Show recorded 19th December 2012, any ideas what series this would have been part of? Email says “Show 46”.

Long shot I know but my only memory is a contestant had a unique name (which I have since forgotten)

Were you ever in the audience for Top of the Pops?

Watching TOTP 2000 and it’s such a glorious time capsule. The clothes, the hair styles, the dancing…and the less said about the music the better. Was it a lot of standing around? Meet any of the acts? How obvious was the lip syncing in real life?

Who is your favourite Mr Men or Little Miss character?

Or are there any new ones you would create? But everyone surely has a favourite?!

Why do we not have zero tolerance for people driving on the phone?

I genuinely don’t know why if someone gets caught scrolling/texting/talking on their phones they do not get an immediate lifetime driving ban? Would it just lead to more people driving whilst banned? As this (along with drink and drug driving) destroys lives, why is there not a zero tolerance approach? If you choose to use your phone, then you’d know the consequence so I would hope it would put more people off

What’s the best thing a manager has ever done for you?

Inspired by the recent “worst thing a manager has ever done”. Let’s have some good news stories cos not all managers are arseholes.

Do people use Starlink in the UK?

Currently in the countryside and Sky broadband is only getting 24 download speed which is obviously suboptimal.

Looking into Starlink, does anyone here use it and is it worth the slightly higher monthly cost?

Have had enough…at last

Been putting off cancelling Sky due to some weird “need to have recording” function. They put my new contact to £117 per month, phoned up to do the cancellation dance. Best they could do is £99 per month (Sky signature, Sky Sports, Broadband ((that has been well below the guaranteed speed for a while now so need to cancel that for free too!!)))

Is Apple TV (£199) and Now TV (£31p/m) the way to go? Honestly Sky treat us loyal customers like dirt and no wonder they are going down the pan quickly.

Just wanted some reassurance that others have broken free and arrived at the sunlit uplands?

Renewal dance

Seen some very helpful posts on here about the bi-annual renewal jiggerypokery we all have to partake in.

I currently pay £93 p/m for Ultimate, Sports and HD (hello Sky it’s 2026 stop charging for HD), and broadband included.

As of next month it’s due to go to £96, not a massive jump but still expensive for what it all is.

I am thinking about going Apple TV (£130 one off) and then Now TV sports and entertainment (£31 for 6 months). That’s obviously a much superior deal. Do you think Sky would go any lower than £96, they’ve said they can’t over chat but just wanted to see if anyone else has done similar and moved on finally?

What is your 5 Minutes of Fame?

Everyone has it, what was yours? Or did you get more than your allocated 5 minutes?

Finally made it despite…

Can’t believe I made it despite falling foul of the Westminster Protocol 2013 twice and then walking straight into the Aldgate East Amendment 1999.
