty. I knew the show would never be able to capture that lightning in a bottle Lahey was. Ignored all the drama around smiths first round of accusations and gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued the monthly charges. The laughs got fewer and fewer with every jail episode and getting learnt. The podcast slowly turned into the bubbles show yet I kept giving them the views because the boys had given myself and my Dad so many Sundays of great food/laughs and quality time. Wore the dirty burger shirt to every BBQ.
This radio silence from a business I have supported for 15+ years? Has really gotten under my skin. Swearnet know exactly what’s going on and what the game plan is.
Why they refuse to release or explain might be the final straw. The boys for a decade have said they need us to keep making content and they love us… I’m starting to think swearnets business model is just as evil as the crimes Mike has been accused of.
